Welcome to thread 11 to fellow MN weight loss friends old and new!
Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we throw away the tent dresses, have no chub rub and wear ALL the damn shorts as we head towards Summer Holiday Season. 🙌

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones and generally mutually admire our new svelte frames!

I’m on W29 D5 and on my third 7.5mg pen
F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 10st 1.8lbs
GW 9st 13.9 (maybe 9st 7lb if I can)
Total loss so far 51.2 lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🥰

Hurrah @StarShapedWindow getting to your goal weight is absolutely fantastic. You must be so happy. Well done for persisting and not giving up during the stalls. So glad you are not going anywhere!

Thank you!

🥳 for a bmi of 25! Hope you feel better today. I’d stick on 7.5mg personally.

How many is ‘a few’ squares of Lindt? They are quite large squares…?😂 Could you swap out one square for a mejool date maybe? Is it dark chocolate? Because you know that’s much better for you than milk chocolate. If it’s milk, your rational brain knows the product is designed to make you less satisfied so you want more…don’t let it trap you 💪

I swapped for Montezuma dark months ago and I still have bars of them in the drawers as I’ve had no interest/ a square here or there!

But last week was weird, afternoon choc cravings certainly back! Let’s see how this week goes…

Yes they were quite large squares, used to easily have 50g of Lindt as an afternoon snack back in the day, almost every day!

Mounjaropen · 30/06/2025 06:56

I haven’t but heard it’s very good.

Sorry to smash your 🌹flavoured food dreams 😂

Read it, it’s insane. Shows how Big Food makes every effort to get babies hooked from day 1 on earth, and how far the food lobby really goes.

All these beliefs most people take as facts, eg ‘eat less, move more, UPFs are not to blame’ come from Big Food. At this point I feel like everyone’s brain and body is effectively controlled by Nestle 🤣🧠

Totally not in the spirit of the thread but I'm THRILLED to find someone else who likes rose flavoured things. Rose petal jam, rose chocolate that tastes like Turkish delight......

Soooo good right? Rose jam is so hard to find, so when I travel I pick some up… also Jude’s now have rose flavoured ice cream.

Maybe I’ll invent my own version of rose diet, which means unlimited treats, as long as rose flavoured! Considering how hard they are to get, sweet treats will be a quarterly occurrence!

Any less sugary rose flavoured foods out there?

Cantbesure · 01/07/2025 11:07

Thanks @Mounjaropen I was worried I would look like I was jumping on the pancreatitis bandwagon as it has been in the press this week. But my pains were very fitting with the symptoms. The surgeon I saw yesterday seemed to have a good understanding of MJ and pancreatitis and said I wasn’t displaying any markers he had been concerned about in other patients on MJ. But nevertheless I could have a mild case without an infection needing antibiotics present. Annoyingly my pain was non existent whilst in hospital but is having a flare up right now. Frustrating!

the woman next to me was also being checked for pancreatitis and gallstones. I didn’t get to ask her if she was on MJ. I had my gallbladder out 25 years ago so I know it’s not gallstones causing my issues.

Fortnum and Mason always sell Rose jam, it has whole petals in it!

Oceangrey · 01/07/2025 15:28

Hooray, scales finally moved south of 11st at last.
So stats are:
I'm 5'3
SW 13st 3lb
CW 10st 12lb

GW... maybe around 10st which would be BMI 24.8. That's about the least I've weighed as an adult and it was for about a week so I'm not thinking further than that.

Is anyone actually managing to exercise in this heat? I sat in the sun for a couple of hours at my kids sports day and had to lie down afterwards! Not getting a lot of work done.

I do love a little shop at F&M - top tip after about 5pm everything on the fresh counter like the pork pies/Beef wellingtons etc are massively reduced if they are unsold. Total bargain. If you love cooking, their masterclasses are also great value - I did a beef wellington one with STBDH and we left with the ones we made AND had sat down to enjoy more in the form of a lovely lunch (with mucho wine!) with everyone else who was also learning how to make one. Was fab.

That's a great step downwards @Oceangrey Well done.
I am always ecstatic when I go under a stone level and see a new number.

I did my arm weights and yoga stretches this morning but I cancelled my big afternoon walk. It's too hot and I live at the bottom of the hill, going uphill is normally great exercise, but not in this weather!

Another top tip is that they have a reduced section discretely placed in the back right corner, near the excellent jams. It's a bit hit and miss but I always have a look if I'm in the area.

Now I understand the username @LindtCurves 😂 I love Lidl’s 70% dark chocolate bars. I buy the raspberry and salted caramel ones. A square or 2 is a lovely sweet hit. 69 cals a square.

Going on tomorrow and my bog boden order hasn’t arrived on time. So annoyed.
i have hardly anything that fits now.

Loving all the flavours talk.

Mounjaropen · 01/07/2025 21:04

I’ve had another full body lymphatic drainage massage today plus my second RF facial treatment and my first RF treatment on my melted candle tummy. 🤞 Will report back. Next time I’m also doing my inner thighs.

OP posts:
Cantbesure · 01/07/2025 21:11

Def need an update on the RF treatment. My stomach is bad and I find myself idly browsing cosmetic surgery pages…

TeenLifeMum · 01/07/2025 21:28

Current focus is on upping my activity and dh is supporting (after my mini rant - his hobbies have really picked up and I’m stuck home in the evenings, but that’s going to change)

Sunday we went kayaking and tonight we booked a local tennis court and played for an hour. Dc want to join us next week (except eldest who appears to be allergic to exercise despite being a 5’9” size 6). Off to see Alanis Morissette tomorrow so I’ll be dancing for exercise.

My friend has had her legs, arms and tummy done after losing more than 12 stone. She looks fab but it is not for the faint hearted!
