Anyone happy to share some progress posts?
I think it's really motivational for us all, and also we deserve a little boast about our achievements.

I'll go first :)
Height 5ft 3
Start weight 14st
Now 12st 13.5
Have taken x4 2.5mg doses.

BMI has gone from 35.2 to 32.6 in three and a half weeks and I feel bloody over the moon!!

Just posting to update after my weekly weigh in

I have lost 3lbs this week, taking my current loss to 15lbs in 3 weeks, my bmi has also dropped to under 30 at 29.7 for the first time in at least 8 years if not more.

absolutely delighted to have moved from obese to overweight.

I love seeing the progress everyone is making, and the support on this group.

Eminybob · 16/08/2024 06:57

Finally out of the obese category and "only" overweight 🎉

Starting BMI was 38, now 29.9.

Just over 6lb to go to hut my first mini goal, although another 2 stone to reach the healthy range.

Getting there though, baby steps.

Good morning, a wee 1.5lbs off for me today, dammit I wanted to see 13st 7lbs haha but that little 1/2 pound has scuppered that. 😂
This is my second week and I'm happy with that, I'm going to measure today too.

SW 13st 13.0lbs
CE 13st 8.0lbs
GW 10st 7.0lbs
Height 5' 5"

NeedSomeAnswersPlease · 16/08/2024 07:42

Another pound gone today, not expecting anymore losses until I'm back from my holiday now as I'm due on my period and flying! However I'm so so pleased, and really cannot believe that this is actually happening to me. I never thought I'd be able to live a life where food wasn't my only thought

ssd · 16/08/2024 08:22

Ive been reading up on MJ. Do you get it prescribed from your GP?

ssd · 16/08/2024 08:23

Ive got at least 3 stone to lose and haven't been able to stick to a diet as im an emotional eater

No, you have to get a private prescription from a pharmacy x

ssd · 16/08/2024 08:58

Ah right thanks. Is it just a case of finding a pharmacy that does it? Ive just been reading another thread where people are getting it delivered, now im not sure how/where to get it.

diian · 16/08/2024 09:10

ssd I have sent you a pm.

You do need to have a BMI over 30. You need to send photo ID, a full length photo and a photo of your weight whilst standing on the scales before Mounjaro will be prescribed.

It arrives in a plain box, no pharmacy labels, and with ice packs to keep it cool. If you look at one of the main threads of 'Continuing Mounjaro' the first post has a wealth of info and links to videos for injecting.

diian · 16/08/2024 09:18

Back to this thread, I have lost a further 1lb so have hit 1.5 stone lost today with 8 injections (2nd pen). I took my first 5mg dose this week after doing 3.75mg for the last couple of weeks. No side effects... phew!

I don't want to jinx anything, but so far I've found it pretty easy. I was expecting to be hit by a sudden and continual, overwhelming hunger and it just hasn't happened. I start to feel pretty hungry heading towards mealtimes but just a normal amount. I went 7 months without snacking or overeating and my body is just used to it now.

This is amazing reassuring! Well done.

I hope my eating pattern remains and I can just say "oh, I don't eat breakfast, just a bit of protein and salad for lunch..." etc
I love that I don't snack now. I WFH and have to walk through the kitchen from my office to the loo, and I only stop now to refill my water glass. I don't want to start doing the peeking in the fridge thing again!

ihatecoffee · 16/08/2024 09:23

I'm a very slow loser

Started March at 13st 5
Today am 11st 12

Am on 12.5 of MJ

The weight loss is sooooooo slow!

Last year I used Ozempic and the weight fell off really really quickly but I felt so ill
On MJ I've had no side effects whatsoever other than feeling cold

NCfor24 · 16/08/2024 09:33

I've lost 0.75lb this week which puts me at 1/4lb away from my first target weight of 11st.
I started mid-March at 14st.
This is my last "official" weigh in before we go away next week but I will absolutely weigh again and make sure I hit my target before we go 🤣
And then on my return I will set a new target weight of whatever I need to be to hit BMI 25. I've not looked yet as it never felt achievable but of course I know I can do it now!

PlinkyPlonkyDonkey · 19/08/2024 08:35

Today I reached the milestone of being overweight instead of obese 🥳

This was the first milestone I set myself - it's taken just over 7 weeks to lose 1 stone to get here.

I've lost two stone since April - the first stone took 3 months, using WeightWatchers and will power. The second stone took 7 weeks - so although it feels a bit sloooooow, it's actually quite fast, for me!

Another 2 stone to go to reach goal - maybe by Christmas...🎄

Always happy to share - I have before under another username for anyone who recognises my pics! I name change from time to time!

I'm short at 5'ft 3 and a bit and I started at 14 stone 12lbs back in April. I'm now 10 stone 11 lbs so have lost 4 stone 1lb

I love your outfit in pic #2...you look fab! 😍

ToriMJ · 20/08/2024 12:50

Well done @BatFaceGrrrll you look
terrific. Great loss. Fab losses @chouxchoux .
This medication should have been around 30years ago and maybe I wouldn’t have been fighting such a long weight battle.
I was super chuffed to hit 50lbs off on Sunday exactly 14 weeks after starting MJ. Next 50 to go….and I know I can do it.

BatFaceGrrrll · 20/08/2024 19:59

@EternalFatalist ah thank you! How are you getting on with it?

@EternalFatalist ah thank you! How are you getting on with it?

21 lbs down in 6.5 weeks and so very close to being in the 13s - I woke up this morning feeling happy and excited about how this is working for me. Still a long road ahead, but I am seeing progress and so looking forward to wearing some of my favourite outfits again.

BatFaceGrrrll · 20/08/2024 20:42

Ooh that's amazing! I was elated when I saw a 13 on the scales! And it's so nice to look forward to wearing lovely clothes again

locket2009 · 20/08/2024 20:48

10 weeks in 5 ft 3inchea

SW 13 st 9.5lb
CW 12 st 2.3lb

Loss 21lb

Bmi is down to 30.1 so not far to go until on the overweight rather than obese category !

Holiday next week though so currently wondering how I'll manage and also that my next pen gets delivered before we go!

TryingWegovy · 20/08/2024 20:52

Starting weight: 86kg
Current weight: 78.5kg (currently in week 7)

Annoyingly, nobody has commented on it.

WitchyBits · 20/08/2024 21:19

I weighed myself in the 9th of August and started my pen a few days later when it got delivered.

Sw. 17st 4lb
Cw. 16st 6lb

I have had a tiny bug the last 24 hours but I'm pet sure what I'm losing in replacing with foods so who knows. I'll weigh again next week.
