@Celia24 Sounds like you had some strong reactions in week 1, not surpriisng that your appetitie was suppressed with all that going on. This week are you still hungry between meals? Do you feel full earlier when you are eating a meal?
2.5mg is a dose to get our bodies used to the drug, some people have little effect until 5mg or even 7.5mg. But some are overwhelmed at 2.5mg and feel the need to cut back. We are all so different!
I think this topic is so interesting in a broader sense. Because so many people are paying for this privately (rather than following an NHS prescription) I think we are making more individual judgements about the dose we take to balance side effects, appetite suppression, and also how quickly we ramp up the doses or stick with something we find acceptable.
I have found with all other medications that NHS prescriptions and simply more prescriptive. For example, I was on a medication for high blood pressure. If I take zero, my BP fluctuates wildly and generally rises. If I take the full minimum clinical dose I experience side effects. So I decided (for myself) to take half a tablet. Result was stable BP, no side effects, but Dr said that I couldn't take that amount as it was a sub-clinical dose and had no proven efficacy. Except it worked for me!
