Thinking of starting weight loss injections

how much weight have you lost

how long did it take to notice a huge difference

Also what type of injections are you currently taking?

I've been on since March 2023 and have lost nearly 5 stone including a 9 month stall last year. I wasn't aware we needed to list our whole history when answering a post.

Anyone can do a name search https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/weight_loss_chat/rybelsus-day-01

Edited

I'm not getting your point, that's a completely different drug you were on previously 😬

My point was, your response was very much that you moved up because that's what MJ users must do. That's not correct, you had to move up as it wasn't working for you. That's not the case for us all.

It's dangerous to suggest everyone must move up every 4 weeks.

Op should be advised to he sensible and take the advice of their prescriber and listen to their body, based on their individual circumstances 🥰

What on earth are you talking about. The poster at no stage said everyone must ,over up. Please read it again.they clearly stated they preferred to move up and can’t talk for anyone else.

I disagree, and that's OK 🥰 the post very much read that health professionals say to move up every 4 weeks and their advice should be followed, this is not true now, providers know that's not safe for everyone. Now maybe stop derailing the thread, the viewpoints have been explained 🥰

NewLifter · 10/01/2025 08:05

OP, I'm sure you're sorry you asked 🤣 as I've said, as with everything MJ related, it's best to take advice from your prescriber rather than Internet randoms 🤗 they will keep you safe 😍

@Glasgow1996 Message received from pharmacy2u this morning telling me the doctor has completed the review of my consultation and advising I log on to see details.
On logging on, my order is still showing as Clinical Review, so no idea what's going on. Don't know if it's been approved or not!

I do now have a prescription section that says prescription received and estimated dispatch is showing as 14th January.

So I'm guessing I have been approved now.

I spoke to them this morning on the phone and advised they are back logged and can take up to 36hrs.

Thanks. I bet the £60 off has increased the number of orders they are receiving, so understandable.
I don't need mine urgently so I'm okay to wait.

Lds1 · 10/01/2025 11:42

32.2 kg (5 stone) since end of July. I have so much to lose I don't think there's a massive difference in how I look yet.

TheChosenTwo · 10/01/2025 14:49

I’ve lost 30lbs in 10 weeks, weigh day tomorrow which will mark 11 weeks.
I’ve noticed a big difference around my shoulders and my hips, I think at my last measure (and I highly recommend measuring areas with a tape, I do mine every 4 weeks) I had lost something like 14 cms from the circumference around my shoulders and 10 from my hips. My thighs are noticeably slimmer.
BUT my upper arm fat isn’t moving 😆
Also, other people have noticed I’ve lost weight now.
Ive got another 2 and a bit stone to lose before I’ll be in the middle of the healthy bracket but I just feel so much better in myself, putting really good nutritious food into my body and really focusing on looking after myself. Best of luck with your journey, there are monthly threads for new starters if you want to join.

Snozzlemaid · 10/01/2025 18:04

@Glasgow1996 Mine's now showing as dispatched.

@Glasgow1996 Mine's now showing as dispatched.

I have now been prescribed mine too.
dispatch date is Monday.

when do I re order then for my next four weekly dose if the jag only lasts a month

OP posts:
Snozzlemaid · 10/01/2025 23:36

You might want to wait until you've had your third dose as you'll have to decide whether to go up or stay on same dose for another month.

AnotherPixy · 11/01/2025 00:20

I’ve lost 6lbs in 6 weeks. I’m mostly! okay with that though. Another 30lbs to go.

Sometimes I wish I could click my fingers and all the weight would be gone but then I think of 6 lbs of potatoes and how heavy that weighs and look at it positively.

Starting slowly (I micro-dosed spread out doses) may also have helped with side effects - as the only one I’ve experienced is some constipation. Though I can’t be sure. Overall I'm still enjoying my food but eating smaller portions. Still on 2.5 mg but will move to 3.75 mg next week.

Yeah it’s all new to me. I’ll see how I get on for the first 3 weeks and take it from there.

Just ordered myself a new exercise bike .

Good luck with it @Glasgow1996

I've just had my order from pharmacy2u delivered, so once approved it's been very quick.

Packaged well and ice packs still frozen. Got a code for money off a next order as well inside the box so may use them again if it's a good price again.

Glasgow1996 · 11/01/2025 15:14

I got approved late about 9 last night,

there’s an estimated dispatch date

did u get an update when it was dispatched

@Snozzlemaid

Snozzlemaid · 11/01/2025 15:27

Yes, I had an email titled 'your order is on its way' then had regular updates from Royal Mail after.

I do my belly. I can 100% guarantee I have 0 chance of hitting a muscle 😂

Snozzlemaid · 11/01/2025 16:27

Same here. Always injected into my stomach and there is absolutely no way it would go into muscle with all my flab.

NewLifter · 11/01/2025 16:49

I do my abdomen,I pinch a but - no chance if hitting muscle. The needles are very short. It all sounds terrifying, but I promise its actually all good!

TryingWegovy · 11/01/2025 16:53

Lost 24kg in less than 6 months. I've reached a healthy BMI, can go running again, and wear size 10/12 clothes. It's done wonders for my physical and mental health.
