Oh I love a curry.

I'm trying to find a snack that hits the spicy spot.

I also really want a spicy drink. Probably should avoid spicy stuff to be honest but sometimes a meal doesn't feel satisfying unless it's spicy, and I've been dreaming up this spicy, minty, cucumbery lemonade and I bet if I tried to make it it would be absolutely gross but all I've been able to think about it making a spicy liquid alternative to food to sate my cravings.

Lidl do a ginger drink thing in small cans. They're spicy and absolutely disgusting (in my eyes) but worth a try I guess if that's your thing.

This one.

Belvoir Ginger Cordial is pretty spicy. I add it to sparkling water and I find it really helps with nausea too. It is one of the few ginger drinks I can find without gross artificial sweetener.

Morrisons sell Langley Farm yogurt and cottage cheese.

doingitthistime · 07/09/2024 11:23

Went to the GP for a blood test Thursday so stood on their all singing and dancing machine.
It told me that whilst I was 2lb lighter than mine tell me, I'm also an inch shorter than I thought I was so my BMI has gone up not down.😄
At least it means I can stay on MJ for longer.

QueenOfHiraeth · 07/09/2024 11:51

Saw this regarding injection site. It's only a very small study and reported by TikTok so not the highest clinical credentials but it's interesting

Also disproves the current TikTok mantra of arm is best

Morning,

I just seen something up thread about close expiry dates and the company saying it can be used for up to six months after.. is this wrong?

I ask as the pen I received states expiry date September 2024- does that mean the end of September?

They attached a note stating the above.

I'm confused now?

Would this effect the purpose of the medication? I've only taken 3x 2.5mg dose and haven't felt too much suppression?

Thanks

Oh thank you. I will keep an eye out for these. I would eat ginger raw all day if I could.

@GoodLuckBabe @3wDavid have you tried the Kallo beetroot and balsamic vinegar rice cakes? Absolutely bloody delicious, 40 calories each and they’re just as good as crisps used to be!

@VioletsHeart @MounjaroMunchie @Pinkyp22 if you have one in your area, I find Waitrose low fat cottage cheese as good as Langley Farm; it’s got that same tang to it. It’s wetter, but I prefer that if I’m having it as a jacket potato topping.

@Jimmyneutronsforehead Congrats on the new low! - but so sorry your dog is in a state. I loved the idea of making him PJs; I only have cats and they’d have my arm off at the very suggestion! I have had a rough morning after my first 7.5mg injection on Thursday night - I won’t bore fellow posters on the slow losers thread by repeating the details, but bottom line I’ve finally shifted by a single pound (well, 0.6lb if I’m being honest) after three weeks. There’s a reason I’m on the other thread 😆

CoffeeWithMyOxygen · 07/09/2024 12:39

Can anyone help with me a “count the clicks” thing - I’ve ordered 7.5 for the third month in a row as initially the side effects of it hit me like a truck, but I’m in a stall now and slightly regretting it. How many additional clicks would I need to top up to a 10mg dose from this pen?

To get an extra 2.5mg from a 7.5mg pen would be another 20 clicks, or 0.2ml if you use a syringe, according to the table I shared yesterday.

Thank, I missed the table! Another question - I took my 7.5 last night, can I top up with 2.5 today or is that a bad idea and I should wait until my next scheduled day?

KrankyKumquat · 07/09/2024 13:27

@CoffeeWithMyOxygen
No worries.
As long as you've been on 7.5 for a month, going up to 10 now shouldn't be a problem and I can't see an issue with doing the extra bit today.

ThirdStorm · 07/09/2024 14:02

@doingitthistime nurse recently told me I’m shorter than I thought! Ha! So I didn’t change my height on last MedExpress order as I was worried they’d question what was going on!

guestusername · 07/09/2024 14:17

An NSV of sorts - I’ve gone from a 38G to 34F 😀

So nice to wear a bra that puts them where they should be and isn’t sitting in my armpits 🤣

NewLifter · 07/09/2024 14:23

Glad it's not just me who experienced the recent height disappointment, putting my BMI from 29 back up to 30 😭

Pinkbendyman · 07/09/2024 14:41

@Doobi regarding the expiry dates, the safest way to check is to email Lilly direct with the pen strength, expiry date on the actual pen and the batch number, also found on the pen.
They replied to my enquiry the same working day.
Their email address is ukmedinfo@lilly.com

I have boob reducing envy! I'm. 36GG and hate it.

I’ve been with ZAVA since my 2nd pen back in May but am seriously considering moving to Oushk just before I reach a healthy BMI.

They’ve now released their 3 different plans in a lot more detail:

Saw a person on Instagram promoting a 'company' selling mounjaro this morning, trying to encourage people to use her code for money off.
Had a little look onto the page of the 'company' she is promoting and I'm shocked.
No wonder some people judge when people use MJ when you have people like this irresponsibly sourcing it.

Some screen shots attached from the instagram page. The no minimum BMI and the win a free pen really stood out for me. It's just shocking people obtaining medication this way.

Their 'consultation' is done via WhatsApp !!!

I have blocked out the name of the instagram account on the attachments.

Have you reported the account to the MHRA or to the GPhC?

Have you reported the account to the MHRA or to the GPhC?

I've reported them to ASA for advertising POM by name and for the giveaway, but no, how do I do that if you don't mind me asking?

SilenceInside · 07/09/2024 15:44

medicine-seller-register.mhra.gov.uk/report

This is for the MHRA, I don't know if it would cover TikTok as you have to give the webpage address. Not sure if you can do that for TikTok pages.

The GPhC have a reporting process on their website but not sure they can take action against someone who isn't presenting themselves as a pharmacy.

Help! I am on the brink of giving up due to side effects.

At 2.5mcg I was fine but when I moved to 5, I got terrible upset stomach with insane gas. I've never experienced this before. My stomach is broiling and gurgling constantly, it is even interrupting my sleep not to mention the social stress of managing the gas indignity!

It is worst after injection and settles a bit towards the end of the 7 days. I've tried--- peppermint capsules, windeze, IBS for wind/bloating, probiotics, Rennie, Gaviscon, cutting out dairy.

I've been tested at the GP in case it was a bacteria or other problem etc but all was ok. So it must be the Mounjaro.

I feel like I can't go on like this but am also losing weight nicely and am more comfortable in my body than I have been in years (weight-wise).

Is there anything else I can do? Not tried Buscopan cos it isn't cramps but maybe I should. Help!
