Thanks re the electrolytes . I didn’t realise about the dehydration. I’ll get some . I usually use the SIS ones (can get them at the pharmacy bit when I do my Tescos shop) for the person asking where . Others might have better ones .
i am exactly the same re my head and food. I’m either thinking about eating or thinking about the fact I’m not eating then obsessing that it’s not even working!
300 cals soup and 600-700 ish dinner sounds similar to me most days and then I do drink coffee so I have a tiny bit of milk too. I feel like I was having so so so much more before this though . Maybe what I’ve done is stopped the weight gain!

Wonkypictureframe · 18/03/2024 20:14

I’m just eating vaguely healthily but not counting calories. Today for lunch I had pea soup with spinach and creme fraiche with some leftover roast pork chopped into it for protein. I almost never eat breakfast. Dinner is salmon I think. I haven’t had any sugar for weeks now though.

@Pigriver What type of electrolytes are you buying please? I don't know where to start.

@ChristmasLightsLover High5 zero from amazon
I'd link them but I'm an old dinosaur

Has anyone stayed on 2.5mg for another 4 weeks? I did my 3rd jab on Saturday and feel great I'm about 8lb down and rarely feel hungry. I have a fruit/protein shake for breakfast, soup for lunch (and the rest of the shake as I rarely finish) and a small portion of a normal dinner. I might have a nutty/protein bar as a snack mid afternoon.
No sweets, cakes, crisps or junk. No alcohol or takeaway/junk food.
I'm happy with this and worry that moving up will make me eat even less which I can't see as being healthy. I currently manage 1200 calories and go to he gym 3-4 times a week.
On the other hand will 2.5mg lose it's potency after a while?
I'm a stone down since new year (half myself, took an agonising 10 weeks) and half in 2 weeks on mounjaro. Still have 2 more to go. I don't want to go crazy and use it as a crash diet, lose it all by eating in an unsustainable way and then put it all back on?

Mortigua · 18/03/2024 21:11

Weird - I am starving today after not being hungry at all all weekend . I feel full but just emotional hunger I think . I’ll have to go to bed to stop it!

I bought a 5mg almost straight after starting 2.5mg as I was worried it would sell out. But now I've bought another 4 weeks of 2.5 as I'm going well on it. I will either do another set of 2.5 or then go up to 5.

Someone on here shared their referral code for voy so I ended up getting the pen for £114 too which isn't bad at all.

A friend told me when she feels she's getting peckish in the evenings she brushes her teeth. It works!

Yes that’s a good idea ! I need to do something as it’s not real hunger . I’m 5 days post jab so it’s also that I guess !

BourbonD · 18/03/2024 21:34

Safe to say Asda have been a right pain and it still hasn’t been approved. Bit worried I won’t be home to take the delivery. Now worried it won’t work and it might be a very expensive venture. I have insulin resistant PCOS, and a whole lifetime of failed diets!

Investinmyself · 18/03/2024 21:40

@Pigriver that sounds very healthy and sustainable. I’d be tempted to stay at 2.5.
I’m day 6. Eating about 1200 cals a day. (normally cc at 1600) Feeling really well. Definitely noticeably less appetite.
I’m doing 3 smaller meals and no snacks/junk/alcohol.
I’m having protein yoghurt/berries bit of granola breakfast.
Homemade protein & veg soup lunch.
Dinner protein & veg and small portion carbs.
Lots of water. 10,000 steps.
I jabbed my stomach no issues at all. Will see what jab 2 on Weds brings.

Beesbeesbeesbees · 18/03/2024 21:44

Anyone else having vivid dreams they can remember? Every single morning since starting I can remember my dreams vividly. I never wake up and remember dreams usually and now it's every single morning, without fail!!

NC543210 · 18/03/2024 22:25

I've been watching these threads with interest. Ordered earlier with Boots just waiting to see if approved etc.

Hope it works as I'm absolutely not comfortable in my own skin anymore. You all seem like you're doing so well.

cloudchaos · 18/03/2024 23:23

@Beesbeesbeesbees yes! And quite enjoying all the dreams too!

For those talking about not losing are you drinking loads of water? And I mean loads. It’s really important to help with the process, water helps metabolise fat, it helps with constipation etc etc. I’m trying to drink 3l a day (probably at least twice my normal intake tbh, I survived on tea before)

Ive had my first experience of not wanting to eat anything today, had v odd lunch of ham and celery. Took my second dose last night of 2.5. Got my 5ml pen approved and on the way (Easter breaks will impact deliveries).

if you know any gardeners the wool packaging is great for lining greenhouse shelving.

@Onedaylikethi5 While keeping hydrated is valuable, especially in fending off constipation, drinking a lot of water without a lot of food just dilutes cell salts and the resulting urination rids the body of too many minerals, the lack of which can then cause heart arrhythmias. So, yes keep hydrated but make sure you're getting enough electrolytes at the same time

Week 3 weigh in and down just 100g this week and 1kg in total over three weeks. Not very dramatic but at least down a bit and now I am on 5mg perhaps things will accelerate.

izzy2076 · 19/03/2024 06:46

Week 2 begins for me today. Just taken my second dose. As you know, I accidentally took double last week but this time, I got it right. I'm curious to see how the side effects will pan out on a single dose compared to double.

I'm beginning to think there's a lot more to this drug than weight loss. I have a knee injury which makes running painful. Not on Mounjaro. No inflammation or pain. Energy levels are good: I went to the gym after work which is a first. I don't have that 'want to curl up in a ball' at the end of the day feeling. Mood is stable. It wipes the floor with HRT I tell ya!

April88 · 19/03/2024 07:05

Injection 4 for me today, going to see if I can wind it further to get the extra out.

-2lb this week, so 9lb in total.

No side effects other than constipation this week, I’m drinking plenty but going to get more fruit and veg in to try and help.

I’ve got 5mg ready for next week.

Final weight loss tally for week one is 2.5lbs. But effortless. I feel like I ate and drank whatever I wanted all week.

I’ve noticed I’m not hangry any more. Usually I’m a beast when hungry! So my blood sugar levels may have evened out.

rainbowsandinfinitesparkles · 19/03/2024 07:40

Day 8 and 2nd injection done this morning.

SW 16st12
CW 16st2

First week lose of 10lb has been really motivating especially after a difficult day yesterday.

Day 7 was my first day I felt it wearing off which I guess I'm lucky with but gosh it was hard and has really confirmed for me I am very much an emotional.eater (binger). The interesting thing is that whilst I'm really struggling with some big stuff aroundy 7year old and definitely feeling all over the place which is when I would normally just eat crap my willpower was much stronger yesterday to recognise it for what it was emotional not physical hunger. Wasn't expecting to learn so much about myself.in a week.

ObsidianTree · 19/03/2024 07:59

Well done to those that have weighed into today.

@April88 let us know if you manage to twist it again successfully ☺️

CiderJabs · 19/03/2024 08:15

@ObsidianTree watch out with doing clicks on MJ. From what I read it's not the same as saxenda, and as the dose is always 0.6ml, doing half the amount will mean half the liquid, which in turn means it will be absorbed quicker. So you won't get the full week effect if you were to inject half a 10mg dose for example.

ObsidianTree · 19/03/2024 08:40

I'm not sure what that means @CiderJabs. Do you mean that you won't get the same effect of half a dose of 10mg as the affect of a 5mg pen dose?

Excellent. I’m also feeling really well. I catch myself thinking I feel great, made be realise how tired I usually feel (perimenopause) I’m definitely sleeping better. I’ve also not been hangry.
Day 7 for me and my tummy is feeling hungry for breakfast today.

cloudchaos · 19/03/2024 08:55

Does anyone know the pharmacy2u policy for when you reach goal weight? Will they continue to prescribe a maintenance dose? I can't really see much about it on their website.
