Thinking of starting weight loss injections

how much weight have you lost

how long did it take to notice a huge difference

Also what type of injections are you currently taking?

I do my abdomen,I pinch a but - no chance if hitting muscle. The needles are very short. It all sounds terrifying, but I promise its actually all good!

It does sound terrifying but I’m sure after the first time I won’t feel as bad!!

It's a teeny tiny needle. Think it says 4mm on the ones I have and very fine, you really don't feel it beyond the tiniest sting you have to be paying attention to notice.

@murraymcgill

hi, yes I’m feeling ok! Just can’t face anything to eat at all felt hungry this morning so had a sandwich but that’s all since eating that I can’t eat anything the smell of food is making me feel sick.

last night about 2 hours after the injection I went to get a drink took the tiniest sip and felt really sick and went to sleep woke up feeling ok just a bit of a dry mouth that’s all.

one thing I did notice though was I had a great sleep? I’ve never slept like that in a long time since before having kids maybe it was just a convenience not sure.

OP posts:
murraymcgill · 15/01/2025 17:44

Just thought I would update -

took my first injection on Tuesday night weight in at 12.11

today im 12.4

side effects have been

feeling very sick
headache.
very sleepy.

Only things I’ve managed to eat since Tuesday night is Toastie, lentil soup and lots of fluid water/fresh orange juice

baring in mind I was drinking at least 2L coke everyday now I can’t even put it to my mouth without feeling sick.

seems alot I’ve lost just in 3 days starting to feel more hungry now but just can’t seem to actually eat yet.

OP posts:
InfoSecInTheCity · 17/01/2025 21:56

Hopefully the feeling sick will settle down for you. Do make an effort to eat as much as you can, much like morning sickness, the nausea will get worse if you don't eat. Try to have very small amounts of food regularly if necessary or something like an electrolyte drink to keep up your sugars, salts and what not.

TryingAgainAgainAgain · 19/01/2025 21:30

Add a clear protein drink, something like:

www.myprotein.com/p/sports-nutrition/clear-whey-protein-powder/12081395/

TryingAgainAgainAgain · 19/01/2025 21:32

And if you're still not able to eat adequately, ask your provider for advice, @Glasgow1996.
