I cannot really talk about true maintenance, as I am remaining on MJ for my T2 diabetes, but I just spent a week in holiday in France, skiing and only put on 1 pound.
The biggest change from 15 months ago was that I had a little bit of anything I wanted to eat or drink, but I could stop whenever I felt the need to. Pre-Mounjaro, I did not know how to stop eating, as I never really felt full or satisfied.
I had sparkling wine every day for apres-ski, ate dessert several times, had some of my favorite “fattening” meals, and did not feel deprived at all. However, the way I ate was so different - I could have 1/3 to 1/2 of dessert and then just leave it because it felt like enough, and when I wanted to, I made much healthier choices. I was also so much more active - despite skiing miles every day for 6 days in a row, I never got more than a bit achy in the legs. We also went for a walk every evening around the village or to the next village, and I skied like a demon. I just wish I had made this investment in myself sooner, but still better late than never.
@Notsuchafattynow - I am buying summer clothes, as I have nothing decent for warm weather, everything is too big, even from last summer when I had lost about 30 lbs. I am enjoying choosing new clothes far too much, it’s been so long since I enjoyed getting dressed nicely.
@PissedOffNeighbour22 - looking forward to seeing photos if you choose to share. I am sure you will look amazing!
@Moanranger - Paris sounds like it was fun! I really did enjoy French food in the Alpes. It was amazing to get fabulous salads on the slopes. Ski food is really bad here in the U.S., and very expensive. And the pains au chocolat and bread - so good and without all the crappy sugar they put in it here.
