Welcome to thread 11 to fellow MN weight loss friends old and new!
Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we throw away the tent dresses, have no chub rub and wear ALL the damn shorts as we head towards Summer Holiday Season. 🙌

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones and generally mutually admire our new svelte frames!

I’m on W29 D5 and on my third 7.5mg pen
F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 10st 1.8lbs
GW 9st 13.9 (maybe 9st 7lb if I can)
Total loss so far 51.2 lbs

We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.

Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🥰

Just had my call with Oushk. I am accepted on their Conti plan and I need to contact them once I get to my goal weight which is 9st 7. I have just ordered another 7.5mg from MedExpress as someone used my referral code so it seemed a bit churlish not to use it. I have one dose left in my current pen so I have 5 weeks to try and get there if I can.

Goals for this month: try and get to 2lbs per week loss every week, up protein intake to 1.5g per kg of bodyweight, Try RF tightening on my stomach and thighs.

On a fish kick this week after eating almost exclusively fish for the past 10 days..Tuna yesterday, salmon today with samphire, sea bass with some lemon and ginger tomorrow and sea bream on Wednesday...also keen to recreate the most amazing courgette salad I ate on holiday which was peppered with citrus slices, herbs and topped with crumbled white stilton which was infused with mango and ginger was the most delicious salad I have ever eaten....

What is the Conti plan? @Mounjaropen What does it entail?

I have another 2 stone to go before maintenance. Currently on 7.5mg and thinking maybe move to 10mg during the final stone.

I'm awaiting the detail but explained here:

https://www.oushkpharmacy.com/maintenance

The conti plan allows me to continue to order 7.5mg then taper down if I wish from 7.5mg then move onto the flexi plan which for £15pcm keeps you in their system as a patient every month - so if you have come off MJ but feel like you need some help you don't have to start all over again....

I'd definitely book a call with Oushk once you are at about a stone to go. Or forward book one now as they are very booked up. It costs a fiver.

@jay55 the self righteousness about the ‘golden’ dose makes me laugh. What do they think is in it??

MyRootinTootinBaby · 09/06/2025 17:53

Mounjaropen · 09/06/2025 11:15

I still have a tummy roll and a post-baby tummy apron, so I am not likely to have this issue for quite some time! Can you grab any rolls? Maybe on your bum cheek or inner arm?

Oh I can still definitely grab rolls, but my skin is all crepey and melty… it’s loose rather than plumped lol

Me too. The melty candle description fits the top of my thighs perfectly and when I sit there's a definite marshmallow to my tummy. I'm trying to focus on the good stuff though. I can feel bones I haven't in about a decade and my clothes look great. I'm so pleased with my body and I've spent too much time feeling fat. I'm embracing the new me and wearing that fecking bikini!

DarkForces · 09/06/2025 18:41

Good reminder about the maintenance call @Mounjaropen. I've booked mine for Sept now. You can change up to 4 hours before for free with oushk and I'd like to go to every other month then see about dropping down doses once I'm at target.

I have my maintenance call booked with Oushk for a few weeks time. Can I ask what it involved? Do you weigh yourself in front of them, or undress? How long did it take? Thanks

Cantbesure · 09/06/2025 19:21

No weighing or undressing @memphismayhem although they are also doing weight verification calls which you can do as part of your maintenance call. And for that you need photo id and to weigh yourself (clothed). The maintenance call is a chat about what you want to do once you have reached goal. For me it was the taper plan, I want to come down the doses gradually and hopefully eventually off MJ. You get 4 months worth of codes and then send an email to request more codes once you have used them. It’s very flexible and I could order the same or a higher dose if I wanted. I would probably just write a note on my consultation form to explain why.

September is a good shout. I will go for end of September with a view to moving it to October if I have to.

Pumpkinforever · 09/06/2025 20:25

Booked in hope I will be ready for maintenance by then

DD called to ask if I had tried on the Sweaty Betty active leggings she got me at Christmas size large. Well, dear readers, they fit! I didn’t have to breathe in or pull them up using the wiggle jiggle technique pausing for a rest half way.

Cantbesure · 09/06/2025 20:26

*3 months not 4. It appears I still have fat fingers!! 😂

KentishMama · 09/06/2025 21:37

Hello everyone!

Apologies for the radio silence. I managed to smash my phone... Dropped it on a tiled floor. An expensive mistake, and then I had to wait for a replacement and set it up etc etc.

SW 100 kg almost exactly 1 year ago
SW Mounjaro 93.1 kg
CW 71.2 kg
BMI 23.5
GW something just under 70 kg...

I just realised that I could hit the 30 kg weight loss mark within the next 2-3 weeks. That's apparently the same as a sack of cement. I would definitely like to get there by the time I see my oncologist (who talked me into all of this last summer) on 7 July. What a difference a year makes!

Oceangrey · 09/06/2025 23:37

Wow, incredible progress!

Cantbesure · 10/06/2025 06:06

That’s amazing @KentishMama

Amazing! Well done! Such an achievement in a year, you are so right!

I’m going away for a week in July to a place we went to last September, when I was 3+ stone heavier than I am now. It’s kind of hard to believe really!

Hope it all goes well with the oncologist.

evilharpy · 10/06/2025 07:29

@KentishMama I have not had caffeine yet amd initially read your post as if you had lost 100kg. Now reread and realised that I am a dumbass but 30kg is still a totally amazing achievement so congrats for you and coffee asap for me!!

TeenLifeMum · 10/06/2025 08:14

After a couple of months I’ve not stepped on the scales for over a week, possibly two. Trying to get back to better eating habits despite the stresses life keeps throwing. Anyway, 3lbs down, I’m 10st 3lbs. I’m not expecting to go under 10 - I don’t want to lose my curves bum/boobs. I remember in my 20s 10st 3 was my top end weight though where I’d skip a meal one day and lose 2lbs when I hit the 10st 3 mark. Now it’s a weight I’m happy with. Whoop whoop.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 10/06/2025 08:44

Morning all! Some amazing losses on here since I last looked - well done @PinkArt and everyone else!

I’ve been having a bit of a rocky time post holiday - was supposed to jab on Sun, having skipped a dose while on holiday, but I developed labyrinthitis on Sat. I think it was self-inflicted - got really drunk with friends on Fri, woke up on Sat and the room started spinning. I was so hungover I thought it was that, but the dizziness carried on all weekend and I rang the dr yesterday and now I have travel sickness pills. I finally jabbed this morning and just hoping it doesn’t make the labyrinthitis worse.

Caplin · 10/06/2025 10:11

Morning all, I lost just over another pound last week, so back to losing again, albeit more slowly which is fine, better than the month long plateau I had!

I’ve been wondering about collagen and I know lots of you are taking it. Does it work? Has anyone tried Nutrition Geeks Glow up powder? Does it actually taste of nothing? Are capsules better?

Next thing on the list is swimwear and I am toying with a (tummy control) bikini. I like some of the Cupshe designs but my bum is still verging on an 18 in certain brands, so I’m worried about whether they will fit as I think they only go up to 16.

I also looked at Bloomchic, and whilst my boobs are a 34F, they aren’t actually that big and all the pictures show ladies with generous boobs.

Any reviews welcome!

Invisablepanic · 10/06/2025 10:21

@TooExtraImmatureCheddar that sounds awful, hopefully the tablets will kick in for you soon.

evilharpy · 10/06/2025 11:01

@TooExtraImmatureCheddar my dad used to get attacks of labyrinthitis, it was really awful, absolutely knocked him for six. Hope the tablets quickly.

I just had a consultation yesterday for exactly this plan. Oushk are just fabulous. And I got an appointment the next day!

The very lovely lady also told me that if there is someone who needs to swap to their maintenance plan quickly for whatever reason, then they will hold a few appointments in reserve.

I did mine yesterday - the video link wouldn't work, so she called me. I need to spend photos of before and after (e.g. now) and record of my last three pens. It was super easy and the woman was super nice. I'm so happy about it, because I have been feeling anxious about coming off completely and putting it all back on!
