If you want to do any out door stuff over the next few days tomorrow is the best day. Might I suggest though that river side walks are not the best idea!

Off to work in an hour and a half :(

Bah humbug

OhYouMerryLittleKitten · 01/01/2014 09:56

Posting from bed so its a bit sporadic.

Friday is worth watching out for in northern England and Scotland wind wise with the potential for some severe gales I'm afraid. No warnings from the met office yet.

Thanks Kitten and Happy New Year to everyone, any sign of the grey wet weather leaving us, and getting some snow maybe?

OhYouMerryLittleKitten · 01/01/2014 09:58

And still keeping an eye on the 6th/7th which doesn't look terrible but does look quite wet and wild.

DH drives to Yeovil on the 7th :(

OhYouMerryLittleKitten · 01/01/2014 10:00

Leesmum. On some forums people are having glimmers of hope. Sadly I'm not one of them. It might be cool enough for snow over some northern areas as we get closer to mid Jan, but no real pattern change that I can see. Sorry.

I'm beginning to get bored of this weather Kitten, could we order some nicer stuff next time?

OhYouMerryLittleKitten · 01/01/2014 11:38

I am pretty bored of it too! But if I ask for cold then people will tell me how cold is evil and people suffer.
I'd like some lovely snow over night and then a crisp cold blue sky.

Grin We are paying for it today, torrential rain and high winds.I've just been out on the farm doing the ponies and was soaked right through to my underwear.Got to go back out in a few hours and am not looking forward to it.

OhYouMerryLittleKitten · 01/01/2014 12:53

It's horrendous here too and causing us real anxiety.

LostInWales · 01/01/2014 12:56

Happy New Year OYBBK, grimola here too. Thank goodness we have lots of food and wine in and no where to be. The road by our house has flooded so many times in the last week I have lost count and the road down to the beach has nearly been entirely buckled/washed away where the water has got under it. Blech

SecretNutellaFix · 01/01/2014 12:57

It has stopped here, but the downpours are heavy when they come.

magimedi · 01/01/2014 13:02

It is still chucking it down here (East Sussex).

Helenagrace · 01/01/2014 13:05

And here in West Sussex too. It's grim!

How is a girl supposed to exercise and eat healthily when it's too wet to go out and too cold not to comfort eat?!?!

OhYouMerryLittleKitten · 01/01/2014 13:06

Why does this have to be happening now? :(

OP posts:
mousmous · 01/01/2014 13:10

happy new year!
I'm fed up with this weather, it seems never ending.
am a bit concerned about neighbours large conifer which is tall enough to hit houses. it's swaying really badly.

digerd · 01/01/2014 13:11

At 9am it was just drizzling, so dog walk was OK. Since then it has turned into heavier rain with occasional gusty winds. Sky even shade of grey which usually means non-stop rain for hours so no 3pm walkies for little dogSad 8 degrees.

fatsatsuma · 01/01/2014 13:27

OYBBK are you ok? I saw a post by you on another thread and you sound v worried Sad

SpottyTeacakes · 01/01/2014 13:29

Oybbk I hope you're ok. There's a lot of water round here already people are struggling to get over the bridges.

Nicest day of the year so far though Grin

OhYouMerryLittleKitten · 01/01/2014 13:31

No I'm not ok but as I've,posted on fb I daren't put it here. There are those way worse off though,

ChristmasJumperWearer · 01/01/2014 13:33

(((((OYBBK)))))

travellingwilbury · 01/01/2014 13:33

OYBBK , I hope you are as ok as you can be . Your grim is your grim , I never find it makes me feel any better to think of how bad other people have it , just depresses me even more .

OhYouMerryLittleKitten · 01/01/2014 13:35

Thanks guys keep telling myself that this will all pass and not to waste my tears but I've just reached the point of bring overwhelmed by stuff.

OP posts:
travellingwilbury · 01/01/2014 13:38

A bloody good wallow never did anyone any harm .

If I am ever feeling overwhelmed then I allow myself an hour to have a good sulk and a sob and then I give myself a kick and get back to it .
