met office warnings For tomorrow for Scotland and NW England, extending to Yorkshire. NW Scotlant in particular looks awful with blizzard conditions.

I'm not quite sure about the warnings for England, I'm going to be really interested to see how they pan out. Tuesday scattered sleet and snow showers for many.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 22/03/2013 17:09

Liam Dutton on c4 tweeting that snow could stretch much further into central southern? south of London tomorrow than on current meet office warnings

digerd · 22/03/2013 17:46

My newspaper's weather forecast this morning said Kent as well.
So we are expecting it here in SE, and if not then won't be disappointed.

Drizzling and very windy +4 atm

mankyscotslass · 22/03/2013 17:59

Bone dry, grey here. Unimpressed and unsurprised. Envy

TwllBach · 22/03/2013 18:09

Very, very rainy still. How are you all getting temperatures btw?

rainbowsprite1 · 22/03/2013 18:42

Loads of snow in the Isle of Man, unusual for us, we normally have an even better snow shield than Manchester! :)

Ghostsgowoooh · 22/03/2013 19:41

Had a foot here in wrexham, more expected overnight. Am so not impressed

OhYouBadBadKitten · 22/03/2013 19:42

Will have a look at that d&p

MegGriffin · 22/03/2013 19:51

Kaddy le preston on bbc south east said 30% chance of 5-10 cm!!!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 22/03/2013 20:03

One of the models is going for snow in the south, the others aren't so I wouldn't put too much weight on that.

What do you think for Worcestershire OYBBK? We missed snow today but it has started to fall now, which is earlier than I thought. Sad

OhYouBadBadKitten · 22/03/2013 20:57

I think you could end up with quite a lot sparkling, it seems to be coming in pulses on the radar, but its looking pretty persistent right through much of tomorrow.

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 22/03/2013 21:04

OYBBK thanks, I thought that may be the case. It's coming down heavy now, but it's so wet it's not sticking yet.

For once I must not complain though. It's Saturday-no hazardous school run. Yay! Football cancelled. Grin

thegreylady · 22/03/2013 21:54

I have cancelled tomorrow's trip from Shropshire to Sheffield.I don't want to risk it.

Perihelion · 22/03/2013 22:16

mankyscotslass I'm totally unimpressed too....Edinburgh's shite for snow. Got my hope's up today, seeing the council grit the pavements, but no, still sandwiched between 2 weather warnings.

ChippingInIsEggceptional · 22/03/2013 22:17

I was out walking when it started pouring down today - I looked like a drown rat when I got home! Grin

I was thinking about going to the Artisan Market at Tweseldown tomorrow - I shouldn't as I don't really have the time... looks like the weather might help me out with that decision Grin

TomDaleysTrunks · 22/03/2013 23:36

Evening all.

Is it going to snow here in Abergavenny? It's kind of icy sleet at the moment, need to get to Cardiff tomorrow. Thanks OYBBK!

PigletJohn · 23/03/2013 00:45

south coast, certainly no snow (about 6C) but the rain is pissing persisting down.

I can only look at the past hour's lightening strikes, but we were out for the evening, and on returning about 00:30, two of the electrical circuits had tripped their RCDs. If not lightening, it might be water got into a local substation or underground supply cable (it boils off fast)

Skang · 23/03/2013 06:55

Snowing in north Essex quite heavily but it's not settling much. Not on the road at all.

InMySpareTime · 23/03/2013 07:11

Manky, there's actual snow on the ground this morning in TraffordGrin!
Only an inch, but that's got to count.

digerd · 23/03/2013 07:34

S. Herts
SNOWING. All white covering outside Snow flakes still small. 0 in the night. Looks as if it will carry on all day.
Occasional wind gusts from the north.

denialandpanic · 23/03/2013 07:43

snowing sw Surrey. Not lying at present. I'm sure I heard heavy rain earlier.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 23/03/2013 07:56

Oh bollocks. Looks like the NAE was right and the other models were wrong. It's snowing heavily outside.

mankyscotslass · 23/03/2013 08:09

Woke to a dusting of snow here in Tameside.
