Anyone happy to share some progress posts?
I think it's really motivational for us all, and also we deserve a little boast about our achievements.

I'll go first :)
Height 5ft 3
Start weight 14st
Now 12st 13.5
Have taken x4 2.5mg doses.

BMI has gone from 35.2 to 32.6 in three and a half weeks and I feel bloody over the moon!!

Just starting week seven (5'8).
SW: 240lbs
CW: 213lbs

27lbs lost and down from 37.3 to 33.1 BMI.

NSV:
I uploaded a full length photo of me out for drinks today. Previously, I wouldn't have asked someone to take one, never mind uploaded it to social media.

daffodilandtulip · 10/08/2024 21:54

8 weeks in with Mounjaro and I've lost 21lbs.

Rubyred3 · 10/08/2024 22:13

I've lost 30lbs in 18 weeks. Slower than I expected but I've been focused on eating healthily.

Have had a couple of stalls, which were eventually shifted through exercise and drinking more water. Plan to be off Monjaro by Christmas.

ToriMJ · 10/08/2024 22:31

These are all incredible!!

Great idea for a thread! My usual weigh in is a Friday along with a friend who's IF and I want to keep to that day. I've been trying (again) to lose since Jan this year.

Started on MJ 5th August.
SW: 13st 11.8lbs
CW: 13st 9.6lbs (weighed 9/8)
GW: 10st 7 lbs
I'm 5' 5" I'm not adding my BMI after my GP told me that BMI is based on a white male and doesn't take into consideration anything about women, meaning we have bums boobs and hips.

I'm jabbing today to bring my day eventually to a Friday, I could wait till Wednesday then do the next week on a Friday, a lovely MN poster suggested that, but if my side effects subside by day 4 I will be okay for my DH next rotation at home. He's bringing our new puppy home with him so i want to be on top form 😍

Tirzepatide · 11/08/2024 08:55

8 weeks and 17 lbs down
BMI gone from 41 to 38.1
Losses (lbs): 4.2, 1.5, 1.3, 2.9, 0.7, 2.4, 3.1, 0.9
Age 51
GW BMI 24 (100 lb loss)

Lumirubin · 11/08/2024 09:08

I'm in week 8, just taken my 4th 5mg dose.

SW 18st 1lb
CW 15 st 13.9lb

2 stone 1 gone in 8 weeks without feeling like I'm "on a diet" at all is just amazing! I've had some side effects, but all manageable, only had one wobble!

CrystaltipsnoAlistair · 11/08/2024 10:36

13 weeks in and weighed in 47lbs down this morning. I am eating well just smaller portions and gone off sweet things.
Long way to go but know I can do this with Mj. Am still on 5mg and hoping not to go up.

izzy2076 · 11/08/2024 10:37

I started on 11 March at 82kg and now weight 64.

JomonotFomo · 11/08/2024 10:46

I started 31st May on MJ.

Height 5ft5
SW 15st 12 (BMI 37)
current weight 13st 9 (BMI 31.8)
Total loss so far 31lb
currently on 5mg as struggling with side effects.

I am loving not being interested in food or alcohol after 25plus years of dieting and food obsession.

CrystaltipsnoAlistair · 11/08/2024 10:48

Totally agree@JomonotFomo . I’m 30 odd years of yo yo dieting. Wish this stuff had been around then.

BusinessSecretsOfThePharaoh · 11/08/2024 10:53

I think I’m a bit further on than most on this thread as I’ve been on Ozempic for just over a year now. Down 49kg/7st 10lbs.

Aiming for a 10st loss in total so still a way to go.

Not going to post my starting and current weight but BMI has gone from 50 (disgraceful, I accept) to 33 currently (aiming to get to <25)

CrystaltipsnoAlistair · 11/08/2024 10:57

Congratulations @BusinessSecretsOfThePharaoh That is awesome. You have done fantastically well.
These meds certainly work.

Snozzlemaid · 11/08/2024 11:16

@BusinessSecretsOfThePharaoh Wow! You're a real inspiration that I can do this too.
I had 8 stone to lose when I started, which seemed impossible. But your story gives me real hope it can be done.
2 stone down for me so far, so I'm on the way.

3wDavid · 11/08/2024 11:18

Started May 25th!

I am just completing week 11 today.
Dosing wise, I’ve done 5 weeks on 2.5 mg, 5 weeks on 3.75 mg and just as of Monday first week on 5 mg.

I am 5’7.
Starting Weight: 16 st 12.5 lbs / BMI: 37.1
Current Weight: 14 st 5 lbs / BMI: 31.5
Total loss so far: 35.5 lbs

I am now half-way through my Big Goal (which is a weight on the cusp of the Healthy category and something I’ve not seen in 10+ years)!

In this time I’ve found that it helps so much to have smaller goals along the way as if you have a lot to lose, like me, it can seem impossible! But in only 11 weeks, I’m already half way there, and I haven’t even dipped my finger into the higher (and supposedly) much more potent doses of MJ where most people report the biggest losses.

Well done you! That’s a great loss and you’re well on your way.

It’s hard, but worth it.

Ilovethewild · 11/08/2024 14:03

@BusinessSecretsOfThePharaoh amazing losses, well done!

sw 118.1
cw 111
gw 70kg

7.1kg in 4 weeks, started 5mg last week so looking forward to more losses.

i do struggle to eat much, food noises gone, no desire for sweets/chocs etc
I can happily sit with family in cafe, while they order burgers, fry ups and enjoy a cuppa tea.

wickerpram · 11/08/2024 14:21

Started mid May. I'm 5f9in.

SW: 95.5kg
CW: 85kg
GW: I don't know yet - definitely in the healthy BMI range but I'll see how I get on.

It's changed my life. I dieted before and been utterly miserable. This has felt easy and sustainable in comparison.
I've been open and honest to friends and family about what I'm doing and nearly everyone has been supportive and positive (...one person who happens to be very slim had some ignorant views about it).
I've always been sporty but I've struggled to get back into it since having babies as I couldn't shift the weight. Now I can run about and enjoy my sporty hobby again. I feel like the old me has returned and I generally have a spring in my step again.
Another positive (TMI) is it has rocked boosted my sex life with DH as I feel more confident about my self.
The only negative is the tiredness after the injection but I'm coping by going to bed early. I'm enjoying the crazy dreams side effects.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 11/08/2024 14:47

😲 Some amazing progress on here, well done!!

I’m 5ft2. Started 19th June. I'd lost 9 lbs on the Fast800 in the month before and just stalled - same pound on and off and on and off and...

My blood pressure is high. I was drinking every day, struggled to get up in the mornings and was generally unhappy with myself.

Starting weight on MJ was 16st12lbs. Am now on week 8 and my 4th dose of 5mg and have lost 24lbs!

5 is currently working BRILLIANTLY for me! I am not really having any side effects, have enough suppression that I am rarely hungry and yet can eat and enjoy meals when I want to.

More importantly though, I am no longer drinking daily (in fact, have only had wine with two meals out in the last 5 weeks!!!), have got rid of my Diet Coke problem and bounce out of bed every morning for a pre-breakfast dog walk! Oh, and I am going to the gym!

I reckon if I never lose another pound on this medication, I will stay on it for as long as I can simply for the positive changes it has brought to my life!!

Merryoldgoat · 11/08/2024 15:09

10 weeks in and 2st down.

7 ins off waist, 5ins off thighs

BMI was 53.7, now 48.9

I’m having a bad day today with nausea - actually vomited which has only happened a few times (and usually after significant overindulgence).

Took 3rd dose of 7.5 MJ on Friday.

MJqueen · 11/08/2024 20:02

This week is 5 months since starting.

SW: 120kg
CW: 91.6kg
Loss: 28.4kg

I'm 2.5 dress sizes down. Started at a large 22, now getting into 16s again.

GW: 75kg - 17kg to go!

I now go to the gym and look forward to being active. I started doing C25K and completed a 5km run on the treadmill without stopping a couple of weeks ago, and have been doing regular 5km walk/run sessions since. I don't get puffed going up a single flight of stairs at work. My skin is clear (thanks to a huge reduction in alcohol) and I sleep much better.

I would never have lasted this long without the medication. It makes it very easy to make good food choices and seeing the scales go down regularly is such a motivator. I feel like a brand new person.

CrystaltipsnoAlistair · 13/08/2024 09:21

So pleased for you @MJqueen bet you feel fab in your 16s. I have so many clothes I can’t wait to get in to. A lot with labels on I bought for “one day they’ll fit”.

ToriMJ · 13/08/2024 21:20

This is so inspiring Flowers

@CrystaltipsnoAlistair it is incredible. I'm not quite in 16s consistently yet but have some things I can wear. It's kind of annoying to have clothes that fit across 3 or 4 sizes...
