It's so lovely to see some activity on this thread again - it'd gone so quiet I'd got out of the habit of checking in.
All going well here. I've been maintaining (sort of) since November. I've been reducing dose very gradually from 10mg to 4mg. Weight had continued to drop but I seem to have found some stability now around 9st7lb/BMI 20.4 (I was properly measured recently and was an inch shorter than I thought so all my Renpho stats got worse!).
I was beginning to wonder if the dose was now too low after a pretty disastrous 10days around Easter when I seemed to be eating everything in sight and not feeling any effects. But after giving myself some time off weighing and worrying, I discovered I'd gained less than two pounds and I lost that within 3 days of getting back on track with OMAD and low carbs. This has confirmed for me that MJ is still doing some pretty heavy lifting in the background, on my metabolism, etc as previously I'd have easily gained half a stone or more. Which, in turn, confirms for me that I need this medication for more than weight loss reasons and I'm on it for life.
The stock issues are worrying and although not directly affected, I've decided to build a stock of 5mgs by buying every 4 weeks but using each pen for 6x4mg (which is my limit for risk). I was hoping to manage finances by microdosing on 2.5mg pens and ordering every 6/7 weeks but I'm not confident that more shortages aren't inevitable given the increased number of people starting, privately and on the NHS.
Maintenance continues to be challenging, therefore, but I've at least recently learned that, like naturally thin people, it's fine to have a few 'bad' days. And that even if I don't feel the jab is doing anything much anymore in relation to appetite and satiety, it's still working.
