It's in the fridge and I'm going to take the plunge on Monday!
Feeling really nervous about it all. Anyone due to start next week too?

I think you are wise… did the hard twist & stuck the needle back in, and for the first time I have a huge raised lumpy bruise about 2cm. Bit worried I have injected air or something. It doesn’t hurt but looks grim. I won’t be doing that again! Well done on the fantastic loss…

ha ha, realised that was a typo, loss was 0.5kg, but total was 5.5. although as of today it was 5.9kh. 1.1kg and i have hit milestone 2...

I finally feel in better control. took some fibrogel thingy and 6 prunes last evening and this morning it's all good. This plus water really is the key to keeping everything moving. digestion wise and weight wise.

I'm with you all too with the food ideas, although i have lots of nice meats, mackerel and some bits and pieces that I ca either put in a wrap or make a salad

I got this book a while ago, to deal with the boredom and samey samey ness of WFH. It has a few recipes that I liked and they structure them so that you cook several dishes in a week and they all cover like 3 days

It's not lo cal, but I am sure you can work out what to tweak etc, it's the mental load that I was trying to relieve!

ACEwards · 08/08/2024 16:25

Week 3, day 5/6/7 and the indigestion has hit me HARD!! No amount of Gaviscon is working so I think I'll start back on my Omprezole I have in my cupboard for emergencies. It's just so depressing as it's so uncomfortable I literally don't know what to do with myself 😪. If it's not pain from indigestion it's heartburn and trapped wind... my stomach is not happy

Hi all. Been a busy week and was feeling a bit flat so not been online. I’m doing ok, slow and steady and telling myself to be patient.

I’m on week 3 day 5 and finally got a half stone loss. Have had such a busy time with social things so not eating super low cal, probably about 4-500 under TDEE. It’s been good to see that this level still allows for weight loss. And the mental changes remain great, food features so much less in my thoughts! Went to book group last night and as usual there was a huge spread of cheese, dips etc. I had some, then was happily done, and despite the food being there on the table, it didn’t call to me once.

I take the first 5mg on Saturday morning so will update. Been ok with symptoms this month so hoping this continues.

This sounds great, a steady loss whilst eating what you feel satisfied with is the dream

Ouch!
Yes sounds like the omeprazole is the way to go until it settles

I never know how many I'm feeding each day. Do those meal boxes provide for a fixed number?

ChaChaChooey · 08/08/2024 20:50

It’s 4 weeks today since I took the photo of my feet on the scales to send to Zava and I am now 8kg (17lbs) lighter.

I’m currently wearing the biggest of my favourite (non stretch, ultra high waist retro jeans) and not only did I not have to lay flat to zip them up, but they are noticeably loose all over.

(still quite a way off my absolute favourite jeans which are two sizes smaller than the ones I’m wearing today but I will be content even if I never quite get back into those - I’m trying to be realistic about living with a little extra midlife weight so if I’m not wearing them by March 2025 I’ll set them free as part of my spring clean)

Thank you all for being inspirational, supportive and very funny (especially Tori
who is very good at replying to nearly every post).

Here’s to the next 4 weeks ♥️

17lb in 4 weeks is amazing @ChaChaChooey

Yes you choose how many nights a week and how many portions per meal

That's an incredible weight loss, you must be over the moon!!! I don't know about you, but I feel almost emotional over seeing numbers on the scales that I chased for so long with so much effort and stress and feeling almost like I can't believe that it's happening in such a manageable way.
I think I'd actually just given up ever being able to do it, so seeing it happen feels like a tiny miracle.
I do think we deserve a photo of the absolute favourite jeans in action when you get there in a few weeks time!

Morning losers 😁

sw 118.1
cw 111

lost 7.1kg in 4 weeks.
only lost .3kg this week. It was my 4th/last 2.5 jab and I had some belly discomfort this week, and didn’t feel the losses I had previously which was correct as .3 is a loss but not much! I didn’t use the extra jab.

took 5mg jab today so hope for a boost loss.

good luck to others

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 09/08/2024 08:17

Stalled again. This last
Bit Is coming Off super Slow

I've been reading about it and they say stalled diets can last a few weeks so Not to give up.

I have 6 weeks as will use my spare dose this week. Then start my new pen in my fridge. That's another 5
Weeks. Hopefully then I can loose slowely the last 6kg. If
Not I will order a new pen.
Appetite suppression is ok tbh so it's Not that.

Bloody Annoying tho

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 09/08/2024 08:17

@Ilovethewild

Glad to see
Your
Update

Im4th week and exactly the same

DamnItBetsy · 09/08/2024 08:33

End of week 3 and I’ve gain 1.2lbs. No reason why, eating has been the same as the other weeks.

Will do my final 2.5mg plus the extra and order a 5mg pen.

My losses have been:
week 1 - 2.4lbs
week 2 - 1.4lbs
week 3 - gained 1.2lbs

SW - 12st 1.8
CW - 11st 12.6
GW - 10st 5

So total loss in 3 weeks is 2.6lbs. Less than a pound a week! I will be sticking with it though. I expected slower losses as I don’t have so much to lose. Starting BMI was 27, not the usual required 30, but I was approved as I have a health condition. I’m optimistically aiming for a 1.5lb loss a week, which should get me to 10st5 and a BMI of 23 by Christmas.

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 09/08/2024 08:47

@DamnItBetsy

Same. I wasn't over 30 either and it's now slow
Going I think my body thinks it's at set point and wants to cling on. I'm
Determined to go back to my wedding weight of 10.4lb. Currently 10.10lb.

With Clothes On I Look ok now but underneath my tummy holds all the fat and looks terrible.

I can tell
My shape is shifting though
I'm getting clothes done up again and tops are no longer tight around the shoulders.

We can do this!!!

We sound quite similar. I agree with the set point thing, my body seems convinced it needs to be 12 and a half stone, over the last few years that’s where it seems to ping back to. Funny you say you’re aiming for your pre-wedding weight, that’s exactly what I’m doing. I was 10st 5 on my wedding day 20 years ago!

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 09/08/2024 08:56

@DamnItBetsy

I've also been constipated all this week which prob isn't helping the numbers. Sorry if tmi.

Not to town today and will get some prunes Apparently the baby food pouches are good and I can mix it into a smoothie.

😆

I don’t think I’ve been able to do them up since 2016! Maybe I could blame Trump or Brexit or something?

I will genuinely get rid of them if I’m not in them by spring - I’ll buy them again in the next size up and be done with it.

I have an enormous amount of vintage clothing that I haven’t been able to fit in for a while (and felt so crappy about my appearance that I didn’t want to dress up much anyway).
Damn these comfortable, paint splattered sweat pants for nursing me through bereavement and divorce but not being tight enough to signal the need to put the cake down sooner.

If I’d been wearing jeans most days it definitely wouldn’t have crept up so much.

The best thing about such a good first month is my joints genuinely feel so much better already, especially my knees.

ACEwards · 09/08/2024 09:16

@ChaChaChooey you make such a good point about noticing the weight more if you had stayed in jeans... I think that absolutely applies to me!! In my younger days I'd squeeze into skinny jeans and I'd be uncomfortable but at least I knew when I was gaining weight.

My middle child has ADHD and Autism and is really funny about clothes and how they feel. The more I learn about him, the more I think he's inherited it from me. As the years have gone on, I can't stand clothes that 'touch' me, therefore been buying baggier and baggier clothes and not really noticing they've been getting bigger 🫣

gimmemounjaro · 09/08/2024 09:47

Anyone ordered a second pen from MedExpress recently and know how long they are currently taking?

We are away on hols, get home late on Sunday, due to inject Monday but Tuesday / Wednesday would be ok. I ordered late last night in the hope of delivery early next week.

Anyone know what happens if you're not in to receive delivery? Last time I didn't get any notification that they had approved or dispatched it, so it was just luck that I was in.

Jfw82 · 09/08/2024 12:48

Did 4th jab on Weds and today I've reached 5kg/11lbs down. A good place to be before heading off on hols for 2 weeks tomorrow Smile

I'm sticking with 2.5mg and taking my next one with me. Am going to find it hard not being able to weigh daily but hopefully I come back if with no loss then only minimal gain

If it’s any help I managed 5 days in Paris and managed to still lose 0.5kg despite having wine & cheese, just much smaller amounts than I would have done before. Think positive :-)

That’s still a brilliant loss in 4 weeks. I can barely swing a 7kg kettlebell, think that’s how much less of you there is now! You must feel brilliant :-)
