Have lost over 3 stone now and about 20 lbs or so from goal

All on 2.5mg. I've chosen not to titrate up

Fantastic! You’re properly slim now. You look great.

Tipster100 · 26/07/2024 19:44

Great pic! Can't believe you've still
Got a stone to go. Well done. Such a big change to your BMI.

Ifonlyiweretaller · 26/07/2024 22:38

Such a positive and informative thread @SuperBatFace, thanks.

I was on Wegovy for 3 weeks and it really had very little effect. My twin who is type 2 diabetic (not sure how I dodged that one) has a great diabetic nurse who put her on MJ and she saw the positive effects immediately. So I decided to switch through my online pharmacy (had to include photos) and can definitely tell it's better for me even though only had firs5 dose so far.

SuperBatFace · 27/07/2024 14:46

@Tipster100 yes at least a stone I'd say but I'm feeling confident I'll get there. I'm sort of thinking I may be job done by about October time so that will have meant approximately 6 or 7 months on the injections. It'll have cost me about a grand to lose 5 stone! Quite a lot now I think about it Grin

@Ifonlyiweretaller how are you feeling in it so far? What would you like to lose?

@MartyFunkhouser thank you. Alas at least a stone I'd say tbh. I'm really quite chunky on my top half. Bit like a parsnip!!

However a non scale victory is that I can now wear all my coats and jackets. I have done ridiculous jacket obsession and get the last few years have bought ..

A scamp & dude camo jacket £140
A Levi's cropped denim - £100 odd
A Barbour padded coat - £250
A whistles short trench -£199

Along with many others. Anyway, none of the above I could wear because just too tight round the tops of my arms / you know when it feels like you have a blood pressure cuff on? Bit like that

Except now they all fit! Comfortably: so we are getting there slowly

But just think how much money you've saved now you can fit into all the clothes again and you don't have to buy more 😃

SuperBatFace · 27/07/2024 15:48

@Tipster100 😀😀 I think we both know I'll have to buy a load more, just to be sure

@SuperBatFace - all going well so far. Although not all with MJ, I've lost a 12 pounds since starting. This is in 5 weeks and have had 2 holidays in that period, which made it slightly more difficult to eat food that's mos5 healthy.
I had an issue with injecting first time with MJ too - so much liquid came out of the pen when I was priming it (despite YouTube clips showing only a droplet) that I'm not sure I got full first dose, but having just done second one I'm hopeful I finally got it fight 🤞

SuperBatFace · 26/09/2024 13:30

@Tipster100 ooh glad to hear you've got started and you're on your way! Sounds like it's going ok then?

I'm going well thanks for asking. I'm about 5 lbs from my target now although was umming and aahhing about stopping now but have decided to keep going

@Tipster100 so there's about 15 or 16 lbs between my last pic shared on this thread - and I was very happy with pic 1!

Just goes to show that the differences can be quite subtle

Actually my current pic is 21 lbs lighter than 11 stone 9 which I was when I started the thread! So it's taken me 10 weeks to lose a further stone and a half.

Feels like forever Grin

Wow! Well done. That's crazy how subtle it is between the last two photos - I imagine your organs have lost lots that you can't see and are now in much better working order too. If you've lost 21lbs since your last post then that's a steady 2lbs a week. Are you feeling good? It must feel amazing. Did you log all your calories from the start? I am not doing that at the moment but I tend to eat quite healthily. It's the snacking that's my main problem and I'm not really interested in that now. Like you I don't have much hunger suppression though but the ability to make better choices is an incredible feature! Anyway thanks for posting again. Been great seeing your journey.

You look absolutely fab.

NewLifter · 27/09/2024 09:51

You have done amazing!

Adelstrop · 27/09/2024 11:26

Wow that is so inspiring, especially as I started MJ 3 weeks ago with exactly your starting weight and height. Thanks for sharing!

SuperBatFace · 27/09/2024 23:30

@Tipster100 thanks!

Yes I log everything into nutracheck. Not in an obsessive way but so I can keep an eye on my protein intake and know that I'm roughly around 1400 cals

And yes, I feel fine! It really helped improve peri menopausal symptoms although I still have some stiffness from time to time, it's nothing like it was. There's been quite a few other NSVs too!

How's this week going for you?
