that's a bit rubbish :(

I've ordered a hose pipe because despite conserving as much water as I can I've now got empty waterbutts. It seemed like such a good idea to plant new borders this spring....

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/06/2018 08:59

That's a fortunate cross post!

GinGeum · 28/06/2018 09:22

I so hope this weather continues. Not just for our wedding, but for the Farm too. Harvest has been a complete wash out for the last two years, we really need a hot, dry summer this year.

GloriaSmud · 28/06/2018 09:34

I ordered one of these a few weeks ago to attach to my shed. I've no idea whether it works yet!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/06/2018 10:07

I have guttering on my shed and my garage connected to waterbutts. It has t been enough.

LadyFilthPacquet · 28/06/2018 10:12

Love it!!!!

Delatron · 28/06/2018 13:21

Still a nice breeze here in Bucks. Doesn't feel that hot, maybe about 23, according to my phone. It does say it will peak at 28 degrees at 6pm though.

LighthouseSouth · 28/06/2018 13:40

I think I've got this weather all wrong due to my living & working situation

if we go away in July I think the main thing will be to go somewhere that's not built up and stay at ground level!!

Perihelion · 28/06/2018 14:34

Some areas of Moray and some Islands are getting low on water, as well as folk with private water supplies ( usually water from a burn off the hill ).

28C in Edinburgh.......Angry..got a wee breeze though.

Elementtree · 28/06/2018 14:41

25c here and up to 27c later. It's bloody wonderful. Long may it continue.

A fresh breeze here today too, so although it's 25C it doesn't feel too bad so long as you stay in the shade. I've retreated indoors to catch up on paperwork, will go out again when it's cooler later.

And the heat goes on (and probably into next week as well) ~ today's thoughts from TheWeatherOutlook.

GloriaSmud · 29/06/2018 09:58

And from netweather.

magimedi · 29/06/2018 10:18

Am loving it! The picture at the top of the netweather link ^ is Eastbourne Pier. Am off there shortly for a swim.

Delatron · 29/06/2018 10:59

Lovely, lovely weather. Don't remember such a long settled spell for years.

Perihelion · 29/06/2018 11:32

Walked the dog in the full on haar this morning, 14C Grin

GloriaSmud · 29/06/2018 11:34

Aw very nice, magimedi
I wouldn't have known it was the seafront at Eastbourne but Brighton ~ those greenish railings by The Palace Pier, I'd know that seafront straight away!

WhoKnowsWhereTheW1neGoes · 29/06/2018 11:40

While it is far too hot for me, I am enjoying the fresh breeze, makes the heat much more bearable. So as long as that keeps up I'm happier.

megletthesecond · 29/06/2018 19:56

gloria the sky lights in our office building started melting something around the edges a couple of days ago. Luckily it's over an atrium but a few people walked through it before maintenance got onto it.

beenrumbled · 30/06/2018 07:30

DD is of on a D of E expedition today, for a 2 day camp/hike.

I'm really worried by the heat but as it's the Bronze I'm hoping its not too taxing.

She has sun cream, lots of water and a walking hat with a wide brim.

WhoKnowsWhereTheW1neGoes · 30/06/2018 07:35

We've now got thunderstorms forecast for next Friday, I know it's some way off yet but I'm hopeful, the rain is badly needed and a day of respite from the sun would be nice.
