@KeepUndercover
The ordering timescale is a major pain but I'm hoping pharmacies will be sympathetic, not least to accommodate the many people who've built up stockpiles these last few days. It's easier if you can get down to 2.5 or 5mg and get an agreement to do one month on, one month off or similar (but carry on splitting pens). Oushk do this, and I'm sure others too. I've got an agreement to do 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off as I'm doing 6x2mg injections out of a 2.5 pen.

Moanranger · 20/08/2025 12:42

Anybody else getting FB adverts from pharmacies promoting price drops for WL injections? I am suspicious- I suspect some sort of bait & switch scam (get you on a reduced price, then raise it) A number of pharmacies are promoting this, Juniper, the Independent Pharmacy & others.

Wonkypictureframe · 20/08/2025 14:00

Oushk were happy to agree to me doing month on/month off in maintenance.

KeepUndercover · 21/08/2025 08:57

Bolt's updated prices in the pic (when it appears).

Thanks. I’ve also found Oushk’s and it looks like my 5mg will be broadly affordable for me (I am lucky). Clearly the higher doses are going to be the ones people struggle with though.

KrankyKumquat · 21/08/2025 09:05

@KeepUndercover
Was Bolt a bit more expensive before all this? I'm shocked at how high these prices are, £175 for 2.5mg? Hoping this isn't a sign of what's to come for other smaller pharmacies

KrankyKumquat · 21/08/2025 09:08

@Wonkypictureframe
Have oushk confirmed now? I've only seen the estimate on the first day of the crisis, I think there's a process of negotiating a rebate to still get through?

Wonkypictureframe · 21/08/2025 09:13

I saw a price list via Reddit I think but assume most of these are pending negotiation. I guess they can only go down so the current provisionals are the worse case scenarios?

KrankyKumquat · 21/08/2025 09:15

@Wonkypictureframe
Yes, hopefully! The bolt price is fixed now i think - bit of a shocker! I think i was mentally protecting myself by thinking it won't be as bad as we fear 😪

I paid £160 for my last 10mg. I'm not sure what they were for 2.5, it's saying £144 at the moment but I never ordered low doses with them. They were average for those higher ones though. Bit more expensive than IQ Doctor who I used to use, but they had stock when the last 15mg stock crisis happened so I accepted the extra £20 a month.

Flapearedknave · 21/08/2025 09:22

Think I've pretty much decided I'll go on wegovy for maintenance.

Just need to find somewhere that will take me, if rather not stay with oushk as they seem really expensive. But we'll see!

KrankyKumquat · 21/08/2025 09:28

@Flapearedknave
Yes I'm going to look into it (ie work out the maths as no 5th dose I understand) when everything settles. Oushk dropped Wegovy price immediately but we're still waiting to hear what the maintenance plans will be after 1st Sept - if there's no discount, there's no point in sticking with them as I can see. Just worried about finding somewhere else at bmi20.

If others will offer maintenance, then I agree. No point hanging around with oushk.

Hearing good things about Swift Doctor, Pharmulous, Lotus and The Independent Pharmacy in terms of service - just need to see prices after 1st.

Oh thank you!

I'll keep an eye on them ❤️

KeepUndercover · 21/08/2025 14:09

Once everything has calmed down I'm going to look at all the maintenance prescribers on monj and pick one that looks reasonably priced.

Smallsalt · 21/08/2025 14:29

Help please!
Got these jeans on Vinted. Love the shape. I keep trying to buy the same shape but don't know what to call them .

Quite high waist, patch front pockets , visible big hem, baggy /flare but hang nicer than all my other ones and give a narrow hip look, non stretchy

What cut are they? I can't keep buying jeans😅

Mounjaro February to April 24 starters - Thread 4
KeepUndercover · 21/08/2025 14:35

I would say those were a flared cut @Smallsalt, based on the narrowness of the top. Probably high waisted flared? Have you tried Google Lens to find similar from your photo?

KrankyKumquat · 21/08/2025 14:57

@Smallsalt
God, it's nice to talk about something other than MJ prices!
Have a look at Cider - they've got hundreds of different jeans styles. I've been really impressed by the price and quality. I'm now a bit addicted to barrel-legged jeans, they look ridiculous in the photos on Cider but hang really well on my body shape ie tall and thin (i hope...i may be just deluded). I'm a 58yr old skater girl 😅

Smallsalt · 21/08/2025 14:58

@KeepUndercover I don't know how to do Google lense🫣

I have tried buying flare fit but they seem to be tighter down the thigh before flaring. Which is fine I have lots of jeans that shape , but it's not the same as these !
Baggys are just baggy! These sit soooooo nicely!

KeepUndercover · 21/08/2025 15:00

Maybe have a look at wide leg if flared are too tight on the thigh. You can put your picture in Google lens here and it will search for similar images: https://lens.google/

Oushk were happy to agree to me doing month on/month off in maintenance.

Can I ask what pen you agreed with Oushk, for the month on / month off pattern? Did they insist on 2.5?

Asking because I want to propse this to MedExpress. They previously made me go back to 2.5 starter dose as I accidentally left it too long between orders while titrating down through higher dose pens, so not sure they'd let me do what I want to do (5mg every 2 months) but will ask and give them Oushk's maintenance support example

Wonkypictureframe · 21/08/2025 17:06

I’m on 5mg. I think I order every six weeks though to stay inside the guidelines but they know what I’m doing.

Wonkypictureframe · 22/08/2025 15:22

My three Oushk pens have arrived on time and chilled so have gone straight in the fridge - four 5mg pens in there in total plus one with two doses remaining so I feel secure for a few months now.

Notsuchafattynow · 22/08/2025 19:10

My delivery was unceremoniously dumped by the front door. DPD must have literally slung it out as they drove past. Clearly no idea of the precious cargo inside (3 pens!) And the angst while I've waited for them.

At least I have them now. Phew.
