It’s a pain when this happens isn’t it? Hope it’s better for you this week.

It is but I am not surprised given what I ate, but at least it wasn't a gain!

fourquenelles · 21/07/2025 09:19

Morning lovelies. I am still here soldering on losing about a pound a week so down to 13st 6 lbs now from 17st 10lbs when I started the jabs (and 18st 6lbs at my heaviest). I need to acknowledge that I have shrunk in my old age so my BMI is higher than I am recording - no longer 5'4" more like 5'2.5" gah!) I am at a music festival this weekend so its going to be interesting to see how much more agile I am this year than last getting up off the airbed for that 3am wee!

Love to read all your updates and sending good thoughts and hugs to those who need them.

Onward and downward!

Hi all,
I know this has probably been done to death but I have a question about syringes (for the golden dose). When you buy them, what is the capacity on the barrel? 20? And does the label say 1ml?
So when you inject, if you fill that syringe, how many mg of liquid is that?

Mine are 1ml and I believe the standard dose is 0.6ml. That's what I usually measure out, sometimes it might go slightly over.

Thanks

Letshavetea1 · 22/07/2025 07:08

Morning all. We arrived back from our holiday in Italy last night. We had the most amazing time. Unfortunately, the scales say I’ve put on 3lb. I did eat and drink some things that I wouldn’t normally have and certainly ate bigger quantities.
I’ll be back on it today! Time for me to catch up on all your news as well.

lapuf · 22/07/2025 20:19

that’s one heck of a transformation Shock

Letshavetea1 · 22/07/2025 20:35

@HansHolbein well done! You must be so pleased.

Histoscientist · 22/07/2025 21:15

What a transformational 9 months 👏 well done and pat yourself on the back, you look amazing ♥️👸

TheChosenTwo · 22/07/2025 22:35

Wow @HansHolbein - absolutely incredible! What a transformation 🥳🥳

@Histoscientist i am pretty active, always have been though and wanted to ensure I continued on MJ so I didn’t lose muscle mass and turn completely wobbly!
I swim a mile 3 times a week, sometimes 4 if I can fit it in, reformer Pilates twice a week and try and get in a gym session once or twice a week. Also have a spin bike next to my desk at home so if I’m having a lull at work I can jump on that and do a quick spin class.
Also the swim is seasonal, I swim at an outdoor lake which is open for more sessions during the summer months. During the winter I only get there once a week and I up the spins.

I have 3dc but they are now 2 adults and 1 teen and I have so much more time to myself than when they were younger. I wfh a few days a week which gives me more flexibility and when I’m in the office I’m home by 5. Also the teen joins me for a swim sometimes and we do the gym stuff together which makes me feel less guilty!!

HansHolbein · 22/07/2025 23:48

Thank you all so much. Before I started losing the weight, I didn't really feel that big. Looking back now, I was clearly very delusional. I wore lots of baggy back clothes and it was easy to hide. The change is marvellous. Like I've said before, just to be free is liberating. Walking down the street and blending in. I will probably ask for that photo to be deleted tomorrow, the internet is just too small!

@WildOneWalker Thank you so much. I'm glad you are feeling better. You have been through a lot. I'm 5ft 4.5in. I'm sure I was 5foot 5in at the start! I've had more comments today about looking too thin; not sure if that is the truth or people are just used to seeing me big. One more 15mg to go and then I will be looking forward to 12.5! I've heard so many people raving about pilates. What kind of difference has it made for you? Do you think I could try a YouTube video?

@igivein 3lbs, great loss and a new weight category! Really happy for you. Lovely.

@Histoscientist Sounds like a lovely productive week! What colour is the kitchen? I haven't counted calories since I started, basically because I haven't needed to. Before, when I used to count like mad, it was because I had to adhere to a strict deficit; MJ just makes it easy. However, I am tempted to track in the coming days just to see what I am having. All I eat is fish, vegetables, fruit, bit of meat, cheese, nuts, and greek yogurt. I drink a shit load of water, one cup of tea a day and no alcohol. I don't eat anything processed at all. Not on purpose, I just don't have the feeling for it. Problem with those foods is that they are quite low in calories and it's hard to volume eat them. I might just add it all up to see where I am at. Very good point about spacing it out for longer. I have been a stickler for the rules on MJ but 15mg has been kicking my arse the past couple of weeks. I really struggle for 2 days after the jab. So good about your blood sugar symptoms going down - this really is a wonder drug. No specific exercise for me. I've always been rather lazy. I do have an active job but that isn't really enough. There is an almost vertical hill near my house that I might attempt to walk up and down every day... I need some butt back! I tried to do some squats but my knee kept clicking, which gave me the heebie-jeebies!

@DeltaAlphaDelta79 Oh, I LOVE milkshakes! Especially banana Mc'Donalds yum. 15mg is so weird!

@fourquenelles Slow and steady - well done. Have an amazing time this weekend! I think the weather is going to be nice for you. What are you going to wear? I was fuming when I found out I had shrunk, just like you, BMI went up!

@Letshavetea1 Fuck the scales, holiday sounds wonderful! It will come off in no time. I'm sure Italy was just divine; how hot is it out there now? We went a few years ago in July and oh. my. gosh. It was ROASTING!

@TheChosenTwo Your exercise regime puts me to absolute shame! What a woman you are!

Nothing else to report from me. Need to focus on adding calories, I think. Also, someone needs to ban my arse from Vinted. Parcels arriving left, right, and centre. It's like Piccadilly Circus. I used to buy so much shit from Amazon, they probably think I am dead.

@recklessgran Hope all is okay with you.

@Fizzleawayyy1 Hope you're having an amazing time at Disney.

Night all x

@HansHolbein Italy was utterly wonderful. It was around 31 to 32 degress by the afternoon! We went for a rock festival - marvellous! I know you’re right and I’m already a pound down today. I expect it’ll readjust over the next week or two.

Re your suppression I wonder if 15mg is just too much for you now at the weight you’re at? I don’t want to give medical advice - so is it worth asking your provider who may suggest spacing doses or using your current pens to give smaller amounts?

Re your diet, I find the Zoe advice on nutrition is amazingly good alongside MJ. The advice is fab regarding all the essential food groups for nutrition. You might need to add pulses, EVOO, seeds and good carbs eg some grains to your diet.

I have a vinted habit too. Since back from holiday two dresses are on the way.

Re the knee - be careful. I had a meniscus tear and I’m so careful now. You could start with some flexibility exercises and progress to squats. Exercise bands are fantastic as they’re gentle. I had a PT for two years - he was fab, but he moved away. Thinking of finding another one.

TheChosenTwo · 23/07/2025 08:02

I keep looking at my heaviest photos and now photos in disbelief, just 9 short months ago I looked so different. I also didn’t think I was as big as I was, strong denial but genuinely i also wasn’t unhappy with my appearance despite knowing I definitely could have done with shifting a bit of weight.
I’d share the photos but I did underwear shots for my MJ application and have been submitting new ones in underwear ever since, I didn’t realise for ages until someone mentioned on here that tight fitting clothes would have been adequate 😂 Anyway, I’m actually really glad I have underwear ones, I can really see the way my body has changed when I compare photos from me just before I started taking it to now. But I won’t be sharing the pics, don’t worry!!

Wow - incredible and wonderful and amazing and awesome and congratulations 🙌

WildOneWalker · 23/07/2025 09:28

@TheChosenTwo your exercise routine is incredible !! @Letshavetea1 i second you in the Zoe info - brilliant nutritional and all round health advice. Seeds, nuts, pulses all good for the gut and brain! To answer the question on Pilates - it’s given me strength, flexibility and balance. Once you’ve found a good teacher it really does help to strengthen through body weight resistance as well as use of exercise bands and small weights. I get a lot of anatomy advice as well - I do have a great teacher. I’ve been to some classes that are more like a pump or exercise class. Good Pilates is incredibly precise, focused on particular muscle groups in a way which does not cause injury which is why I love it. After a breast reconstruction operation which involved taking muscle from my stomach to use for my new boob !… long story - my surgeon recommended Pilates as the best exercise for core strength.
Thats what got me started. I’m far from the strongest but huge improvements for me.

WildOneWalker · 23/07/2025 11:16

Bought myself the cheapest Renpho scales and I wish I’d done this at the beginning of my journey as I’m thrilled with where I find myself now! Would have been great to see how ive improved! Dont really know what it all means but everything’s green so thats good in my book. My metabolic rate is a 3 years younger than my age so maybe not bad?!

Mounjaro October starters - Thread 8!
Letshavetea1 · 24/07/2025 07:36

@WildOneWalker - those stats are fab! I’ve got Renpho scales, but haven’t properly set them up to see all the details yet. Probably a bit worried about what I might see!

TheChosenTwo · 24/07/2025 10:24

@WildOneWalker great stats, very impressive! Your visceral fat score is fab 🥳
I had some from the very beginning and it has been really satisfying seeing all the reds turn to orange and I think I’m now almost at all green. My subcutaneous fat is about 2% away from being green!
It’s such a brilliant motivational tool even when the weight isn’t changing much. I wasn’t sure how accurate they were but we have some body metric thing at the gym and it shows very similar results so it’s a good enough indicator that things are moving in the right direction for me.

WildOneWalker · 24/07/2025 11:03

Thanks everyone and it really does help to keep you going. Get them set up @Letshavetea1 as you’ll be glad to see things keep improving 👍 and they surely will 🩷

recklessgran · 24/07/2025 12:41

Hi everyone I hope you're all doing O.K. - all those still losing and all you lovely skinnies now in maintenance.
It's with a heavy heart that I have to leave you all I'm afraid. I have been diagnosed with kidney failure and am awaiting a consultant's appointment to discuss next steps. This is probably nothing whatsoever to do with MJ but I have been advised to stop now. It seems that the high protein diet along with lots of pottasium laden salad and veg is extremely bad for someone in my situation! I'm sure you will all understand. I'm grateful for the two stone I've lost over the last 9 months but really I just want to say thank you for all the support, care and friendship I've found on this lovely thread - I've enjoyed every minute of being a part of everyone's journey despite being in the slow losers club but above all I just want to say what a thoroughly lovely bunch you are!
Will try to pop back and update you all when I can. Sending loads of love and skinny vibes to you all. xx
