Welcome to thread 11 to fellow MN weight loss friends old and new!
Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we throw away the tent dresses, have no chub rub and wear ALL the damn shorts as we head towards Summer Holiday Season. 🙌

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones and generally mutually admire our new svelte frames!

I’m on W29 D5 and on my third 7.5mg pen
F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 10st 1.8lbs
GW 9st 13.9 (maybe 9st 7lb if I can)
Total loss so far 51.2 lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🥰

@Invisablepanic mime are spinning too and can now be removed when threatening dh with divorce 😂. Between that and my new sexy knees (actually having defined knees is a lovely thing) I've definitely got the upper hand!

KentishMama · 31/05/2025 09:43

Well, May weight loss was definitely the lowest so far - but luckily I had a 1-pound whoosh yesterday, otherwise it would have been very frustrating.

Weight loss so far:
November (half a month): -3.4 kg
December: -4.7 kg
January: -3.9 kg
February: -2.3 kg
March: -3 kg
April: -2.3 kg
May: -1.6 kg

I thought that would be an interesting way to look at it.

SW 93.1 kg
CW 72.1 kg, BMI 23.8 kg
GW 70-ish?

This week was exhausting. Business travel, and the kind where you fly out on a 6 AM flight on one day, and back at 10 PM the following day. Very very long days and little sleep, and it was about twice as hot as in the UK. My energy is well and truly depleted.

MagnoliaTreePetals · 31/05/2025 09:51

@KentishMama That's a great way to have another perspective on how one is doing. I have to rush off now for an appointment, but when I get back I am going to do a month by month loss list.
I hope you can get lots of rest and feel back to normal soon. Exhaustion always used to have me hunting through the fridge and cupboards, eating everything I laid my eyes on. Much better now with MJ and all the good advice I have found on this thread (Thank you @Mounjaropen ) about changing habits and reactions to stressors.

Greetings from the big fat Greek holiday… And look what came with me in the luggage 😂

View from my lounger in the cliff top room is just magical. Worth the bloody 24hour odyssey to get here which involved planes, trains (thanks to the striking Greek cab drivers) and automobiles. And boats. 🤣

There are scales in my room so I’ll be keeping an eye on my weight throughout the week but not expecting to lose any. My MJ is stored nicely in my minibar ready for Monday. DH and I have settled into a nice compromise routine of gym (after coffee and the papers), a late breakfast (more of a brunch really) then go to dinner early-ish so that neither of us feels overly stuffed or hungry.

Tomorrow is a rest day with massages in the fancy spa which is built into the side of the cliff and has a mineral pool 😍

it’s lovely to feel thinner - I don’t care about my wrinkly tummy or inner thighs and my bargain Tu Sainsbury’s swimsuit looks pretty good. 😉

Keep going everyone! 💪💪

Has anyone had to size jewellery down? My engagement ring is doing my head in spinning around. I’d rather put a little tab on the back of it than actually resize it, but want something comfortable.

Bizarrely my fingers never get fat. I did inherit my lovely Dad’s hands God rest his soul 🥰

I bought a very thin stacking ring in a small size because my rings were so loose. I was particularly afraid I’d lose them in the sea - DH lost his original wedding ring when swimming twice, the first time in a pool and we found it, the second time he was in an outdoor pool on holiday, threw a ball and his ring came off and sailed over the fence into a lot of bushes. We didn’t find it that time. So far my stacking ring is working admirably to hold my rings on, and it’s so thin it’s not particularly noticeable.

What beautiful nails you have! 😍

I’m 53kg down, about 116lbs. Only 18kg of those on mj.
Realising I’m a whole skinny person down is bonkers to me.

Hope the holiday is being suitably delightful

Just terrific. Well done you 👏👏👏💪💪💪

I also need to lose one more Guinea pig to get there 😂

@jay55 that's fantastic, you must be pleased!

I was just wondering about jewellery recently, my wedding rings aren't close to falling off but they are starting to spin. My engagement ring was actually an upgrade for our 10th anniversary (partly due to having more funds and partly because my original was going to cut off my circulation!) and I don't want to go back to a smaller diamond. Vain, I know. I don't think I would get mine resized until I've been at goal and maintained for a while though.

Just a half pound off this weigh in for me but after last week's 4.5 that's still 5lbs down in a fortnight which I'm more than happy with.

What a fabulous loss! Well done! Second hand diamonds are always a great bet from a reputable jewelle?. Diamonds are never worth what you pay for them when you come to sell sadly. Or shop in Dubai? It’s worth the flight cost and you get a holiday with guaranteed sunshine 😉 - every piece I’ve ever bought there has been valued at 3x what I paid for it when I’ve got home. The gold and diamond souk is a visual sensory overload in a good way. 🥰

Had a few days away and the booze calories are definitely to blame for my measly 0.0.2lb weight loss, however my scales now have my metabolic age as only 3 years older than my actual one as a result! Hopefully it'll counteract the age my skin has put on by not taking sun tan lotion out for a sea trip. I'm a little lighter, a lot redder and will need to do penance for the booze... but that can wait until Monday!

Well any loss during a holiday is a bonus on my book! Congratulations! 🙌

Fab loss tho! 💪

Time to check-in with a weekly stats update:

W29 D1
15mg dose (first one at max level)
SW 16st 4lbs
CW 11st 13.4lbs
GW 10st(ish)
Total loss 4st 4.6lbs (I think I may have reached an elephant penis milestone there!)

The smallest I have ever been in my adult life was 11st 8lbs back in 2016. That's the next mini milestone to aim for. And it seems doable.

I also got a 6 month review email check-in from MedExpress. And had to send them updated photos. Just an FYI for anyone using them coming up to a similar time frame.

I also had to do a six month review with MedExpress, and it was a really poor experience.

I sent them a picture wearing leggings and a tight t-shirt, as requested.
They asked for another picture, from the side.
Then they asked for pictures in lighter colour clothing. And then said those pictures also didn't meet their requirements. So in response, I sent them the first picture (leggings, t-shirt) again, and this time it was fine, apparently. 48 hours of sending pictures, one after another...

Honestly, I don't know what they're looking for on these pictures. I have a healthy BMI now, so no need to verify that I'm overweight enough to be prescribed MJ?!

Pumpkinforever · 31/05/2025 14:39

@Mounjaropen did you go all in with the Pvolve kit? I really can’t be bothered to join a gym and go to classes. I thought I might once I lost a few stone but still not enamoured with the idea of going to the gym. Still doing YouTube stuff with CJfitness squad but I do need some gear to tone up with.

Mounjaropen · 31/05/2025 15:45

I went ALL in 😂 I bought the whole kit from Healf which included a year’s subscription and insisted they price matched the American Black Friday offers.which they did. From memory I paid £575 including the subscription which I think continued at around £15pcm after this coming November. The only things I haven’t really used from the kit are the massage balls and foam roller.

I have so far completed 123 classes since last November. I’ve never stuck with anything like this before but my mobility has improved by a staggering amount. My body shape has changed significantly and I have no aches and pains. Obviously weight loss also helps with this. I love it because there is always a class I could do that fits in with the time I have available. I started with the instructional bundle calendar specific to the transformation kit which ensured I knew how to use it properly. Then I did the strength redefined program and then monthly calendars until I noticed the specific GLP-1 programme which was the game changer in terms of my progression on my muscle mass %

And all because Jennifer Anniston posted about it and I thought ‘I need her arms’ 😂

My mum had to take multiple pics when she first tried with them a couple of weeks after me; I even had to go round there and take some for her before she was approved.
I don't know if it's a new thing with the six month check-up. I can't help thinking that asking for a second pic six months in would help confirm that the person they prescribed the medication to is in fact the person taking it, especially if they now look slimmer. After the referral code tightening they did a few months back I'm assuming they're possibly tightening up procedures due to some of the negative press, otherwise why haven't they been asking every time I request a new prescription like I am now aware some other providers do?

I got quite a shock this morning, I was getting dressed and happened to glance in the mirror while I had my arms in the air. I noticed 2 lumps at the bottom of my chest. Panic! what the hell are they???
I reached for my glasses to take a closer look and had a feel. RIBS!!! I can actually see and feel my lowest ribs. First time for God-knows how many decades.

Can't wait to see what else emerges.....

I had a hell of a shock when I felt this massive lump at the bottom of my spine... it was my tailbone (still think it's creepy 😂). Glad I didn't rush straight to a&e to demand an xray

Hi all! Couple of victories today! Non scale and scale….

Weighed first thing, as usual, and I’ve finally dropped under 12st (11st 12.5lb to be precise!) And just half a pound away from my six stone loss.

AND if that wasn’t enough - picked up a £3 top from Tesco they only had in a size 10… and it’s fits! It’s stretchy but not stretched..

And I bought a dress. I don’t do dresses usually but I really liked it.

Goodgriefisitginfizzoclock · 31/05/2025 20:05

Evening skinny Minnie’s !
Im going to start in the gym now I’ve lost some weight, I’ve been swimming there but not ventured into the Lycra land of the gym, anyway, I’ve booked for a PT to ring me to book in some sessions, I am really clueless gym wise and really can’t afford to injure myself,so I thought better get some kit, I was tempted to get some leggings etc out of Tesco but I remember someone saying about get compression leggings so the wobble bits are more ‘contained’ I rarely treat my self ( if you exclude the monthly MJ bill ) so I thought I’m going to Sweaty Betty, went in asked for help said I didn’t even really know what size I am, I still can’t quite believe I’m not the 16-18 I was (I’m also short) any way I was a medium, I mean what the hell, really a medium ! So I’m definitely in the all the gear no idea camp!

I had to send updated photos too. I compared the current photo with the original photo and nearly died looking at the state of myself last November.

I've lost about 9lbs in May and am now back in the 11s - 10lbs to go until I'm back into a healthy BMI. And I'm back into most of my clothes, only the size 10 trousers left, although if I do make it back into them then every single other thing in the wardrobe will be too big!

I'm off on holiday in 20 days, would love a few more pounds by then.
