Snow Watch Part 4. The Winter continues....

met office warnings For tomorrow for Scotland and NW England, extending to Yorkshire. NW Scotlant in particular looks awful with blizzard conditions.

I'm not quite sure about the warnings for England, I'm going to be really interested to see how they pan out. Tuesday scattered sleet and snow showers for many.

Just had a blizzard in Southampton, I've never seen flakes so big. All gone now and turned to rain though.

boiledegg, can I just put a caveat on that! You may get some falling, but not enough I dont think to hang around at all.

Some little skinny flakes falling, sky looks very grey, and down to 2*C.

It must have warmed up, it's stopped snowing and melted off now.

Do you know if the snow from the US will come over to us? Should we be making Plans?

Well its sort of half melted here n SE London. Think this is the wettest slushiest snow I have ever experienced! Not enough to have any fun in, thats for sure. Wonder if it will all freeze solid tonight, and we will wake to ice rink?

According to the accuweather app on my phone, we're supposed to be +9 on Thursday. And 10 on Saturday.

I thought I'd read on another forum that Wednesday was looking interesting with more snow. I guess that's changed now. :(

Oops. I posted this before I refreshed and saw the last couple of pages.

Tbh, the 'snow' this year has been such a let down. Even though I know the chances are slim for us in the London area, I still get my hopes up. I wonder when I'll finally accept that it just doesn't happen that often.

Little dog had her long walk - not as long as usual, though, as I'd had enough-, but the snow was horrible, but grateful it wasn't icy, just slushy. The dog walking tracks were very muddy and squelchy, and the damp cold air was bad for my chest. Little dog wasn't as excited as usual, so we went home early, as my boots were wet and my feet were cold. Had max of +2 on house wall sensor. +1 now with 88% humidity.
Supposed to get milder by end of the week to +8.

Our snow has all gone ,it only lasted for about an hour then all melted !!

All melted and mostly dried up here, but it is cold, about 2C

More snow for many away from the south tomorrow. Perhaps even for Manchester. Another marginal situation though with perhaps rain before and rain after. met office warnings

Snow melted on driveway and most pavements, but still persisting on the grass. Dog walks still muddy and slippy, so I'd had enough after 30 minutes and went home .

Snow way is Mancland getting snow!!!

sometimes I do ok... and other times I fail miserably! lets see what tomorrow brings.

Well I'm off to the annual Shrovetide football tomorrow in Ashbourne, north Derbyshire.
