I have decided to start with Mourjano. Have put an order in with Asda and should hopefully be delivered soon!

Anyone else going to give Mourjano a go?

Hi all. I've been googling this so I'm glad other people here have started on it. I didn't know if it's ok to go straight to mounjaro? Others here have said they are using up their wegovy first. Is wegovy not that good? Have tried saxenda and it didn't do much

Mine arrives today. Line the poster above I can’t believe I’ve taken the plunge. Also Asda. No it’s not cheap. But neither is eating endless food. I’m 5’7 and starting weight of 14 stone. Would love to keep track with you all.

I just ordered too! Had been on ozempic last year but the side effects totally floored me, lost over a stone.

Starting Mounjaro next week/ same height and size as you! 5’7 14 stone

You’re my Mounjaro twin!

pallymo · 17/02/2024 18:25

I am so close to ordering but so worried about side effects mainly diarrhoea. How would you manage if working etc.

Wegovy is better than nothing but not that great for me. A lot of people can’t eat much at all on it though. I will still use it up as it’s £££

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 18/02/2024 01:29

I've just ordered from asda. Like others I had a massive shock when I got on the scales. I rechecked the next day and I'd put another 3 pounds on. It's getting beyond a joke so I've given in and ordered.

I was looking at Wegovy originally but worried about side effects as I travel a lot for work. DP pointed out I suffer from them all anyway so what have I got to lose?!

Decided to go with Mounjaro due to the overall expected weightloss being higher. My bmi is 40.4 and I'm 40 this year with 2 very young kids so I should be paying more attention to my health.

stealtheatingtunnocks · 18/02/2024 01:40

Also ordered.

5’4” and 15.5 stones. I’ve not got the ability to lose weight, I eat mindlessly. I’m hoping this will give me a break from think g about eating and that will kick start some better habits

ThechicRoyal · 18/02/2024 01:54

I'm on first week of taking 1.0 of wegovy and have barely lost anything maybe a few pounds, but at least I'm not gaining. Physically my clothes are much baggier but the scales aren't showing how I am feeling physically, my back pain has disappeared and I have more energy despite not getting a lot of sleep, appetite has dropped can barely stand smells and some foods are either to sweet or to rich. 🤑 thinking may switch to mounjaro at some point 🤷‍♀️

FlappyFish · 18/02/2024 11:21

It’s been in my system now for nearly 24 hours. I have no appetite whatsoever. None. As I mentioned on a previous post I’m due on and normally that means the cravings. Carbs. cheese. Choc. Nothing.

I don’t feel I could eat if I tried.

Very odd feeling.

pallymo · 18/02/2024 12:20

When are the side effect at their worst for example the day after injection or few days later?

FlappyFish · 18/02/2024 12:25

I’ve experienced no side effects at all so far.

Sybila · 18/02/2024 12:28

So one 2.5 pen how often do you jab and how long does it last? I’m serious about trying this

Sybila · 18/02/2024 13:08

Is it £200 a month or a week? It says the pen is single dose but then that you get 4 needles? I’m confused

You get 1 pen but it has 4 doses in it. You take it once a week. So the price would be for the month. ASDA has it cheaper than some other places. I got it for about £187 for the first month.

I've had the request to provide the photos today but nothing more. Hopefully it will be prescribed tomorrow.

I'm snacking on biscuits right now and hoping from what @FlappyFish said about lack of appetite happens for me too.

I'm 5ft2 and 15st11 which was a massive shock to me.

My DP snacks in the same unhealthy way I do yet my bmi is 40 and his is 20. I wish I had his metabolism 😭.

NextPrimeMinister · 18/02/2024 20:08

@PissedOffNeighbour22 I sent my photo's yesterday. Am hoping I'll get approved. Tried last year to get Saxenda but there was a shortage so they were declining new patients.

I hope I get approved, am 5 3, 13.12 and bmi of 34.

FlappyFish · 18/02/2024 21:51

For those ordering on Asda I submitted at about 6am whilst I had the resolve with two photos. Was asked for two more at about 10am, including side profile. (I’m tall and I’m a carry it well as it were). Mine was dispatched later that afternoon and arrived Saturday lunchtime. It comes in a pretty hefty package with ice blocks and has to be kept in the fridge. Also a sharps box.

No side effects at all nearly 36 hours after taking it. Slight reddening where I jabbed my thigh. I’m not hungry at all. Had to make myself eat! Unheard of.

stealtheatingtunnocks · 18/02/2024 21:54

I didn’t know it needs to be kept in the fridge! I was going to not say anything to DH until I was a bit thinner! Maybe I can hide it in a yogurt pot.

Claloulat · 18/02/2024 22:01

I've ordered it and awaiting approval. I'm a bit nervous as I tried wegovy and it worked, but the nausea, vomiting and tiredness was too much for me. I've heard side effects can be milder on mounjaro so here's hoping! I'm saving for a gastric sleeve so this is my last ditch attempt before something more extreme.

Following to see how others find it!

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 18/02/2024 22:29

@FlappyFish I made sure I sent a very unflattering photo so fingers crossed it's approved tomorrow.
It will be interesting to know whether you still have no appetite in a few days time or if it kind of wears of towards the next injection.

@NextPrimeMinister hopefully there's no issues with the supply for this one 🤞🏼

FlappyFish · 18/02/2024 22:44

@Claloulat i had also been looking at sleeves and never going through with it. I was originally going to look for Ozempic and saw Mounjaro was available and went ok. Done. Just do, something… Don’t keep losing and gaining the same half a stone. Then having period cravings and seeing the weight go up with water which destroys all motivation.

@PissedOffNeighbour22 I sent unflattering pics in underwear too. I know they said it can be clothes with head cropped and I was a bit, no, you’re going to see my in my full glory.

@stealtheatingtunnocks I have a drawer in the fridge where the salad is that my DP never eats. I’ve no plans to tell him. We don’t eat many meals together for various reasons.

Mine is also in the salad drawer. Wrapped in a bit of kitchen roll. DP doesn’t tend to get as far as the drawer.

FlappyFish · 19/02/2024 08:38

It’s been in my system coming up for 48 hours. Have eaten half of what I would. As I’m on my period I have water bloating and feel sore. No point going on the scales as it will be up for the TOTM. Still no side effects. No appetite at all. Hope those who are waiting receive theirs today. I’d really love to chat about it as we all start together as I’m not telling anyone in real life.

ObsidianTree · 19/02/2024 08:55

That's great Flappy! Would be keen to know how your week progresses on it. Let us know if the cravings stay away all week etc.
Have you taken any medication before or is murnjaro your first one?

I keep changing my mind on when to start as I still have doses of a Wegovy pen. Wegovy 0.25 isn't really effecting me so I feel like I might as well switch to murnjaro now, but I don't like that I would have wasted money on it! So still thinking about finishing the Wegovy pen before starting on murnjaro. But thinking if I don't lose on the wegovy anyway, I might as as well start the murnjaro instead! Ahhh!

But will start eventually!

Hi all, wow lots of new starters that’s exciting! I’m on day 4 and no real side effects apart from a banging headache on day 1. Food wise I’m feeling food is definitely on my mind less but I wouldn’t say there’s been a drastic change in the amount I eat but it’s early days. Here’s my stats
Height 5ft 1”
SW 13 stone 10
GW 10 stone

good luck to everyone starting!
