Hi all,

Thought I would start a thread for those that started quite early on and would like a space to chat with others that started around the same time. Like the threads that are dedicated to those starting in May, June, July etc thought it would be nice to have a space for people have have been on for similar amount of time.

Definitely titrate back down to 12.5mg. you can take 12.5mg from the 15mg pen. Couldn't tell you how many clicks that would be though!

Generally, those symptoms mean that your dose is too high and you should move back down until 12.5mg is no longer working for you.

Thank you, that’s sensible!

yorkypuds · 24/08/2024 13:52

My difficulty is that I completely tolerated all the doses until I was really unwell! It isn't like the side effects got worse!
I think I will go to 5mg tomorrow (about 10 days after last dose) and be very careful with my diet and see what happens. I cannot be poorly again like that though!
I've got a brand new 12.5mg in the fridge which is annoying!

@MikanOrange
48 clicks will give you a 12mg dose, 60 clicks a 15mg dose with a 15mg pen so somewhere in between?

ChristmasLightsLover · 24/08/2024 15:40

I'm here! Super late. But here :)) Off to read the thread. Thank you for organising us @ObsidianTree x

@ObsidianTree 5 stone 😱😱😱- you'll have to share pics on fb!!! Massive well done.

My holidays are almost over and tbh I've had enough of eating and drinking! Ready to go home and assess the damage and go back to eating well and going to the gym!

Exitstrategist · 24/08/2024 16:37

Wow I cannot believe you have lost five stone! I thought I was doing amazingly well with my 2 stone in about the same amount of time. Congratulations

ObsidianTree · 24/08/2024 17:15

Lol thanks but this is since Jan when I was 17st 6lbs and started on Keto. When I started MJ I was 16st 3lbs. So on mj I've lost 3st 11lbs I think! Sorry should have made that clearer!

I need to take some current pics! Soon I will post some comparasion pics. Although I only started taking pics when I started MJ.

I just weighed myself (yes, I did bring my scales, but haven’t had access to them till today) and I’ve stayed the same this week. I’ve jabbed today but I’m pretty sure there’s a chance it got to 30 degrees in the car at some point as it’s been hot, so who knows how effective it will be. Part of me hopes not that effective as it would be quite nice to have a bit more of an appetite here where I can enjoy the food more. But there’s nothing I can do to make a difference so let’s see.

ineedmoresleepnow · 24/08/2024 18:28

Is anyone suffering much from hair loss? I'm really noticing it now and hating it. I do remember in an earlier thread there was talk of collagen and I've just been looking at it but there are so many. I would be so grateful for any recommendations on type and dose.

Ohhawtdang · 21/08/2024 23:22

It’s been hellishly busy here

I’m now on 7.5

no side effects.

some hunger suppression but overruled by food noise which is defo back. This is making me quite sad.

we went away for four days. Walked loads, really active. Ate whatever there was but in no giant quantities.

scales say up 4. My first gain since starting.

I am utterly deflated. I’m destined to be fat and at the mercy of my food addiction forever aren’t I.

I was so sure I was cured. I almost miss being unable to eat at all when I had full blown nausea

I hear you @Ohhawtdang
I've just taken my 3rd 7.5mg jab tonight. Taken 12 hours early as I have really struggled this last week or so with lack of suppression and increased food noise.
I'm battling it, and haven't given in, but no real loss in the last week despite starting walking 5km a day on top of my reduced calories.
Really hoping todays dose leaves me with another increase in willpower 🤞🤞
On the upside no bad side effects. It almost makes me wonder if it's working at all 😢
I will keep on though and try not to lose the faith.
Hope we see some results soon. Good luck x

Are you not eating enough each day? I haven’t had any hair loss on Mounjaro, but I did have hair loss in the past when I went on a starvation diet (many moons ago, would never now). I take a multivitamin / iron / calcium / omega daily to be on the safe side.

CiderJabs · 24/08/2024 18:41

@ineedmoresleepnow I have tried a few and my favourite one is the unflavoured bovine collagen from my protein. I sometimes mix it with my clear whey protein drink and sometimes I add it to juice or a smoothie. It doesn't smell funny and has no taste.
I can send you a £10 off code if you want to try it.

I've started to notice a fair bit of shedding this past week. My hair is already quite fine so I'm hoping it doesn't get too bad. I have some some collagen I put off using because it's absolutely rank and fishy (it's marine collagen, liquid) but I'm going to force it down from tomorrow.

ineedmoresleepnow · 24/08/2024 19:36

Hi. Yes definitely eating enough, average around 1200 cals which is right for me and have never had hair loss on that before, but it's been pretty bad now for the last month.
I would love your code thank you ciderjabs and thanks all for the recommendations.

ObsidianTree · 24/08/2024 19:51

Ok got some pics today. The front view is a pic from early Feb when I was about 16st 6lbs and I had lost about a stone by then. Think this was my pic I took to give to Asda to order.

The side view earliest I had was from April. As that's the earliest I decided to get a side view pics. Also todays side view is completely side on. Cba to retake

I think I still have a way to go!

What dose are you on? For me, it coincides with going onto 10mg.

If it is that in my case it should stop soon as I'm only 1.9lbs from goal and I'll be reducing to a maintenance dose in the next couple of weeks.

I'll update on it again in a month or so.

Haha thanks. I was thinking my legs look great 🤣

I took a comparison pic a month ago in leggings that were too big and they were super baggy! I bought some Primark medium leggings today! (Wearing in today's pic). Attached anyway! Look at that saggy bottom! Bye bye butt! 🥲

Pic attached from July
