To complement the Summer weather thread.

Tomorrow could see some thunderstorms in places across England, but by tomorrow evening, the main area of risk appears to be in the central southern areas (revised forecast from earlier) , where frequent lightning and small hail could form in any storms that evolve.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 01/06/2018 13:20

kidding I'm in SW London, and the weather's the same here. Forecast has now changed to rain from 5pm. Hmm

GloriaSmud · 01/06/2018 13:34

Ooo good luck ~ make a run for it!

Overcast (which makes it very muggy) 25C here. Definite signs of the 'right' sort of clouds for thundery stuff!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 01/06/2018 14:47

Plenty of lightning around the Scottish borders and NI it seems.

Yay! Grin
It's so warm and muggy here ~ I've just dragged DDs out for a walk. They complained.... lots!

ajandjjmum · 01/06/2018 15:49

Beautiful sunny skies here on the South Staffs/West Mids border.

Papergirl1968 · 01/06/2018 18:49

You must be very close to me, ajandjjmum - waves from Kingswinford Smile

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 01/06/2018 18:54

We had deluge here at about 5, now lovely and sunny.

BertrandRussell · 01/06/2018 18:59

Very airless and sticky here in East Kent- but no storm forecast. Somebody has to take the dog for a walk. She is guilt tripping us in turn.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 01/06/2018 19:13

😂

Ethelswith · 02/06/2018 07:20

Thanks OYBBK

Looking overcast, but fingers crossed it'll be OK

LighthouseSouth · 04/06/2018 14:03

they keep forecasting rain for my part of London and then changing their minds - the last few days it's been a dark cloud passing over and no rain. Weird.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 04/06/2018 14:33

Same in my part Lighthouse.

LighthouseSouth · 04/06/2018 16:08

Perfectly, it's very humid, we def need some rain here but I've given up.

Strange to be wishing for rain in June!

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 04/06/2018 16:13

I know!

LighthouseSouth · 04/06/2018 17:13

But I can't even console myself with perfectly symmetrical buttocks Grin

We never even got a sniff of the thunderstorms that hit Greater Manchester here. 2 miles up the road had a fantastic storm last week. Not us. Sad

It's a little cooler today so maybe we will sleep tonight!

LighthouseSouth · 06/06/2018 18:08

Is Accuweather stuck? It's bern forecasting "potential heavy showers tonight" for about a week now.

Today's official temp in my London suburb is said to be 21 but seems more like 25 at least? Met office giving completely different forecast for week ahead. Our flat is so hot in the evening we have to plan round weather.

Whatthefoxgoingon · 06/06/2018 18:29

Really really could do with another storm now...

LighthouseSouth · 06/06/2018 18:35

Fox, so very hot where you are?

I just want accurate forecasting...seems to be all over the shop with all websites.

Whatthefoxgoingon · 06/06/2018 21:36

Hit 25 deg plus a few times this week lighthouse and v muggy. Our thermostat is reading consistently higher than the predicted max temps for London.

LighthouseSouth · 06/06/2018 21:41

Ah, fox, you're a Londoner too...yes it's not making any sense. Thank goodness I don't have to use the Tube tomorrow....which is forecast to be 22 but will that be right as today was totally wrong.

TheClitterati · 06/06/2018 23:02

Lots of thunder here on south Kent coast. No lightning though!!! Must be echoing in from the Channel?
