@tellmeitsnotjustme12 a full dose from any pen is 60 clicks. And I found out this week when reducing my own dose that 20 clicks is one completely revolution of the plunger so after 20 clicks the 0 is back facing you again.

If you were fine side effects wise and were losing weight on that why not go back to 5mg? Which is 40 clicks.

Thanks Choux. Yes I think I’ll take enough clicks for a 5 dose this week and if I get on okay just go back to that dose with my next order as no point being miserable if still loosing a pound or so a week.

So I bought 15mg from curate yesterday for £168 and I was actually really pleased with how quick it came. For those who have to use the cheapest option I think it was worth going with the morally less ideal company.
The needles and wipes came in a little sealed pouch with 8 wipes and 5 needles.
There was also less than 24 hours from ordering to receiving.

I realise this seems like a bit of an advert I'm not trying to push codes I promise.

Looking for advice please, I’ve had good steady weight loss since starting in June. I moved up to 7.5 dose 3 weeks ago and each week have had horrible side effects for 3 days afterwards (upset tummy &sulphur burps) when I’d not had many symptoms at all previously. Great for weight loss but it’s no good for functioning over busy weekends with kids. I’m planning on just taking slightly less than 7.5 this week to see if it eases symptoms a bit.

Could anybody tell me many clicks is in a full 7.5 dose? I’m thinking 60 clicks but just want to check.

Thanks.

I’m on the 3rd 7.5 pen and had had no side effects at all until two weeks ago. I inject on a Monday and for the past two weeks I’ve been sick as a dog until Wednesday. My next pen is 10mg and I’m scared so may just go for 45 clicks (7.5mg).

I haven’t answered @tellmeitsnotjustme12 ’s question… yes, a full dose of any pen is 60 clicks.

May I ask what the expiry date is? I'm aware that 12.5 and 15 have been mostly expiring by 11/24.

I ordered with curate this morning at 06.30 and it had been approved by 0800!!
Quite happy so far - I have scheduled my delivery for next Friday so hopefully that will go as smoothly as ordering

Have you calculated your TDEE - 500 and are you logging calories? Aiming for 100g protein daily and drinking enough? If no to any of those I would do that first.
I'd be a little bit concerned about going up if you already have those side-effects on 5mg as they could worsen on a higher dose, particularly as sulphur burps show your GI tract is slowed by the MJ, but I understand your frustration and, if you are doing all of the above suggestions, it may be your only option.

@QueenOfHiraeth just checking pls
my calories should be TDEE minus 500?

my tdee based on weight of 190lbs and height of 5”5” is 1673 (online calculator) based on sedentary lifestyle

so I should be on 1173 calories daily with 100g protein

does that sound right?

Thais so much

Dp is feeling much better now the hospital have given pain relief. He's not eaten anything for a good long while, since Wednesday, but he's nil by mouth until they can get him in for an ultrasound on his gallbladder and pancreas which they organised yesterday after the CT for today but it's still not happened yet.

Tea time has been and gone and the kitchen staff have gone home so I can't grab something from the canteen.

Going to be on standby for taking some good through but knowing his luck the ultrasound will be in the small hours of the morning or something like that.

@Swissrollover February 25 so fine for me

Azuresky68 · 20/09/2024 19:05

Hi everyone, I hope you are all OK. Apart from Ousch, are there any other providers offering a maintenance plan? I am aware that you need to swap before going below 25 BMI so planning ahead as I have around 18/20 pounds to lose. Many thanks

AnnieMcFanny · 21/09/2024 03:43

@thirdstorm be sure to have your ferritin level checked when doing the bloods. Low ferritin plays a big part in hair loss.

MelainesLaugh · 21/09/2024 07:13

My DH has finally said he wants to go on them. I think seeing me at almost a stone loss and being able to turn down biscuits and chocolate has made him realise how unhealthy we got. My portion control is now so much better and I’m starting to feel like I’m losing. Although so far it just seems to be on my boobs!

NewLifter · 21/09/2024 08:03

Oh gosh Jimmy,I hope your husband has a speedy recovery! It does sound like his diet and lifestyle will have played a part unfortunately so maybe this will be a blessing in disguise in a way?

NewLifter · 21/09/2024 08:09

Anyone recently ordered from Zava? Very busy at the minute and stressing about how to fit in a delivery! So need to time my order carefully. Otherwise I will go ahead and switch to Oushk as you get to choose the delivery day, I keep talking about switching anyway. I think I will only need one more pen anyway then will switch to a maintenance plan.

So my 48 hour post jab side effects are back 😭 I felt pretty awful yesterday too in fact and only managed to eat a bowl of soup (new all time low for me!). Now have the 48 hrs post jab diarrhea that has been an issue for me on and off. I will probably finish out this pen and my next on 3.75mg (have had 4x 2.5 and 9 x 3.75 so far).

Then hopefully drop down to 2.5 for maintenance.

One of the things putting me off Oushk for maintenance is that it's a subscription plan so I'm assuming they will send a pen every 4 weeks, meaning you lose the bonus dose?

Oushk send you 3 codes and you can still order as and when. People can also order three with different delivery dates or just do it monthly

I placed an order with Zava at 6pm on Wednesday this week. It was approved at 8.30 the next day and delivered to me yesterday (Friday) morning.
I've never had such a quick delivery!

Tireduk · 21/09/2024 09:08

Azuresky68 The Family Chemist are offering a maintenance opt back in plan. NewLifter Oushk offer 3 types of maintenance. They’re both very different. From what I’ve read and can remember, Family Chemist, as long as you’ve had a history with them, will enable you to go back to them and request pens if you put ‘substantial’ weight back on. Basically they get you back in, although they don’t state what substantial weight is?Is that a BMI back at 30, I’m going to try to ask them. Oushk offer 3 types of maintenance, from a £20 subscription to buying pens.. see below. Although it’s £20 for nothing, it keeps the option open and you can swap every 3 months so could do the titration down, then the £20. With the other 2 plans you also get 15% off and the catch ups. I’ve not been on Oushk, so I don’t know what the catch ups are like. I’m at BMI 31, but trying to work out what I will do for maintenance, although still a long way to go. I want ideally limited or no cost but the option if things did go dreadfully the wrong way. If you join the conti plan, will they still automatically send you the pens, I don’t know? When you sign up for Oushk, do you sign up for automatic pens? That would put me off..

With medexpress for tour 2nd pen do tou have to do another request? Just start over and submit all details?

Can you use a £40 off code on tour 2nd pen too?

Thr £40 medexpress discount is a new customer only thing, no discounts on subsequent orders unfortunately.

If you go to your orders, you can 're order'

Have to say although Medexpress were quick and easy with my last order, I am not overly impressed, instagram is absolutely rife with people pushing thier medexpress discounts.

I noticed they havnt sent a letter to my GP like other pharmacies do as well.
I dont think ill be using them again

Azuresky68 · 21/09/2024 11:34

@Tireduk, thanks for that detailed information. It is really helpful. I am at the same BMI as you, on week 5 - just started on 5 mg for 5th dose. Losing on average around 1 7 pounds a week, which is fine, because by now I might have given up. I would like the same option as you - to back on MJ if I start gaining again. Maybe there will be more on offer when I am near 25 BMI. I watched a live on FB from Oushk pharmacist where she described the 3 options for maintenance, but I don't think she mentioned £20 subscription. Guess soon we will need a new thread about maintenance. Good luck with your weight loss.

It's a shortened form the second time.

No to your last question.
