Where are all the Wegovy folks?

It seems to be very Mounjuro heavy on this board?

Would love to hear from those on Wegovy. How have you found it? How much have you lost?

I'm starting on Monday (getting my first month's supply Monday afternoon!)

Here i am!
Started 14 st 3 pds November 23, now 10 st 9. Have been weaning down from 2.5ml, now on week 3 of 0.5, then 4 weeks of 0.25 then coming off.
The food noise has returned, but I'm still eating smaller portions and my weight has stabilised.
Trying to up exercise to support it.

Crunchymum · 03/02/2025 19:17

What dose did you start on @Mookie81
Congratulations on your weightloss. Amazing job!!

My starting dose is 0.25ml? I assume I have to work up?

Good luck @craigth162

I have a starting weight of 13st 3lbs and want to get to 10st (but ultimately 9st). I'm only 5ft 1in so 9st is a healthy weight but I'd be thrilled to ever see 10st.

Hope it all goes well for you!!

Had a normal lunch and am feeling very hungry for dinner. Wasn't expecting to immediately have zero appetite but am hoping it does something.

Yep I'm the same. It's been 5 hrs surely should see a difference lol.

I'm 5ft 4. Would ideally like 9.5 stone but 10 would be within healthy weight. Tbh it's my stomach and massive boob's I need a reduction in. My back is done and have no core strength. Got a disabled young child I need to be able to look after. Wheelchairs etc are heavy

It’s great using all these success stories. I can’t wait to be rid of the constant food noise. It’s quite debilitating at times and I’m so envious of people who naturally don’t have this.

I’m going through an online pharmacy because it’s so much cheaper (for exactly the same product), but they rejected my picture. I think because I was wearing a non tight fitting jumper (although it wasn’t exactly baggy). Just uploaded another one, fingers crossed this one’s accepted. I’m dying to start now!

Who are you buying from? My first photo was rejected too. Not sure why. Second accepted no bother. I used medexpress

Everyone follows the same dose pattern on wegovy starting at 0.25 - there’s a simple chart here

Let me know when you start to feel "anything" 😂

I too have a disabled youngster. She's not too affected mobility wise but life is challenging and DC3 will never live independently and will always need me (such pressure!! But ironically has never been enough to get me to fully take stock of my eating / weight)

Yeah I get it. Single parent here so no one else to look after him which he too will need for life. And yet I still don't look after myself properly

Medexpress too. They emailed today to say there’s a delay in photo approval due to high demand. Do you remember how roughly it took for yours to be approved and sent out?

Thank you (and I'm actually getting my prescription from Superdrug so not sure how I missed this?)

I know it went up incrementally but just wasn't sure how much and at what point. This is very helpful.

Does the cost always remain the same?

I ordered 25th jan and royal mail tried to deliver yesterday but I wasn't in so received today.

Crunchymum · 03/02/2025 19:57

I also had a question about moving prescribers. Superdrug have been faultless but they are expensive

(I sent all my info in at 8am on Saturday and the prescription was ready for me before 5pm the same day - although I wasn't able to collect it until today)

I'm wondering if I should continue to pay a premium for good service?

I'll make a decision when I'm due to order next dose in 3 weeks.

I've also got a disabled child, her wheelchair buggy weighs 15kg without her in it. I still have to carry her quite a lot, so I really need to be fitter than I am currently.

CurlsLDN · 03/02/2025 20:05

No I’ve found the cost increases as the dose increases. But there’s no need to stick to one prescriber, when it’s time to buy shop around and compare prices. I’ve used zava and medexpress, both have been quick and good service.
there are loads of discount and referral codes floating round the internet so always look for one of those before purchasing!
(obvs make sure you are satisfied it is a reputable site)

CurlsLDN · 03/02/2025 20:07

Ps sounds like you have your hands full so an online pharmacy that delivers the pen to your home rather than having to go and collect it might be easier for you anyway!

WeGoSlow · 03/02/2025 20:07

I'd stick with your provider.

I order from Boots which is expensive but it's worth it for the convenience of easy collection.

I previously used Quick Meds and Asda but the deliveries were not always reliable and caused me a lot of stress about the ice packs melting if not delivered on time and the Wegovy spoiling.

NoKnickerElastic · 03/02/2025 20:29

Has anyone else suffered horrendous sulphur burps? Day 2 after injection my burps smell like rotten bins. Pretty grim but my only side effect fortunately.

Wegovy2025 · 03/02/2025 20:59

Does anyone know if you have to pay more for the next dose up? I’ve just gone with medexpress and they say no price rises but at only £110 a month or something, surely this must be wrong?

Price of next dose is £149. Goes all way up to £249. Took a screenshot but wont let me attach.

Superdrug's maintenance dose (so the dose from week 17 onwards) is £295. Gulp!!

I am going to hang fire and see where I'm at when I need to order the next pen.

I definitely need to move at some point as £300 is just too expensive 😫 but I've got time to decide. Of course you spend the longest amount of time on the most expensive dose.

So far, nothing to report. Not feeling hungry but I never do first thing. I always eat breakfast about 11.

I switched after 6 months on wegovy as didn't get great results.

Mounjuaro was amazing though and the weight just fell off.

Happy to answer any questions on Wegovy though.

I have a tip on cost, if you do switch go to MedExpress and they'll give you a £40 off code. Share it on here with a bit of info on how it's going rather than just 'here's my code' I only paid for the first few months then had so much credit the last 8 months were free due to so many using my code.

Also suppression started quickly for me on Wegovy, a couple of days in and the food noise was really disappearing too.

Good luck.

Crunchymum · 04/02/2025 09:23

Thanks for the advice @wite

I assume the code is the reason you stuck it out so long with Wegovy? My question before your second post was actually going to be at what point did you decide it's not effective? 6 months is a lot of time and money.

I'm still quite on the fence about switching at some point on the future but I'm also happy to see if Wegovy does work for me.

Glad to hear it helped with the food noise quickly though. I hope if I can turn that off I can focus in healthy eating and taking less calories without feeling hungry and deprived!

did you have to have a break between the shift over?

FedUpandEatingChocolate · 04/02/2025 11:00

I weighed myself and I've lost 4.5kg in a week - my first week. I don't think it's the wegovy though, I've had an awful sore throat which I'm about to see the GP about. I can't eat much at all! I'm fully expecting to bounce back once I'm over this bug.

Blimey! That is a massive loss.

Hope you feel better soon but I also hope you can build upon your massive loss.
