Irene it looks pleasant, maybe some cloud around, but hopefully plenty of sunshine too, temps in the low 20s.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 23/06/2018 16:15

oh that's rubbish MrsSlant, best wishes for it. Will you be able to put some shade up and doze outside when you escape?

Delatron · 23/06/2018 16:16

Looks like it will last for a while? Even the following week looks warm too. Lovely!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 23/06/2018 16:16

There is a risk of a break down the following week, but it's far from clear at the moment. Fingers crossed it doesn't.

Delatron · 23/06/2018 17:14

Ahh well, it's been a good May so we are lucky to get a nice June heatwave too.

GinGeum · 23/06/2018 17:25

I’m looking forward to the weather but giving my black dogs a sympathetic look. I don’t suppose anyone knows what 7th July weekend might be like? Hoping for dry for outdoor wedding!

missmouse101 · 23/06/2018 17:30

Hate it! Hate working in it. Boiling hot is hideous, unless you can get in a pool.

ALongHardWinter · 23/06/2018 17:30

I don't actually get why people seem to enjoy being hot, sticky and uncomfortable. And hot weather also seems to turn a sizeable proportion of the population into complete, utter arseholes for some reason.

mydogisthebest · 23/06/2018 17:36

I just hope the forecasts are right. I am fed up with keep being told we are going to have a heatwave only to have 1 warmish day and then it turns chilly again (or rains).

The cold and wet has gone on for months and months. About time we had some decent weather

WhoKnowsWhereTheW1neGoes · 23/06/2018 17:37

Not happy, I'm desperate for rain at the allotment and I hate it when the temperature goes above the low 20s.

I think we all just have different preferences, don’t we? I can see how it’s hell for those who have to commute or are stuck in hot workplaces, but we batter through rain and freezing cold for months on end on the farm, and being able to go out in just shorts is such a welcome break. Not to mention great for hay making!

Delatron · 23/06/2018 18:32

Yes, we're all different! I don't get hot and sticky and love just flinging on a pair of shorts and flip flops!

It's been a long cold winter....

WhoKnowsWhereTheW1neGoes · 23/06/2018 18:38

I do get hot and sticky, also burn easily and it feels as though we've had a heatwave for months already, definitely had enough for now.

Delatron · 23/06/2018 20:44

No, first heatwave of the year next week...

OhYouBadBadKitten · 23/06/2018 21:02

where are you mydog?

mydogisthebest · 23/06/2018 21:37

I am in the Midlands. We have had a couple of warm days but also a lot of cold days and quite a bit of rain. We had the heating on one day last week. My DH actually switched it on and he feels the cold far less than I do.

WanderingTrolley1 · 23/06/2018 21:43

I hate anything over about 22 degrees. Makes me so uncomfortable and lethargic.

Freetogo · 23/06/2018 21:46

It made me feel ill earlier. I didnt know what to do with myself. Confused

Zoflorabore · 23/06/2018 21:48

I'm only down the road from you, in Knowsley, can't wait for this weeks weather :)

lifechangesforever · 23/06/2018 22:02

I'm 36 weeks pregnant but I actually cannot wait - perfect maternity leave weather!

I have a very cool house so I'll lounge outside with the dogs and then come in to cool down. Rinse and repeat Grin

MissMarplesKnitting · 23/06/2018 22:04

I love the hot. Love it.

However, I don't love it in an unventilated prefabricated box oven classroom with 30 plus teenagers.

Then, it's hellish. It's just pants, for the kids and staff.

MrSlant · 23/06/2018 23:10

I've bought a paddling pool OYBBK and will sit in the shade in it if I have to. Only problem is I'll probably be feeling pretty nauseous and unbalanced so hot and sticky will be unhelpful. I'm only moaning because I'm a water baby and would otherwise spend the week in the sea pretending to be a mermaid Grin. I need to get a grip as if the op goes well it will be a very positive outcome affecting the rest of my life, I just like a good moan!

IDismyname · 23/06/2018 23:16

It’s my birthday too on the 28th!

WhoKnowsWhereTheW1neGoes · 24/06/2018 08:36

We might not have had an official heatwave yet but it's been very hot and muggy for most of the last month here (SE England) with only one or two properly cool days and a few warm but fresh. I like the long light evenings but hate the heat during the day. Really hoping this forecast is wrong.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 24/06/2018 09:23

Let's hope it's as long summer MrsSlant so you can enjoy it :)

The temps look like they may be pegged back a little, perhaps. The overall forecast looks pretty firm though.
