That’s annoying for you.

BUT, it’s not been very warm the last few days, and assuming you receive it on Monday, the efficacy of your pen should be totally fine. Just pop it in the fridge, and start using it when you need to start it.

I got a warm pen in the heat of summer (I think it was near 30C) and my pen was sat in a depot Fri through to Monday. I reached out to Eli Lilly for assessment and they confirmed it was good to use.

Thanks for sharing your experience but I'm still not convinced, it was over 20 degrees here yesterday and the ice packs would have already defrosted by then, which means the 30 day period will have started and I'm not due to start the pen yet, I ordered early when they sent the reminder, typically first time I've not waited until I need it. With the amount we pay I think we deserve to receive it in the correct conditions, presumably Eli Lilly state between 2 and 8 degrees for a reason.

Hello lovely helpful people. My £190 pen has been sat at my local mail centre since Thursday without moving, so there's very little chance that when it does arrive it will still be chilled. I intend to reject the pen but in anticipation of a fight with Zava, can anyone advise me of how to find that helpful statement someone posted from Eli Lilly re prescribers not being allowed to use any of the 30 days out of fridge limit? Thanks, Happy Sunday.

Hey, are you sure it's actually with royal mail? Zava have confirmed that they print the despatch label but don't actually pack and send packages the date they show as despatched. Usually if you check the royal mail tracking label it says waiting to be received. Then when it's received it's delivered the next day.

Obviously you might know this and it's actually showing as received and in their warehouse. If so, ignore me!

Hi, it's me again. Here for another moan.
I did 4 weeks on 2.5mg, 1 week on approx 3mg and last week took 3.75mg. I lost 15lbs over the first 5 weeks. This week I'm on track for a 2lb gain if scales say the same tomorrow. I've just taken 3.75 cause this week I've to drive my kids over 2hrs away, stay on a camp site with no toilets, do a full day at a theme park then drive over 2hrs home again. That alone is sending my anxiety sky high so with having an upset stomach all week I didn't want to go up to 5mg just yet. I don't feel like suppression is strong enough but I've been under calories due to the upset stomach (spend more time glued to toilet than able to eat anything). I've stopped my 3 in 1 magnesium incase that was aggravating my stomach.

So to sum up:
If my calories are under tdee
My food is clean (I've lots of allergies so strict diet)
My water is at 2-3lts
I can't exercise due to health

Am I missing anything? Is it just a case of ride it out? If this is normal to happen then I'll keep the faith to keep going but if I'm being stupid some how I'd rather know now x

Sounds like you're doing everything right. The only time I've had an upset tummy in the 5 months I've been on MJ, is when I started magnesium 3in1. It cleared as soon as I stopped it. Apparently, one of the magnesium types is a laxative sort of thing. I was on the wrong type to help with sleep 🙄 hopefully you'll be the same.

Yea, they received it at Warrington MC Thursday, moved it to local one Friday for delivery Saturday, but its not moved since. Thanks

I'll continue to avoid it this week & maybe restart after our trip.
I was on a single magnesium originally but then this 3 in 1 was marketed as better -guess not.
I joked that I should have lost something purely from the amount of toilet trips but instead my body has decided to be different.

Anyone experienced low blood pressure or anemia on MJ? I’ve always had perfect BP but been feeling faint and dizzy when going from sitting to standing, BP monitor conf it’s low, wondering if I shouldn’t book apmt with GP

MounjaroMunchie · 22/09/2024 16:27

So peed off today - bought myself some new Renpho scales as my old Healthkeep ones have stopped doing body fat etc measurements. New ones weigh me 1.2lbs heavier 😭😭😭

SnacklessWonder · 22/09/2024 16:34

Yep @MounjaroMunchie my new Renpho measure me heavier too, less than a lb though. I've decided to stick with my original scales for consistency.

NowImNotDoingIt · 22/09/2024 16:41

Did anyone get sore/tender breasts and nipples on MJ? Similar to when I'm due on. It started in the first week and hasn't stopped. It's not bad enough for me to stop, but very annoying. I've also not seen it as a possible side effect anywhere, so maybe it could be something else /coincidence.

Yes
It lowers blood pressure.
I was ok untill I took 7.5mg, my bp dropped to 91/75 and my heart rate was 115. Felt dizzy on getting up but I didn't have a postural drop in blood pressure.
Test your Bp when sitting, then do again when standing, if there is a significant difference I'd get checked out by your GP. Stay hydrated.

Ive dropped down to 6.25 it seems a bit better, although bp is still on the lower side and herat rate higher than id like. Just plodding on with it for now

Hhhmm I wonder if me going from 5mg to 6mg has caused this, will go back to 5mg this week…

I am trying to formulate a plan...I don't want to be on MJ for Christmas/December. No way, it's my fav time of year and I want to be able to eat and drink normally. Food is a big part of it for me. So talking to DH...

My current 5mg pen will take me to October 13th - when I can do bonus dose. I am thinking of dropping to 2.5mg then to take me to end of November and not taking any in December.

Then going back on 2.5mg in January. 2.5mg was quite successful for me, I lost a stone really on 2.5mg + 3.33mg bonus dose and I have about 16-18 lbs more to lose.

Does that sound like madness? Or should I just stay on in December. I have pretty strong suppression so I am worried it really will ruin the enjoyment for me!

Do you need to be off of it for the whole of December? Can you take it for the first two weeks then have the second two off and return to it in January?

MabelSpan · 22/09/2024 17:13

@MounjaroMunchie I bought Renpho scales too, mine read the same as my old scales. I really like them, never had any like them before, I also got the tape measure.
@Bas16 Yes, I had slightly raised to high BP but since being on MJ, (7wks), my BP is now back within the normal range.

Doing this will really set you back and why would you want to eat and drink as you normally do at Christmas if that normal helped with you needing to use MJ in the first place. Before you know, probably not long after you stop the MJ permanently you’ll be back to where you started because you will keep adding to the times you want to eat and drink normally.

Now is the time to be finding your new normal. Not reverting back to the old one.

slummymummy82 · 22/09/2024 17:30

Has anyone found that mj affects their sleep quality? I've had 3 pens and upped the dose each time and lost 9kg. I wear a smart watch which tracks my sleep score and body battery and even though im sleeping fine the sleep quality score is often low and my body battery rarely charges past 50% and I feel like im not energised in the morning. I don't drink and have good sleep hygiene and I'm wondering if it's the jab although it could well be peri menopause. I can't decide whether to come off the jab and find out for sure. I did the 5th dose of 7.5mg on Tuesday but feel like the appetite suppression had been wearing off the past 2 weeks anyway so probably needed to move up to the 10mg anyway if I am going to stay on it. But I just can't decide. I've still got 15kg to lose, ( have lost 45kg al together in the last 2 years) but I had hit a wall so tried MJ but I have stalled again.

Snozzlemaid · 22/09/2024 17:33

I slept terribly before MJ but sleep much better on it.
But I have read of others having issues like you.

My bp has reduced to 97/71, both GP and cardiologist are aware but neuther have expressed concern, so I suppose it depends on how low your is.

Aagghhh, how annoying!

I think I will just suck it up for my next weigh-in. The old ones really are on their way out so I would have had to buy some more anyway for a basic weighing function as well as the smart stuff, so probably would have had the same issue later down the line.

Still gutting after a decent loss this week!

Jimmyneutronsforehead · 22/09/2024 17:50

DP came out of hospital today, they got an ultrasound in this morning and they were happy with what they saw and the IV antibiotics did their job.

I forgot to have the 2.5mg top up to make my week dose up to 7.5mg with everything that has gone on, and I've gone back up to 102.5kg.

That said, we'd booked to take DS to jurassic world Manchester today with a photo ticket, and I'm not mad with what I saw.

I would say what I saw on the photo aligns with what I see in the mirror which is a slightly plump lady with an extra but shrinking chin, I don't look like a balloon anymore!

Did mean DP had to make his own way back from hospital though but good news all round.

@AnnieMcFanny I don't mean go absolutely crazy but on MJ I won't even be able to eat 1/4 of a Christmas dinner. And I get what you're saying but I don't intend ever to restrict myself moving forward once I've got to goal. By Christmas if I carry on the way I am going I'll be near enough goal.

Like I said, the old "normal" was because I was lazy and overate, and drank two glasses of wine a night. it was that simple, it wasn't emotional eating or anything else. I now have a fitness regime - cardio and weights, I walk 10000 steps a day (at least) and I don't drink any alcohol at home. I don't intend to go back to that but I would like to be able to enjoy a few glasses of wine with my family, and eat a big Christmas dinner as usual - even if that means a few extra lbs back on.

I never intend to put the weight back on again, but I accept that my weight will fluctuate up and down and I'll need to keep any eye on that. Daily weighing helps.
