S.Herts here and from 10 -2pm it was sunny today, but then rained while out with dog, sun came out 30 minutes later, just had formidable looking clouds and now blue bits of sky again. Rather like April showers in January.

When I was out on my walk I had to walk through a large patch of water, on the way back cleared the drain (was bunged up with leaves and rubbish), was quite therapeutic watching the large puddle (which went across the road) vanish down the drain. If anyone has large amounts of water outside their house I would suggest checking the drains and making sure they stay clear, not sure if I saved any houses from flooding but I saved a few people from being splashed by cars driving by Smile.

Our dogwalking business restarted today, and all four of us managed to get all our booked walks done without getting rained on! Nearly got blown away, and had to do the creeping down flooded roads in first gear thing more than once - but - hurray!

What's the next joy on the horizon Kitten?

We are on the Somerset Levels, we are not flooded, but all surrounding villages are. Had to take a 13 mile detour to get DS to school this morning and same on the way back. Our normal road has water up to the top of roadsigns , so probably about six foot high. Everyone around here is sick to death of it!!

Basically more rain across the south tomorrow and Wednesday. Mostly in the form of sharp squally showers. Not so soggy further north.
