Anyone happy to share some progress posts?
I think it's really motivational for us all, and also we deserve a little boast about our achievements.

I'll go first :)
Height 5ft 3

Now 12st 13.5
Have taken x4 2.5mg doses.

I also have a box of clothes in size 14 living at back of cupboard 'just in case' I make it back down there. So far have just been in my 16s and then really needing to be in 18s.

I'm done now.
Started at 13st 7.8 and now maintaining at 10st 4. It took me 7 months and I've been off the drugs for just over 2 months now.
It has been life changing, best thing I've done for myself.

In March, I had a good clear out of all my size 10,12 and 14 clothes thinking that I would never wear any of them again. I took them to my local charity shop, but it was closed. Next charity shop was not accepting clothes donations that week, so I brought the bin bag of clothes home and put it in the summer house. It is still there! I am now 1.5 stones lighter and I reckon that bag might come in handy soon! Was it fate that I had to bring it home?

After spending so much on mounjaro, I cannot justify buying loads of new clothes when the bag contains good quality clothes, some barely worn. It will be fun trying them all back on!

Callmejudith · 14/08/2024 09:27

@diian definitely fate!

Amazing , how is maintenance going? Did you find a sudden return of the food noise?

I don't want to jinx anything, but so far I've found it pretty easy. I was expecting to be hit by a sudden and continual, overwhelming hunger and it just hasn't happened. I start to feel pretty hungry heading towards mealtimes but just a normal amount. I went 7 months without snacking or overeating and my body is just used to it now.

mjdle · 14/08/2024 13:47

@AhBiscuits that's really good to know! And well done on the loss and keeping it off!

seatallan · 14/08/2024 14:34

Week 15 on mounjaro for me, just gone up to 10mg.

33 and 5”2, was a size 8 until my late 20’s then I got ill (endo) and started using food as a reward for having a bad day 😂 I lost a lot of weight toward the end of lockdown 1 and have spent the last 4 years yo-yoing between 14.5 stone and 12 stone. I’ve had an overactive thyroid for the last 2 years and couldn’t shift any weight until I came off my meds and started mounjaro. I was actually gaining weight while eating 800-1200 cals a day on thyroid meds.

SW: 92.4kg
CW: 76.8kg
GW: 55-58kgish

Starting BMI: 36.5
Current BMI: 30.4
Target BMI: 22

Bought some summer clothes in March and they’re all far too big and I’m fitting back into clothes I almost stuck on Vinted last month! I’ve still had treats, meals out, takeaways and been on holiday but haven’t overindulged at all. It’s been great being able to turn down a biscuit and not think about dessert.

CW: 20s4

I'm well aware this week is all water weight, but I'm happy to see progress already!!

CrystaltipsnoAlistair · 14/08/2024 20:09

Well done great start @NeedSomeAnswersPlease How are you feeling?
I was amazed at how the food noise literally disappeared overnight. I’ve been on Mj 13 weeks and haven’t overeaten once. Never been like this before.

Fab losses @seatallan Thyroid meds are tough weight wise. My friend put on 4 stone in 3 months with an overactive thyroid medication.

chickpea1982 · 14/08/2024 20:18

Wow - your results are amazing! I'm currently considering starting Mounjaro, but need to wait until I stop breastfeeding. I'm interested to know whether you are consciously trying to eat well at the same time as taking the injections. Are you "dieting", or is it more that the injections make it easier to eat less so it happens without so much conscious effort?

Merryoldgoat · 14/08/2024 20:31

I’m on Keto with Mounjaro and it helps keep my appetite at bay.

I’ve had days off but been able to recommit very quick afterwards.

Very pleased with my weight loss now. Just over 2 stone in 11 weeks is really good for me.

Honestly fine!! A little nauseous in the morning but nothing unbearable! I've found I've had a headache too towards the end of the day but I think that's more adjusting to my lower calories and caffeine intake! I'm excited to step up to 5mg already as I've noticed a few bits of food noise creeping in but it's nothing unbearable, I can easily push it down

Before MJ I knew what foods I should eat, but all the bad food just kept going round in my head so I couldn't make the right choices.

Snozzlemaid · 14/08/2024 21:25

But now MJ allows me to make the right choices and I don't miss the endless crisps and chocolate I used to eat at all.

I'm making an effort to eat healthier

I’m the same @NeedSomeAnswersPlease . I get nauseous in the morning but it dies away in about an hour or so. I have been on 5mg a while.
So far I don’t feel any need to move up.
The urge to eat crap and raid the fridge for treats is a distant memory.

I've had a couple waves of hunger but it's been really easy to "turn it off" so to speak, and just get on with my day. I'm only on day 2 of 2.5mg so I don't think that's too surprising!

BatFaceGrrrll · 14/08/2024 23:02

Always happy to share - I have before under another username for anyone who recognises my pics! I name change from time to time!

I'm short at 5'ft 3 and a bit and I started at 14 stone 12lbs back in April. I'm now 10 stone 11 lbs so have lost 4 stone 1lb

Thank you - it has felt remarkably quick, although mostly my weekly losses are around the 2lb mark. Sharing those here in case it's of interest! (DNW = did not weigh - I was moving house that week!)

chouxchoux · 15/08/2024 12:54

Wouldn't let me include in my post, weird!

Green are losses, red are gains.
