I think my post might have come across as judgmental - it wasn’t supposed to be that. I’m genuinely gutted for her because that cost her a lot of her disposable income and she started the journey relatively early when there was a lot less research or even anecdotal info about this works and how to maintain. Probably fuelled by unhelpful TikToks about fat melting nonsense.

@TheBossOfMe you didn’t come across as judgmental to me in your post. I took it as an important cautionary tale for something that worries most of us. It is one of the reasons why I am trying to keep my dose as low as possible, I’m currently on 3.75mg and trying to keep it there. 22kg down and circa 10kg left to go to give myself a bit of wriggle room.

I second you @northernlight20about people being nicer, I’ve also found that they take me more seriously in a professional capacity which is somewhat annoying.

The good news is that Zava dispatched my order from 24/08 yesterday, the bad news is that the Royal Mail sent it to the wrong delivery office so didn't deliver today, it is still showing at that location, hopefully I will get it tomorrow.

@TheBossOfMe didn’t come across judgmental at all. I’m currently at 12.5mg and will go up to 15mg as well at some point. Wish I could have stayed at low doses but they wear off eventually (notice buildup of water weight when they stop having an effect). I also had a friend who lost 2st in 4months went cold turkey and 3st regained within 5 months , she restarted MJ and will be filtering down instead of going cold Turkey this time. Even though I haven’t lost as much as I wished I could due to several plateau it’s been a game changer and a reset of my brain around food. Although I don’t want to be on MJ forever I will go down doses very slowly to adjust the body combined with increased excersize.

@northernlight20 i second that too . I think it’s a mix of being slimmer and me being more confident but I too don’t like the feeling!

back on the school run this week and plenty have commented on my weightloss, despite not loosing much over summer

HI all. Really pleased for you all of you who have had such a lot of success. And I'm glad I've still got some company in here. I'm plodding on.

SW - 127kg
CW - 111kg
GW - 73kg.

Physically I can see the difference, my scrubs at work feel much better, i no longer have to cherry pick the bottoms I pick (there are two manufacturers - one does "boy" cut, the other more forgiving to the female form) as both options in my size fit. I've also noticed that my fat also feels less dense/ more wobbly than it did before - this isn't a loss of muscle bulk, it's the actual fat. My friend thinks I"m making this up - any of you noticed it?

So while I'm disappointed it's been slow it feels sustainable. I still feel/ look better so I'm trying to stay positive.

I've managed to get my hands on three 10mg pens pre-price increases. I suspect I'll just pony up the additional cost. I really want to get to goal even if it takes me until the end of 2026.

Once I hit 100kg or thereabouts I'm planning to start running again. I enjoy it, but my knees won't cope with me doing it at the moment. I had tried to swim instead but it's not the same. I used to enjoy spin but it fell out of my routine - might have a look at the gym timetable. I do struggle with finding time to exercise.

Oh yes I get what you mean about the fat, noticed it first at thighs and hips and now arms and tummy. Starting to get loose skin now at inner thighs and some on tummy , thankfully not yet at arms but I think this is how fat reduces first the density before disappearing.

I started a weekly Zumba class at around 105kg started easy and now able to it full on , find this as good level to start with full body but not too bad on knees (I abstain from the jumping) also do more walking as not as much out of breath. Planing to start getting back into spinning at 90 kg (currently 93 ish kg down from 115)

I hope that you are all having a good weekend, I have been away on holiday in Italy and now back to reality. I have decided that I should have been born an Italian Countess and waft about the Italian coast.

This week I have lost 2lb taking me down to the lowest weight I have been since 2018!

Well done to everyone for sharing their wins this week, I need to decide what my target weight is.

Can’t remember who posted up thread but I know exactly what you mean about for body being firm before I am certainly softer than before but I am lucky that I do not have loose skin.

Hello all! It’s been a while. I’ve had a long summer - holidays and spending as much time with my children before they travel/go to university. I’m still on 2.5 which now has zero suppression, and I’ve found that my desire for empty carbs has crop back. I excercise less. I absolutely can’t rely on Mounjaro making me want to eat clean any more - I had a massive cannoli, a pizza, aNd a tennis ball sized arancini yesterday and I’m drinking about half a bottle of wine a week. I also started drinking coffee again. I have most the ability to stop eating when I’m not hungry and greed has resumed / I could have eaten two arancini and an ice cream. Also that feeling of having to finish it because it’s on your plate / an obligation to scrape it clear / has returned….
I gained three or four pounds over the summer - five weeks of it away - and I’m going to resume a proper excercise and food routine in the next couple of weeks.
i don’t want to go back -I look much better and feel much better and I’ve saved a lot of money on clothes as all my old wardrobe fits.
Eating less clean made me feel less energised and I realised that ‘feeling fat’ is also about the feeling and effects (bloating and sluggishness) of eating lots of carbs and sugar and that I ought to stop. I’ll stay on 2.5 for a while. I’m back at 63 kg (s/w 73) and I want to get down to 61 and the. Micro dose at 1.25 for a few months and then stop. I dread my snoring and my joint pains coming back though…

@TheBossOfMe that's really sad for your friend. I've been thinking about life post MJ as I just can't afford the new prices, so the 2 pens I have will be my last. I kind of wish I'd moved up the doses more while I could!

Historically, I am crap at maintaining. Whatever diet ive ever done, weight drops off me (i listca stone in the first 2 weeks of MJ) but then I struggle to maintain and I KNOW this is down to food habits. I feel like my current way of eating is more sustainable and I really REALLY don't want to be fat again!

@Imissgoldengrahams hope you dont mind me asking, hiw does mj work for you with no suppression?

No loss to report this week as STS. Not surprised as I’m the weight I was 2019-2020 so probably a new set weight, as now only 1lb down in 3 weeks. Did second shot of 12.5 on Friday and although the SE is completely gone the suppression on 12.5 is so different as I have food noise and more hunger but can eat less .

looking at the more positive is that I lost 7lb since start of August so still on track of my average 3kg a month and lost 1.9 st in the last 3 months which is 12kg

hoping the losses returns soon (also going to up my water drinking as been lagging at this and may be the reason)

Hi all,

STS this week which was kind of expected as I've been quite hungry. Took my dose (6.25mg) a day early as yesterday the food noise was so loud and quite intrusive. Feeling back to normal now the jab has kicked in. This is just cementing my thinking that I can never come off. I've said before but the weight loss is almost a bonus at this point. I so impressed with all the other effects and I cant go back to that if I was to stop MJ.

Going up to 7.5 next week. Ive tried 7.5 once about month ago and it was too strong hence me being on 6.25 but I think I'm ready to try 7.5 again.

Also a big NSV this week, I fit, albeit a bit tight, into size 16 non stretchy trousers. For work I usually wear m and s trousers with a stretchy waistband and pre MJ I was in a size 20. I then went down to an 18 in the same trousers but I wanted some that were non stretchy and a bit smarter. Found a pair of 16 in a charity shop and they only went and fit! Granted they are a bit tight but I'm sure in a few weeks they'll fit properly. Plus I tried them on over tights 😂 so need to try them on normally and see if they are ok

Still hanging around 12st 10. I think it must be a set point as it’s certainly a bit of a plateau. I’ll just sit through it and hope it goes down eventually. I don’t much want to go up to 12.5 if I can avoid it. Expensive and I don’t want to go up to the penultimate dose with 2 stone to go.

Hi all, another 1lb lost this week which I'm pleased with. It means my goal is almost in sight. I have titrated down to 3.75mg and am feeling absolutely no effects from Mounjaro now so am hoping that this will help me as I get to grips with portion sizes and food habits ready for maintenance. I have another month or so of Mounjaro left and then will be stopping.

One of my good friends has been off Mounjaro for two months and has found maintenance fine so far so I'm hoping that I'm the same as I'll be continuing my intermittent fasting. But I know it's not about whether I can maintain for two weeks, or two months, or even two years. It's about lifelong change. I'm hopeful but nervous, like a PP I've always regained weight I've lost on diets before but I've never lost this much before and I've also worked on overhauling my eating patterns completely without cutting anything out which is a total change from when I did Slimming World or Slim Fast etc in the past.

SW pre MJ: 15st 1lb

SW on MJ - March 8th so 6 months today!: 14st

CW: 10st 12lbs

GW: 10st 7lbs

2lb off for me this week with a slightly elevated dose because I was syringing the golden dose (probably about 6mg instead of 5mg). Have felt awful all week, so whilst the loss has been nice I think I'd rather go back to my slow and steady 0.5-1lb per week that I had with 3.75mg/5mg.

I'm very close to goal now - currently 10st 5lb and lowest I think I want to go is 10st. All my clothes from a couple of years ago fit nicely again now and I've bought some nice size 8/10 jeans - I'm happy with that. Just need to get back to the gym now the kids are back at school to tone up a bit more. So, I'll be back to 5mg this week and might even titrate down to 3.75mg in a couple of weeks.

@GameOfJones Nice to hear about your friends experience post MJ, like you I’m planning to use intermittent fasting long term to maintain, and I know so much more about nutrition now and use of protein to feel fuller, grow muscle and bone density and so prioritise this, that’s a real shift for me.

I’m plateau tastic, still at 10st 3lb, 3rd week hovering here, am ok with this, last time I was under 10st was 25 years ago, it’s making me think about adjusting my goal, maybe for me this is actually good enough, my body composition now from then is more muscle and that’s going to be heavier. I’m now a size 12 down from 18/20 and feeling stronger than ever before. I’m at top end of healthy BMI, so wanted to get in the mid range before titration down, but with the muscle built, and continuing this, maybe the BMI is less important.

@Ingangoolie @GameOfJones, me too carrying on forever with the intermittent fasting, it's what I used to do when I was slim before anyway but I got out of it, now firmly entrenched thanks to MJ.
1 or 2 lb down this week I think, so 8 11.
Still wearing some 12 clothes I bought in the summer that are hanging off, I need some nice autumn /winter clothes that properly fit. Reluctant to as I keep thinking I'll put it back on.

I'm still here, plodding on...... still on 2.5 also. I wouldn't say I have a lot of suppression like in the good ol days but I rarely feel hungry and never have any desire for 'naughty food ' as it were.

Loss of 1.8lb this week bringing me to a total of 52lb. 🎉🎉

Keep thinking about the end weight. Top end of normal is another 26 odd lbs which would be a total of over 5.5st. I know I should have more faith in myself but I just cannot see that happening. So I've resigned myself to being still overweight but that's better than at the top end of obese like I was.

So I'm aiming for 10 stone 7 stone - currently 11st 7 so 1 st to go and then I'll review.

a frustrating week , woke up in middle of the night with ravenous hunger. Did second jab of 12.5 on Friday and 0 suppression , food noise. I can eat less when eating and focusing on protein to fill me longer but getting hungry between meals. I’m starting to think it’s the injection sight as this high dose should work more right? The thing is I have only done tummy as that’s my problem area and thinking of doing thighs next , where do you do it, on the top (if sitting)? Do you hold the fat ensuring you don’t hit a muscle? Any advise on improvement in effect in injection sights would be helpful please

Similar thing happened while I did third jab of 7.5 and hoping this is a blip but I’m not ready for a longer stall as still want to loose 2-2.5 st and hoping this is a similar odd glitch

Just checking in. As I previously posted i decided 3 weeks ago that I was done. The awful 💩 issues combined with a weariness meant I'd just had enough. I had one pen left in the fridge with one dose left in it.

I continued to weigh daily (as I've always done) and really knuckled down with my calorie counting. Id loosely counted before but not to this extent.

When i was 'done' I weighed 161.8lbs and today I am the same. Last Saturday I weighed in at 163.2kbs and had a wobble. I decided to take 2.5mg from the pen I had as I panicked. Since then I've continued to track and weigh although I have allowed myself some extras.

I've been reading a lot on this thread and others and feel like cold turkey isn't an option for me so I ordered a 2.5mg pen from Oushk yesterday. Didn't really think it through as today I've realised I could have got one much cheaper elsewhere! So today I've registered with Pharmulous and ordered another 2.5mg pen from them and it was £35 cheaper!!

I plan to take 2.5mg doses and try to space them out for longer than a week, hopefully pushing out to 2 weeks. 161lbs remains my target and im allowing +/- 3lbs either side.

I still feel great and my next focus is to get in the gym to try and rediscover my bum as it's MIA.

That was a bit of a ramble but I said I'd update.

TLDR: cold turkey isn't for me, mentally more than physically. So I've lowered from 7.5mg to 2.5mg and will see how I go.

@Bipaloss I’ve had random glitches in effectiveness - once after a wedding when I’ve had alcohol, I was ravenous for about 4-5 days after (I don’t drink since, WLIs make it have no effect whatsoever on my mood, and I get terrible breakouts on my face afterwards, plus the hunger, all around not worth it), then sometimes before my period, and a few times for 1-3 days after injecting a higher dose (it was making me feel out of sorts, and I think my brain was interpreting it as “food will help surely”). I dropped the dose slightly and it went away. Is 12.5 giving you any side effects?

Yeah I pinch my fat and hold it for the injection, I started on a thigh but my fat there is kinda…hard? And attached? Idk how to explain it, it doesn’t “lift” conveniently when I pinch 😬 After 1-2 injections I moved to belly where it is really easy lol (or it was, I can see the roll getting much smaller and it’s becoming challenging to grab it now 🥹)

I’m at -12kg for a second day in a row! 2kg from goal (11st) or might try to push it to 4kg for a bit of a buffer (that would be 10 st 10 lbs). Thank you glad I’m not alone in having this odd bumps in the road.

I had SE first few days after first injection of 12.5 with strong suppression but no SE this week just the hunger really .

i get what you mean my legs are firm and skinny where as belly is flabby after 2 DC’s and weightloss 😂 il decide on Friday what to do . If next week is the same I’m considering switching to Wegovy after my 15 pen in the fridge as can’t afford a much longer stall so this is a bit frustrating 🫩 (although I am trying my best to continue with previous foods portions and schedule and ignoring the feeling)
