Congratulations on all the successes!

It’s such a shame that as much of a miracle as this drug is, we still can’t spot reduce our trouble areas! Maybe Eli Lilly could work on that next. If you’re listening Eli Lilly, could you please develop a drug that reduces the lower belly area and also tightens up the skin? Please and thank you 🤣

My maintenance range is 53-55kg and I’ve been consistently in that range for just over a month now so I’m counting that as being in maintenance for one month. I was bouncing around 54.5-56kg for a month before that. I’m maintaining on 7.5kg having gone up to 10mg at my highest. So far, so good.

I’m just finishing off Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred and will move on to another slightly longer weights based on once I’m done. My butt is still flat and sagging into the back of my things so I’m really trying to build my body shape back to what it used to be (hourglass/pear) from my current shape which just feels a bit teenage boyish (with a horrible lower belly).

Feeling so much better about myself though and wouldn’t go back for a million dollars.

JanetSnakeholeMacklin · 29/03/2025 06:17

I would definitely be up for a jab that tightens up the skin and lower belly!

I'm almost at my one year anniversary of MJ. So far, I've lost 97 lbs. If I can lose another 3lbs in the next week, that will make it 100lbs lost in a year - which is a lovely round number.

This time last year I was size 22/24 and now I'm a 12. I still have about another 20-30lbs to go to be BMI 24-25.

My life has changed beyond recognition - I'm active all the time for the first time in my life. This drug is a miracle, but I really think that working on your activity/fitness and your mindset around food is crucial as well.

ThirdStorm · 29/03/2025 10:05

I’ve been the same weight (ignoring the plus and minus 3lb that seems to happen every few days) for 3 months! I’m starting to believe I can stay here and not immediately start regaining like I’ve done on every other diet attempt since I was in my early 30s! 🤣

Wonkypictureframe · 29/03/2025 10:27

@JanetSnakeholeMacklin that’s amazing! Well done. And brilliant stuff, @KeepUndercover too.

I’m realising that the ‘fat’ on my stomach is mostly loose skin. Very depressing in one way as it won’t go, but at the same time there’s not much to be gained from further weightloss I guess.

I came off MJ proper in mid-December, and have since done one 2.5mg pen over about six weeks to keep me honest on holiday - it means I ate what I wanted to eat but lost the unpleasant hunger sensation that appeared when I first stopped. My weight now is pretty much the same as mid-December, so like @ThirdStorm it’s been three months. I think if I do the occasional 2.5mg I will be OK. I eat as I like, but have a noticeably smaller appetite for food and alcohol all round. My fingers are crossed for the future.

KrankyKumquat · 29/03/2025 10:48

I've got a thigh gap but unfortunately, it looks like it's lined with corrugated cardboard. This morning, my OH suggested I get a bikini...until I demonstrated what happens when I bend at the waist; from the right angle, my midriff looks like a cartoon toad's face. It's my new party trick.

Wonkypictureframe · 29/03/2025 11:16

I’m intrigued!

I was planking yesterday in my Pilates class wearing a baggy t shirt and when I looked down there was a gruesome sight of wrinkly skin hanging down.

I do see before and after shots from people who are substantially younger (and carried less of their weight round their midriff) and feel very negative towards my own appearance when they are modelling amazing flat stomachs without even a stretchmark on show. But I have words with myself when that happens.

KeepUndercover · 29/03/2025 11:31

Oh god I had the gruesome wrinkly skin while planking in a class recently too. Except mine was on my arm. Making me concerned for t-shirts this summer!

I also tried on some two piece swimsuits recently, but I went for tankinis rather than bikinis. I was not a fan. Nearly got stuck in one of the tops too, it had the weirdest wired under cups I've ever experienced. I thought I was going to be tangled up in it forever.

Wonkypictureframe · 29/03/2025 11:36

Yeah, my upper arms and thighs are all an unattractive sight!

I will never have a bikini body but tankinis can be good as they have less pull on them I think. But my issue is tiny boobs and big tummy so tankinis give my body a bit more of the right shape.

ObsidianTree · 30/03/2025 10:42

Morning all, thought I would check in after being pretty AWOL.

Been keeping up a bit and reading posts but not been adding to chat recently.

Was interested to see about fat redistribution and didn't know this was a thing. Since new year I have been using up my stash and was down to my last 15mg pen. I ordered my next pen from Oushk but then found out they didn't have stock so decided to order from Zava. They asked for all the pics with dates etc as I hadn't used them for months. I hadn't taken any weight loss pics since November and later when comparing the pics my legs look skinnier now but my butt seems to have some more weight. So hoping weight redistribution happens more for me! Maybe some fat moving itself from my belly and moving more to my butt would be nice!

Have got down to 10st 7lbs. So since Jan have lost a further half a stone. Been using between 12.5 and 15mg. Have found that 15mg keeps me consistent and I do lose weight on it. I can eat and feel like eating but it keeps my portions smaller. I find with the lower dose of 12.5 I can eat more and crave more and this dose I maintain my weight on. 10mg feels like I haven't injected anything! So can't go that low!

I'm going to stick to 15mg for a bit longer. I have lost 97lbs and am 1 lb off losing 7st. My BMI is about 22.4. I kind of want to get into the 9st bracket as that would be a miracle for me and haven't been there since a teenager. Just 9st 13lbs to say I'm in the 9s! Will need to see what the BMI is for that. I hope to lose more of the belly as there seems to be a lot of fat still in there. I have been walking more and my energy levels are great. I am ready to join a gym and will do that soon. I need to tone up and hope that by going to the gym that can help with the sagginess I am starting to see on my body. Mainly my butt, upper arms near the arm pit, top of thighs. Also hoping for some snap back somewhat!

Hope everyone is getting on well ☺️

Also, if anyone wants to take over for the next thread that would be great. I'm on here hardly often so would be great if a regular takes over to keep it going ☺️ thanks all

I don’t think we will need a new thread till the middle of summer at the slow speed we now post @ObsidianTreeand I am sure one of us will step in when needed.

I am currently maintaining at 10st on 10mg. But I am feeling too tired to go to the gym or do much exercise as I am tired most of the time. I have seeing the dr next week as I am borderline anaemic. I don’t think it’s anything to do with Mounjaro as my haemaglobin which was previously 140+ started dropping 5 years ago. My ferritin is reasonably good so I think it’s from my B12 levels being too low. Hope it can be fixed with some super dose supplements as my body need to gain some muscle tone in the gym! I hope when I get my haemaglobin up and get more energy I can exercise more and try a drop to 7.5mg.

GrimDamnFanjo · 31/03/2025 08:38

I'm two weeks away from my 1 year anniversary and I've still got around two stones to lose. I'm on 10mg so thinking it may be time to move up again.
I've now switched to oushk.
My life has changed such a lot in a year. I'm around 6.5 stones down now.

KeepUndercover · 31/03/2025 09:08

One of us can definitely start a new thread when we hit the end of this eventually. Glad things are going ok @ObsidianTree , hope the gym does the trick. I've been doing more exercise and was very excited to spot I could actually see my bicep muscle appearing.

@Choux hope you can get to the bottom of the tiredness and find a solution.

@GrimDamnFanjo you've done brilliantly, it's a slog sometimes isn't it?

I did my official weekly weigh in today and confirmed my healthy BMI status. Bought a new summer dress in celebration. Realised I need to buy new bras again which is gutting. Although I might avoid the spendy underwired ones and get more of the comfy M&S one I'm currently wearing. It's not bad for support and the lack of wires is definitely a bonus.

Moanranger · 31/03/2025 14:16

So I am maintaining between 66kg & 63.5 kg. The low end puts me just below 25BMI. This morning I was 64.5 kg. Re bras, I am back in a selection of Rigby & Peller bras I bought over 10 years ago, but that I couldn’t wear for some time. They are still quite comfy & in good nick, but the size labels have faded, so I have no idea what to re-order. I have decided to bite the bullet, & have made an appointment for a fitting with them. They are eye wateringly expensive, but quality beats all other brands. I am buying no new clothes (just re- purposing my old wardrobe) so this is how I am justifying it. I need a couple of black ones & some briefs. Will report back.

Moanranger · 31/03/2025 14:19

Oh, and it’s my year anniversary! 22.5 kg gone😃

KeepUndercover · 31/03/2025 21:48

Excellent maintaining and happy anniversary @Moanranger. Are you still on Mounjaro with the maintenance? What dose is working for you if so?

Moanranger · 01/04/2025 04:36

I am maintaining on 5mg. No plans to taper off.

Everdecreasingcircumferences · 01/04/2025 18:22

Hi All

I'm 13 months in, finally dropped below 74kg this morning and my BMI is 26.5 down from 35.6 when I started. I am 4.4kg away from a healthy BMI of 24.9 and have lost 4 stones so far, wearing a loose size 14/large 12 (apart from my bust which is still a size 16, but having shrunk from 38J to a 32GG I'm not really complaining).
I signed up to a hideously expensive personal training program yesterday, induction is next Tuesday. My bottom is big and saggy and my bingo wings are threatening to take flight, definitely need some strength training (obvs for long term health too)!
My blood pressure is still high unfortunately, I've never had high blood sugar or cholesterol so no change in those markers, I'd like to think my heart is healthier though for carrying less of a load. Am on 15mg, think I might go back to 12mg as I find myself forgetting to eat if I'm not careful and want to get into healthier habits.
Further to the swimwear convo I am on the hunt for a new set too, would like a tankini as my umbilical hernia plus saggy lower belly makes for a look I'm not too keen on showing off!

Hi girls. I’ve been steady since October. Just maintaining and injecting every 2-3 weeks. Anyway…. Awful awful pain Friday night and last night so I’m having my gallbladder removed on Friday as a semi emergency procedure. I can’t wait.

YouAreEffluentKim · 01/04/2025 22:57

Blimey, @AgathaMysterythat sounds awful. Are you in hospital now or did they discharge you back home till Friday? I’m constantly amazed that I’ve never had gallbladder problems considering I’ve lost 15+kg (35+lb) probably 6 or 7 times in my adulthood. It seems quite common, especially as I’ve had most of the ‘F’s - fat, forties, female etc.

Mind you, I’ve probably jinxed myself now!

Wonkypictureframe · 02/04/2025 08:29

Oh, good luck, Agatha. That pain is horrific, isn’t it? I hope you’re feeling better again very soon.

ThirdStorm · 02/04/2025 08:51

OMG @AgathaMystery I hope it all goes smoothly.

Moanranger · 02/04/2025 14:14

@AgathaMystery sorry to hear of your troubles😪I hope Friday goes well.
I am just back from bra fitting/buying. Strangely, I am now a 34D. When I was last this weight I was 34C, so I seem to have lost less up top.
I am not alone in noticing this, but fat loss on MJ seems different to a typical calorie-restricted diet. I have lost more in legs & ankles & less around midriff, maybe an effect of the drug.
So I now have some nice, properly-fitting bras, grim looking at myself in harsh changing room lights, though😱

I’m home and I’ve been at work. I feel absolutely fine between attacks. They hit at 6-7pm every night and last about 5hrs. It’s wild.

It it related to MJ? Hope you feel better soon

Well done all - how amazing! So many of us are at or so close to target!

I am now 14 months in and I continue to lose veeeeeery slowly. I have lost 2.5 lbs this year, I am down 62 lbs, with a bmi of 24.2, and all green on my FITINDEX scales except for my age, which is driving me crazy. I am on 12.5 and plan to stay on that for my diabetes, and I still have great blood sugar and blood pressure numbers. I have been doing Pilates most days, and loving it - it’s becoming a bit of an obsession, which I never thought I would say about exercise. I also walk about 3.5 miles each morning with a weighted vest, which seems to be improving my stamina.

We are going skiing next week, which is going to be different, as I am so much lighter. It will be interesting to see how I feel.

Yes to the loose skin on arms and thighs, and trying on new swimsuits that hide the imperfections. I am also having to buy a completely new summer wardrobe as none of the old stuff fits. But I am finally really enjoying clothes again, and buying some lovely stuff for the first time in decades. One positive is I think the exercise has made my bum a little less flat after it disappeared. And my DH says I have lost all my extra chins.
