Hi all,

Thought I would start a thread for those that started quite early on and would like a space to chat with others that started around the same time. Like the threads that are dedicated to those starting in May, June, July etc thought it would be nice to have a space for people have have been on for similar amount of time.

@Wonkypictureframe how old are you? I have Tanita scales and their body fat target is higher if you are older.

I am still not at 34% which is the tarhet for my age. But I am only 5 years off 60 and I am within the healthy range for a 60 year old. So I just need to wait 5 years!

What an excellent graphic! I am within the healthy range (just) on there. That’s made my day.

guestusername · 14/09/2024 12:52

I bought a size 12 jumper this morning!! I picked up a 14 to start with and it looked huge so I took a chance with the 12 and it fits perfectly 😀

Kinda makes up for my crap weight loss this week. 3/4 of a lb. I’m determined to see my weight start with an 11 by my next weigh 🤞

KrankyKumquat · 14/09/2024 13:06

@Choux @Wonky Yes it's good isn't it, nice to see age being considered, although can't help feel a bit sorry for men in their 60's who have to get down to 25! This explains my 67yr old OH who's coming out as an obese fatty on our renpho scales, even though he's 5'9'' and 11st! He's gutted 😅
I'm at bmi 25 and fat % is still 34%. Like you @Wonky , I know my abdomen is still flabby but top of my thighs are worse - they've gone all dimply as I've lost weight. I'm assuming subcutaneous fat is being lost in chunks maybe and it'll smooth more as I lose more but it's not exactly pretty in the meantime.
I shared this a while back - a more sophisticated bmi calculator which also considers age and health impacts at different weights. I like it 'cause it says I'm perfect just the way I am!

NSV for me this morning. Going up to Scotland on hols next week so getting the fleeces out of storage and I see my old and favourite walking trousers - tried them on with 🤞and they fit! Can’t believe how happy I was. I hate my larger ones- they were so frumpy!

MoreThanJustANumber · 14/09/2024 13:27

I've been buying two pens at a time from Bolt and they have said I can buy two of the 15mg but having asked them about the expiry date they say it's October 2024.

Has anyone had one with a different date or is there going to be a shortage do you think?

KrankyKumquat · 14/09/2024 13:36

@MoreThanJustANumber
Oushk were expecting longer dated 15s last Monday and had removed all Oct ones from sale as didn't have 6 weeks left on them. Not sure if they arrived, certainly no suggestion of shortage.

Brilliant!

Clothes remain a headache for me as I have never been this slim as an adult. Some of my clothes are OK/better now but bottom halves particularly are an issue. I need to hammer Vinted and am paralysed by choice. But my own really good walking trousers are now unwearable which I’m perversely sad about! And all my pyjamas were always deliberately baggy so my nightwear options are very small and I won’t get those secondhand.

KeepingUndercover · 14/09/2024 14:13

I did my second clothes shop since losing weight recently. My first lot of smaller trousers can now be taken off without undoing any buttons and if I put my phone in the pocket I worry they'll fall down from the weight!

I have got a new coat and some jeans on Vinted but I really struggle buying clothes without trying them on because sizing is inconsistent and my shape is a bit tricky. The pair of jeans I got fit but they're a bit low rise on me so it's a wriggle into them. I also did some proper new clothes shopping and that was much more successful. Luckily I can get away with a tiny wardrobe as I'm not going out to an office or anything. People won't notice if I wear the same pair of trousers all winter!

ObsidianTree · 14/09/2024 15:49

Just went to try on clothes in M&S and was surprised!

The jeans are a size 12 and fit well so decided to buy a pair. The jeans jacket is a size 10!! I do think M&S must have vanity sizing. No way would I ever have thought I could be a size 12... Let alone a size 10! I did try on the size 12 jeans jacket but it was actually too big! I don't feel like I'm that small!!

Also went to primark and tried on a few jumpers. The M seemed big but the S I felt was too short on the body. Maybe my head hasn't caught up with my body! I suppose I'm used to buying XL in Primark that the thought that I could even be a Medium is so weird to me! So weird getting used to trying to clothes that fit and that are even too big!

ObsidianTree · 14/09/2024 15:58

Well done for all the clothes NSVs recently! Looks like a lot of us are hitting sizes we never believed we could get to!

I think you're right about your head not catching up with your body because you definitely look slim! If I was asked to guess your size I would have said 10-12 but not one bit above that.

It's weird isn't it? What you see in the mirror not reflecting what you had grown used to seeing.

Congratulations 🎊

ObsidianTree · 14/09/2024 16:20

Thanks ☺️

Yes it's so weird! Would would never say I looked a size 10/12!

Maybe my head will catch up at some point!

My husband received his from Oushk on Wednesday and that’s 02/25

Anyone else feeling cold again?

I thought I was past that but guess i'm not! Later this evening I am going to get my electric bed warmer out and put it on my bed. Looking forward to getting warm and snuggly!

Well done everyone on the good progress and NSVs.
I went into the office yesterday for first time in maybe 6 weeks, so asked my daughter to take a pic since I wasn't in jeans for once! Was a bit stressed wondering what to wear but found these old trousers. Surprised to find my shoes were a lot more comfy having been previously too tight! Slightly annoyed my feet have lost weight when I'm still carrying a stone or so of fat on my belly....if only we could choose where it came off from!
I've not bought any new clothes yet, as I shopped my loft, but I'm really short on tops and do need some work trousers so ordered a size 12/14 with elasticated waist from Halara after repeated Facebook adverts. I hope they fit as I can't imagine being a 12/14! Again it's the brain catching up issue I think because I don't think I look anything like my latest photo in real life.
(Excuse me holding the cardi back, trying to show slimmer shape which is hard wearing my size 16 tops still!)

Yes! Last couple of nights had to sleep in my fleecy kaftan!!!

Wonkypictureframe · 14/09/2024 18:29

@NCfor24 brilliant! You look great.

I am freezing. Currently wrapped in a furry heated blanket.

Choux · 14/09/2024 21:10

Freezing here too. Spent two hours in my coat earlier on an air conditioned train and have now been home for two hours but haven't taken it off yet. Going to get into bed soon.

KrankyKumquat · 14/09/2024 21:23

@Choux
OH says it's not cold enough to put the heating on so I'm off to bed. 9.30 on a Saturday - rock and roll.

Choux · 14/09/2024 21:31

I hope you told him you have less fat to keep you warm now and he should be a bit sympathetic. Although heating in September does feel wrong...

Wonkypictureframe · 14/09/2024 21:42

I’m having lots of hot baths! I’ve also though found them less comfortable as my tailbone and spine feel quite bony now.

CormorantStrikesBack · 14/09/2024 22:16

@NCfor24 at what point did you ask medexpress to price match? Did you email before placing an order or after?
