I had to mute the Oushk page. It got ridiculous with people treating it as customer service and all trying to be the best loser. I’m not surprised it’s been taken down.

We are all in very uncharted territory really. I have never, ever been this thin. I do have more treats now, but it’s in place of something, not in addition.

I am very much aware that MJ does the heavy lifting in the background as @KrankyKumquat mentions above. Between doses and hormones the rush of noise and eat, eat comes flooding in. I won’t go up a dose. I need to learn to live with that. I’m all for the medical solution to weight loss, but I can’t cut everything out. (I am on 10 in maintenance).

Flappy, it’s good to hear from you in this thread. Can you remind me when you started your maintenance and how long you’ve been maintaining? Have you had any issues with ineffectiveness seeing as you’ve reached target (and thus your body might be on preservation mode)? Thank you!☺️

FlappyFish · 26/04/2025 14:51

Hi @Chucklesisters! I hit my original target of 9 stone two back at the end of September 2024, early October. I came off MJ at that point after titration about mid October I think.

I managed six weeks without it… during that time I fell straight back into the cycle I had for years. Fine for two and half weeks then the hormone hell and period. It also coincided with starting HRT. I booked and started maintenance on 2.5 in December.

I’ve increased dose since then. I’ve also really upped exercise. In December I started properly at the gym on top of doing swimming once a week. I’ve also been doing Pilates consistently since September.

I currently weigh just below 9. It’s my happy spot. I can see how much my body has changed with toning. My boobs are non-existent, but I’m having surgery in September once I’ve maintained a lower weight for a year.

My skin has improved a lot in this time too. I don’t have as much under arm sagging and my thighs have improved too. My tummy isn’t too bad. Certainly seeing where others have started for surgery for tummy tucks etc it’s manageable.

I am on the same dose I reached at my highest whilst actively losing. 10. I could go up if I wanted. But then I would be be trying to make myself eat and I need to fuel my body for exercise.

I had fillers to help my face. The weight loss showing there did make me look very skeletor. Those photos are on the old MN MJ group if you want to see how much difference 3ml make. (Or maybe you have ha).

Hope that helps and I love seeing all our old names.

Interesting turn this thread has taken. I am wondering if there is a bit of a metabolic effect? Either that or all my mad exercising has upped my metabolism as it is supposed to do. I have more physical energy now than I have had for years, and I think I am eating more generously. It is difficult to separate new habits from the MJ effect.
i have just returned from shoulder surgery. I had to delay my weekly (5mg) maintenance dose by 2 days. I had to make myself eat in hospital, no appetite at all (maybe due to anesthetics?) but I felt better after I ate. The surgery has been on the cards since before I started MJ, and I must say it was a lot easier manoeuvring my body around a hospital bed weighing 22 kg less.
I will have to be careful now during recuperation as I won’t be getting nearly as much excercise (no gym for awhile). Hopefully new habits are getting engrained.
I don’t envisage coming off MJ

Chucklesisters · 26/04/2025 16:39

Thank you @FlappyFish ! Very interesting to hear your maintenance story since you were such a superresponder to MJ and one of the OG MN-MJ pioneers. And good shout on the fillers - I’m nowhere near that but such an important tip to enhance wherever possible whilst embracing weight loss and its aftermath

Wonkypictureframe · 26/04/2025 16:40

I saw this posted on the Oushk maintenance thread and thought it answered so many questions it might be helpful to share.

Speaking of familiar faces, had anyone heard from Melissa Lou Rocks? I loved reading her posts and comments.

DesparatePragmatist · 26/04/2025 23:46

That's really helpful, thank you Wonkypictureframe. I'm currently doing a bodgy self-adjusted maintenance plan, counting clicks to 3mg on a 5mg pen, and haven't ever moved from MedExpress. I would like to be getting some more active maintenance support tbh, and have wondered about Oushk. I'd like to be a recognised maintainer when pills are available, for eg!

Who are everyone using for supplier? Medexpress have stopped the public teferal codes and only giving £5 off credit for price match now

If you're looking for cheapest go to monj.co.uk and it shows the cheapest for different strengths. Don't think anyone on this thread is changing suppliers currently because we're all in or near maintenance.

Thanks. I do use Monj but if there's a good supplier I'd rather just stick with one going forward

I moved to oushkk after Zava and Medexpress in preparation of maintenance.

Non scale victory........I am wet suit shopping!
Child ones are cheaper so I am trying on my daughter's!
The Age 16 was TOO BIG all over.

My other daughters Age14 in the pics fits lovely but probably a bit short.

Imagine, not only can I get into a wet suit for a young teen, but I look fckin good in my humble opinion😂 despite wetsuits being the least flattering garment ever invented! Even my C-section apron is hiding!

But coming back to our dismorphic thinking, I still think I am hefty despite all evidence to the contrary😳. I mean when I see my daughter in this exact suit, I think she looks pencil slim but me in it, my eyes develop some kind of fat filter!

@IncessantNameChanger ive used Megicine marketplace for my last few orders. £125 + £10 cold pp for lower doses and £135 + £10 for 10mg plus. Found them really easy to use. Had to provide a video of me getting on scales and then showing my weight for first order and they email you every 4 weeks to remind you to order. No auto subscribe which is good.

had a lovely NSV today. Went to try on large tub of clothes I’d put away (10 yrs +) last time I was at this weight and several are already too big. Now have 3 very large vacuum bags to go in loft and have been to Sainsbury’s to splurge on some new stuff.

Also found the ‘you know who’s’ website to be very reasonable - new end of range clothes from a variety of stores. £5 for jeans etc. there’s also a FB page of Roman clothes, often new with tags at reasonable prices.

Femeia · 27/04/2025 22:44

Wow @Smallsaltyou look amazing! And what a great NSV.

My latest NSV is that a size S Uniqlo denim jacket has appeared in the house and no one is entirely sure where it came from (I have 3 dds so there are lots of possibilities). My 21 year old was wearing it this week and I tried it on out of idle curiosity- and it fitted! So it looks like I have a new denim jacket to replace the size 18 one that was too big.

Everdecreasingcircumferences · 28/04/2025 13:40

Hi All
Bit of a funny month for me with Easter hols, visitors plus going away to see family. Definitely gained a bit from eating chocolate and more carb based meals but am back to less than 1kg off my lowest weight to date. BMI is still above 26 so I remain a work in progress. Ordered some semi fitted shirts in a size 14 from Hawes & Curtis and was amazed that most of them fit comfortably (satin ones were too small on the bust), am a small 14 in most shops now although a 12 in trousers in Matalan and Monsoon.
It's my birthday soon and for the first time in almost 25 years I've achieved the thing I promise myself every year - that by my next birthday I'll be slimmer - all thanks to a year on MJ. Going to buy a bikini to celebrate as am off for a spa weekend with friends.
I've been the the gym consistently all month, need to start adding in some cardio as it's all been strength training. Am weaker and less fit than I was when I started my MJ journey so I need to build back up again.
Have reached the point where people are telling me I don't need to lose any more weight but I need to shift at least another stone to get into healthy BMI range. Still, can't get over how different I look now 14 months in.
The comments about supply issues are a bit worrying as I'm on 15mg but if I need to drop down to 10mg I'm sure I'd at least be able to maintain on that amount if not continue to lose.

@Everdecreasingcircumferences and @Smallsalt you both look amazing. Smallsalt your eyes must have a crazy fat filter! So strange how our brains work.

On shortages, I've managed to get 15mg from Bolt so that's good. Had to verify my info with them again but they didn't comment at all that my BMI was now 24.5. l am currently bouncing around the same number, I go down one week and up the next. Bit frustrating but the overall trend is creeping down I think.

Flapearedknave · 28/04/2025 16:41

I've got a 15mg from oushk on the way! They accepted no problem!

You both look fantastic @Everdecreasingcircumferences and @Smallsalt

I am living the warmer weather and being able to wear such nice clothes rather than hiding in black/navy.

I've got my MRI results back, and I do have several brain lesions and a cervical spine one at C4. T cervical is likely what's been causing my symptoms. Have a neurology appointment on weds, and so it's likely I'll be diagnosed with MS.

No idea how this will affect MJ etc going forward, but as I have at least one active lesion it's likely they'll put me on steroids 😟 so hope to god they let me stay on MJ.

KeepUndercover · 28/04/2025 16:59

Oh that's a lot to process @Flapearedknave, hope you're holding up ok.

Wonkypictureframe · 28/04/2025 17:55

That sounds like a lot to process, @Flapearedknave. I hope they do let you go on, but also that you have people supporting you.

And there really are some amazing losses on here. Well done to you all.

Flapearedknave · 28/04/2025 18:11

Thanks both, tbh I'm just at the point I'm glad it's something, and I can start on the path to managing it.

Work are fantastic, which helps massively.

Moanranger · 28/04/2025 20:03

@Flapearedknave that’s tough news, but at least you have a diagnosis and support. I continue my semi-bed bound recuperation- rather bored, but still also light-headed. I want to get up and about, but not really physically ready to do so. I am doing my exercises and sleeping reasonably well.
I was really worried I would start boredom eating, but I actually have very little appetite. I delayed jab two days, it seems to be working ( I felt like last week it wasn’t)
I got hugely conflicting advice on discharge, nurse ( who saw me for 2 min max) said I would need to keep sling on for six weeks, printed info says 2-3 weeks. Although I sort of need it in general, I also like to take it off and let my arm stretch. I am sure I will be out of it sooner rather than later. Haven’t weighed myself, too much swelling still.

guestusername · 29/04/2025 17:41

Simple slimmie pleasure… I went for a ride on the back of OH’s motorbike today for the first time since I started MJ and it was so much easier, even with my flabless butt 🤣

AgathaMystery · 29/04/2025 18:07

@Flapearedknave sending you lots of love. Lots to process xxx

guestusername · 29/04/2025 18:30

@Flapearedknave @Moanranger sending my best to you both in your various health issues. Make extra sure to look after yourselves 🙂

imnottoofussed · 30/04/2025 14:33

So family chemist have refused to prescribe me another 15mg pen as I’m now at bmi 21.6. Apparently they only prescribe to bmi 21 and wouldn’t want me losing more weight. They said I could have a 5mg pen. I was hoping to lose another stone and get to bmi 19.6 which is still above the bottom of healthy range for me. I could get to bmi 18.5 before being unhealthy.

I do have some spare pens so can still use those but wasn’t planning to drop down to 5mg for maintenance as surely that’ll have no discernible impact on appetite or fullness to enable me to maintain.
