It's in the fridge and I'm going to take the plunge on Monday!
Feeling really nervous about it all. Anyone due to start next week too?

It had better work! I'll be crushed if it doesn't. I have lost weight before but it comes back. So I'm anxious to get down to a good weight and give myself a break. I'm considering eating disorder counselling to really change my feelings about food

Kaffiene · 13/07/2024 21:46

Can I join too. Had my first dose this morning. Not sure if I feel any different. Trying not to over think it, I don’t want to replace food noise with MJ noise :-)

hotcrossbun99 · 13/07/2024 21:54

Mine is being delivered tomorrow, I can't wait!

Aitchtee · 14/07/2024 07:23

I ordered mine yesterday from zava but haven’t heard anything since. The transaction definitely went through though. So impatient and desp to get started!

Good luck! I started 15th June, one whole stone down already, weight loss expected to slowdown now but I’m delighted at this boost.

I’ve found to get the best suppression and weight loss, and to have most energy is simple, always eat healthy. Lots of protein and fruit and veg, this seems to work well with the medication and any potential side effects.

Great news to read. Just what I needed to hear.

Can I join - I did my first injection yesterday. Have been just as hungry and eating the usual rubbish until this afternoon, so 24 hrs after. Now I'm not at all hungry even though I haven't had any dinner.

I was glad to hear of the PP's DD who feels a bit sad for a couple of days as I have been pretty irritable and emotional today 😬

Hopefully that will be better tomorrow 🤞

Well done for getting started. How are you feeling today?

Hi there
I did my first injection today 💉

I’m feeling ok so far, and could only eat half of my dinner this evening

I’m feeling positive

Sounds like it kicked in fast! How is today going?

I started this week. So far all good. Some appetite suppression and tiredness. I injected before going to bed.

Sounds like a good start, keep us posted

I feel the same, desperate and stuck

Seems to be a bit of variation in time. Did it get approved yesterday? Or do you need photos and stuff?

So I started on Friday afternoon with my first injection
honestly I’m not hungry at all although I could definitely reach for food just out of habit/boredom
Instead I have cleaned out 3 cupboards to keep me busy lol
i have on and off felt queasy
Feeling full of energy though which is strange so I’m going for lots of walks
Love these threads and already feel like there is a lot of support

I love that you're feeling energised. I wonder if there's something in it, maybe I read somewhere that it helps release energy?

I'm sitting looking at my first injection as I psych myself up to start.

I had a 'hearty' breakfast (egg on toast) as if I'm some sort of condemned woman 😂

Actually, I have long Covid (3 years now - hence the weight gain) and have not been feeling great this last week so been waiting to find a day when I didn't feel terrible as I don't want to assume I have MJ side effects when it might just be long Covid symptoms.

Right, time to set my pen up and get prepared....injection on the horizon.

Yes there must be
i am away out for my 3rd walk today
my poor dog is wandering what’s going on lol

HundredMilesAnHour · 14/07/2024 13:59

Ok, I've done it! I have officially started. It was pretty straightforward apart from I didn't realise you'd have to turn the pen so much to get to the 1. And then I managed to stab myself in the finger when putting the used needle in the sharps bin. 😂

gimmemounjaro · 14/07/2024 14:32

I'm on full day 2 having injected late on Friday afternoon - more settled emotionally thankfully, no other side effects and still not hungry.

I have made myself eat lunch today as I hadn't eaten for 24 hrs, but could easily have skipped. Weirdly there's not much difference in how I felt before eating and now, there's a sort of baseline pleasantly full feeling whether you eat or not.

One thing it doesn't seem to help with is making good choices so I need to keep working hard at that bit.

I put photos in the chat part and it hasn’t been approved as yet! My bmi is definitely high enough so no worries there 😅 but hopefully it gets approved tomorrow. Maybe they are all off watching the football!

ToriMJ · 14/07/2024 17:27

Ah yeah maybe they only look at them in a weekday, let's hope they aren't off Monday after the football!

That's good to know
I hate the feeling of being too full when you feel stuffed so pleasantly full would be nice, I'd hate to feel stuffed all the time
