I took my first dose yesterday.

I have had severe effects from it all day today. I didn't realise that it would be this bad?

I have had severe nausea all day. I feel like I am going to throw up every ten minutes.

I have had really bad stomach pain.

I have had diarrohea.

I have had constant foul smelling sulphurus burps.

It's been awful.

It is to do with me, as i am pointing out behaviour on this forum.

I didnt say that she said mj was unsafe.

I said that she said she was very nauseous after upping her dose, which is the same thing that happened to me

You are deliberately ignoring the facts here.

Ooh i can't sleep as I have such bad stomach pain and i have been retching for hours

What is this medication doing to our body?

Side effects of medication should not be this severe.

It makes me wonder how safe it is.

This is your post where you question how safe it is.

Boliviabae · 29/06/2025 17:00

FoxRedPuppy · 29/06/2025 16:50

Yes but you also states the the drug was unsafe due to the side effects. And queried that due to your experience the drug might have a negative effect on everyone’s bodies.

I didnt "state that the drug was unsafe"

I ASKED, after I was very worried after being extremely sick for two days.

How can you be so heartless?

Other, more sensible posters, then rightfully replied that no drug is totally safe..

Why did you that?
I never said that i didnt write it?

I said that I did write it.

So why are you showing me my post.

No i'm pointing out that she experienced the exact same side effects that i did, so maybe you know.....it is important to talk about the side effects that a lot of people go through.

You lost 4 stone in 6 weeks?

the doctor saying your low calorie intake may have triggered it, makes sense. You are not supposed to have a low calorie intake, you are supposed to use MJ to help you eat a normal, balanced diet, in a deficit of course, but not low enough to trigger gastritis.

Yes I'm aware... I didn't do it on purpose! I couldn't eat!! And I still can't.
And it's 12 weeks I've lost 4 stone across. That's still too fast. As I said it's being investigated.

she did not say the exact same thing as you did though and that is what led to other people’s reactions to you

I’m m not twisting your words, and certainly not again as I never have. Those are my words and I stand by every one of them.

The other poster did not write the same thing as you so therefore did not get the same reaction as you.

Anyway I want to go back to talking about my side effects, which I think is important to talk about.

My stomach pain finally eased at 5.00pm today.

Still have nausea, but at least the pain is gone.

I have been really sick on MJ last week out of nowhere. I had had 3 doses of 2.5mg with no trouble. Literally no side effects. I thought - great I am one of the lucky ones. Took my 4th dose last Sunday and was planning to go up to 5mg a week later. Well...

Woke up early hours of Monday morning feeling nauseous and with sulphur burps. Then the diarrhoea started. Non stop for two days. I mean non stop. Monday I must have been up at least 15 times! I don't know where it was all coming from! Couldn't eat a thing or I'd be sick straight away.Had to take two days off work. Took Imodium to stop the diarrohea which more or less worked, but I still felt like rubbish for the rest of the week. Probably because I was weak and dehydrated. Between Monday to Friday I ate 3 dry pieces of toast only!

Only started to feel vaguely alright yesterday. I'm not sure what to do next really. I didn't jab today obviously and will think it over but I really do not want to go through that again. For me, it's not worth it.

Aw I sympathise. The nausea, diarrohea and sulphur burps can be horrible can't they.
I took today off work.

It has everything to do with me, when it is relevant to the abuse that I have received.

I wrote that i am sick afer taking a dose, I get abused and told I am scaremongering.

There are many other threads on here where people talk about the side effects that they have suffered, so I was absolutely shocked to receive abuse when i wrote about my side effects.

It was the last thing that I expected to happen.

Then, I pointed out that another poster has come on today, and is talking about her side effects in a thread .

Side effects are so common when taking mounjaro, we should be supporting and helping each other, when people come on here.

Oh stop acting the victim when your agenda was perfectly clear 🙄

Some absolute lunatics on this thread. I have never seen the likes of it. I have an "agenda" now.

Do you think people go out with an "agenda" to scare people off mounjaro.

E.g. i am work , next thing on my agenda "scare people off mounjaro at 6 o clock".

The only person that I know to get extreme side effects like this got her MJ from Chantelle who is a beautician and has experience with injections and stuff because she does fillers. I’ve had mild side effects, main one being fatigue, but nothing that makes me question is the drug safe.

If I’m honest I’m another one who doesn’t believe this post is genuine, couldn’t sleep all night yet there’s the perfect gap between posts which makes it look like you were actually asleep and why would you take something if you watched your mother suffer so bad? Very unusual and unlucky for both you and your mother to get identical extreme side effects as well. Plus you’ve ignored all the advice given to you so clearly you are not here to look for support and tips from other users. If you really are genuine then maybe you need to seek medical advice and then you can report your symptoms through the yellow card scheme. I also wouldn’t be waiting to see if symptoms ease off before you decide to continue taking it either after having such an intense reaction.

Boliviabae · 29/06/2025 17:46

Utterly Bizarre. I find it nearly unbelievble that I'm being accused of making up having side effects from mounjaro.

Its so weird, I nearly can't believe it!

Especially when there are SO many threads on here from people saying they have had the same side effects. Even on this thread so many posters have said that they have had exactlty the same side effects as me.

It' not unusual for me and my mother to get the same side effects, seeing as about seven people on this thread have posted that they have also had the same side effects. Severe nausea is a very common side effect.

I didn't "watch" my mother suffer.

You assumed something without asking. I don't even live in the same country as my mother.
She spoke to me on the phone about it, she said she stopped taking it as it made her sick.
That didnt stop me taking it, why would it, she is 30 years older than me, and medication affects individual people differently in ways.

@Boliviabae

I had a very strong reaction to the medication too so now i do off label clicking.

I’ve done extensive research as I have health anxiety and decided if managed well with scrupulous hygiene it will be safe.

it means I can control the side effects.

I do a jab every four days as this is the way my blood levels are the most constant. I don’t get the big influx of medication that’s makes me poorly and I monitor my blood levels in an app designed for Mounjaro.

I started off naively on the 2.5mg thinking it would be a good introduction. Was nauseous, vomiting and no appetite and just felt poorly. Then I did the 4th injection at 3.75mg to prepare for the 5mg pen and oh my goodness I was so ill. So I did extensive research and I decided to dial it down by counting clicks. I take 1.5mg every four days which equates to about 2.6mg a week with no nasty bumps.

I’m down 36lbs. So it’s a slower journey but still losing weight. I should be at the end by next February.

Well I got mine from Voy.

Some people died from intracranial hemorrhage after COVID jabs. I didn't even get a sore arm.

How is it unbelievable that some people can take the correct dosage of a legitimately obtained medication and be really ill with it whilst others are fine?

Ugh the stomach pain is back again.

Hot water bottle, rest, sipping water and ginger biscuits if you get nausea. That’s what I’m doing. Call 111 if the pains become intense and last ages, I had to call them last night because I threw up my other medication.

I’m not cliquey, nor am I so pro MJ that I’m happy to argue back, nor do I think I’m particularly nasty!

I don’t give a flying fuck whether people take MJ or not and I certainly don’t give a flying fuck about people’s thoughts about me taking it, however when an agenda is so blatant I am not just going to let it slide

Your posts are so weird, it is honestly very worrying.

Do you think that everyone on this forum that posts about their side effects, are making them up because they have an agenda to stop people from taking mounjaro?

That is delusional thought for you to have

Today's lesson: hyperbole, amateur dramatics and loaded statements such as 'what is this medication doing to our body?' will have people doubting your authenticity. Accusing people who challenge you of abuse will make it even worse.

Side effects threads are common and welcome here, I've never seen a single one go this way. The only differing factor - you and your language.
