SW 12 st 4 lbs
Week 9 -1/2lb
CW 10 st 9.5 lbs
TL -22.5 lbs

Only half a lb this week, and only 1.5 in the last 3, so having to remind myself..

A loss is a loss
It's still going down
The initial weight loss was probably never going to be sustainable more so at a lower starting weight
I've lost a stone and a half in 9 weeks!!!!!
I'm fitting into clothes I haven't worn for years
Slower loss will be better for my peri menopausal skin
My BMI has gone from obese to overweight, only 6 more lbs to normal

On to week 10 🙂

NippyCrab · 23/08/2024 20:12

Hey, 3lbs off today, that's 6.5 on MJ since 5th August and I'm 1st 2lbs off in total since January. 3 stone to go xx

Timeforicecream · 23/08/2024 23:54

Hi all, great inspiration here. So much so I’ve just ordered the injections.

SW- 13.6
GW-10.7

I am a massive carbs/sugar fiend. I really hope that this works for me mostly to take away the urge to just eat crap all the time. I honestly can’t remember the last time I ate a normal plate of decent food. It’s been take aways, Greggs for lunch, Crisps and chocolate for tea and then maybe another Greggs for dinner or a quick nip to the shop for an ice cream.

Fingers crossed it works and I lose weight in time for a trip away with DH

DietStartsM0NDAY · 24/08/2024 07:15

I'm taking my 3rd dose of 7.5mg so I think that makes it my 11th week?

SW 97kg
CW 87.9kg

Really pleased with this as it has covered quite an extensive holiday period. Have started some exercise in the last week - just walking at present, but aiming to increase as the weeks go on to include some resistance training.
Need to write down the results sometimes to see the bigger picture.
The last week has been tougher with more food noise, but I know that managing this is key to the future so trying to take the rough with the smooth!
Well done everyone on some great losses.
Good luck @Timeforicecream on your journey to being a healthier you!

Starting weight: 86kg
Current weight: 78.5kg (currently in week 7)

Annoyingly, nobody has commented on it.

I’ve found this too - I’ve lost just under 2 stone in 5 months (very slow) but no one has commented.
I told my friend I was on a diet and she said she thought I’d lost weight but knows that you shouldn’t comment on someone’s weight in any way now. So maybe that’s a thing now?

The only person who has commented was my manager who walked in having not seen me for a few months and asked if I’d lost a ton of weight as looked great. I had previously told him I was on a diet so he may just have been being nice.

I know it shouldn’t matter what others think but it’d be nice to think it’s noticeable!

NeedSomeAnswersPlease · 27/08/2024 09:15

Start weight- 20s11lbs on 12 August
Current weight - 19s10.6lbs

Overjoyed. This is the lowest I've gotten ever!!! I've just come off a flight and a heavy weekend too so I expected to see a gain!

I weighed myself in the 9th of August and started my pen a few days later when it got delivered.

Sw. 17st 4lb
Cw. 16st 6lb

I have had a tiny bug the last 24 hours but I'm pet sure what I'm losing in replacing with foods so who knows. I'll weigh again next week.

I'm still 16stone 6 after recovering from the stomach bug so I'm happy with that add I am well aware that I literally had nothing left inside me and was pretty dehydrated too. Had my 3rd dose yesterday so getting ready to order my 5mg a.

9/8- 17st 4
27/8 16.st 6

Pretty happy with that tbh. I don't think I'll believe it until I get down to 15 stone though 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

pamplemoussed · 28/08/2024 08:42

Am 16 weeks in and still sitting on 5mg. My appetite is suppressed so I didn't feel the need to move up.
SW 16st 2lb
CW. 12st 12lb
TW - dunno- perhaps another 8lb?

I am 5ft 7. My BMI is ‘still’ on the high / overweight side, around 29. But based on how I look and feel, clothes size etc I don’t think I need to lose for much longer and am starting to think I will move to maintenance in 4-6 weeks. It’s almost unfathomable to me that I could or should lose another 2 stone to get my bmi down to 25. Anyone else suspicious about BMI levels?

CrystaltipsnoAlistair · 28/08/2024 12:11

Totally agree @pamplemoussed at my recommended BMI I would be a bag of bones 🦴
I am going to just go with clothes size and to be honest any weight off in your fifties helps the joints so win win.
Currently on 5mg still 15 weeks in and have lost 53lbs which is just short of a sack of spuds 🥔.
That blew my mind I was carrying that with another sack to go !!!!

I am 5’7 and just into a ‘healthy BMI’ at 11.25 stone. I feel like I want to get below 11 stone before stopping, but that will put me at the top range of healthy.

The calculator says I could lose another 3.5 stone from now, and still be in the healthy range!! I’d look ancient and can not see how that’d be healthy?

BatFacedGirlll · 28/08/2024 21:12

Just sharing my up to date progress

SW 14 stone 12 lbs

CW 10 stone 7 lbs

GW Not sure yet. Maybe 9 stone 12.

I've lost 4 and a half stone so far, started in April and I'm 5 ft 3 and a half!

Photo 1 is me at about 14 stone
Photo 2 is about 12 stone
Photo 3 is 10 stone 7

Share your progress you amazing bunch!

I'm the same height as you and have gone from 220 pounds (BMI 35) to 160 pounds (BMI 25) and felt like this until I got to a healthy BMI.

I looked at others and realised how distorted my view of a healthy weight had been. I felt great and thought how slim and flat my stomach was (which it was in comparison!) but then you look at someone else and realise that while you are much healthier than before, there is still room to go.

At a BMI of 25 I'm still a size 12/14 (hourglass with massive boobs!) so maybe it's different for different body shapes?

olympicsrock · 30/08/2024 18:39

46 years old 168 cm ( 5,6)
SW 100kg ( 15 stone 10)
CW 84kg ( 13 stone 2)
GW 12 stone 7 ( was 13 but I am still wearing my size 18 clothes.

I have lost 16 kg or 36 lb in 4 months
pics from April and August BMI 34 to 29.8

I’m loving being on holiday in my bikini but the nausea and total lack of appetite is a bit rubbish and seems worse in the heat.
Also I’ve noticed that my arms thighs and Side boobs are getting a bit saggy. Having to tuck bits in …

BatFaceGrrrll · 30/08/2024 20:41

@InandOutlander I would agree with you. The temptation is to 'get off the train a stop too early' and it's mainly because we just can't imagine ourselves being 13 stone / 11 stone / 10 stone etc

BMI is perhaps a bit outdated and people often talk about how it's inaccurate for people who play rugby or carry a lot of muscle or whatever but for the everyday fatty (me!) it's probably about in the ballpark in my opinion

I felt rubbish at nearly 15 stone. I felt much better at 12 stone something - and I feel even better at 10 stone 7 - but I know it's not quite right yet.

I'm personally not chasing 8 stone something these days but I am aiming for 9 stone 10 or 12 because that's properly slim (for me and my height) yet healthy

CrystaltipsnoAlistair · 01/09/2024 10:50

Just wanted to share my joy 🤩 this morning as my first bag of spuds 🥔..56lbs or 4 stone has gone this morning after 16 weeks. I’m chuffed to bits. This stuff does work and has been easier than any diet ever with the food noise gone. Am still on 5mg and see no need to move up yet.
Next sack of spuds 🥔 to go. I’m losing one potato at a time 🤣 . It’s a long journey but these threads really help.
I agree re BMI - totally outdated.

ihatecoffee · 01/09/2024 20:09

In 5.5 months I've only lost 1 stone 10lbs!
13st 5 and am now 11st 9. I'm 5'6"
At my heaviest I was 14st 8 and started on Ozempic but that made me sooooo ill. I stayed off it for 8 months.
Now on MJ with no side effects whatsoever! Maybe fatigue and intense cold in the first couple of months, but no D&V at all thankfully...unlike Ozempic!

I'm currently on 12.5mgs.

I have, however, gone down three dress sizes...16-14-12 and yesterday I had to take a 12L pair of jeans back to M&S to get a 10L!!

With me it's clearly inches rather than actual weight!

This is fantastic!

I have just received a 7.5 pen, and I should have taken the first dose last week but I have still got no appetite whatsoever, so I’m waiting until tomorrow.

@ihatecoffee well done- If I had to choose, I’d change my size over my weight any day of the week- it’s what really matters and much healthier. I actually love your post so much- everything that should be the goal rather than the number on a scale.

Ah thank you so much!

I've been really down for the last few months as the scales were moving so slowly. I didn't lose a thing for nearly 8 weeks and was on the verge of giving up.

It was comments from colleagues at work and my husband saying I looked amazing and that kept me going! Even my gf (who doesn't know I'm on MJ) said she thought I must weigh about 10 stone, not 11st 9 as I look so slim!

You're right...it's the clothes size that I should focus on rather than the actual weight!

Thank you x

Pinkbendyman · 03/09/2024 14:20

Just wanted to share my joy - I’ve now lost a total of 3 stone since I started MJ in May. Only 10lbs more to lose before I reach a healthy BMI.

So proud of myself!

Well done everybody 🥳👏🎉
