Snow Watch Part 4. The Winter continues....

met office warnings For tomorrow for Scotland and NW England, extending to Yorkshire. NW Scotlant in particular looks awful with blizzard conditions.

I'm not quite sure about the warnings for England, I'm going to be really interested to see how they pan out. Tuesday scattered sleet and snow showers for many.

Erm... It's snowing...

Are those general updates....or east anglia updates?

It's snowing heavily again in SE London, and settling too, which will make the school run interesting!

Hope it sticks around long enough for sledging after school.

A very wet snow covering here in mid surrey. Snowing pathetically at the moment.

Just started snowing heavily here, up on the Downs just outside Brighton. I thought we'd escaped it this time!

About 3cm in W Oxon. Sleet at the moment. DH got train to London today and he said snow was slushy rather than frozen (at 6am) on our drive

oxon/glos border here with about 2 in of snow and its still coming down

don't mind too much as its half term but just put paid to our plans for today

OYBBK is there much more heading our way?

Metoffice website seem to have decided that we're going to have light snow here (Leicester) 'til midday now, whereas it was forecast to be just dull and cloudy before. I think they're making it up as they go along!

Oh no, started snowing again - tiny flakes and some bigger ones. Falling vertically so no wind.

Now getting heavier and slanting from the north - poor little dog, no long walk again. Just a quick dash onto river bank at back of my garden and back in.

Hardly anything here I want spring to come now!

Just been out in the snow and is very wet snow as weather is too mild. If snow flakes had been bigger, little dog would have soon been a snowdog. But she loved it - not so me, as curved bridge over my pond was slippery and I lost my balance < thank goodness it has banister rails>.
She 's now looking out the window and then at me with an expression of " That was a short walk, where's my long one?" Perhaps at 3pm today.

It doesn't even look like it rained overnight here - everything is dry. I've just been on the school run and it's bitter cold.

Woke up to a few flakes of snow falling this morning but that turned to sleet and it's now raining AGAIN!

Stopped snowing and skies much lighter < same as the snow>. melting on the big paving stones outside front door, but rest isn't melting quick enough for me. Got 3 hours before little dog's long walk for it all to have melted < doubtful face>

moderate wet snow just started, but not settling, with a very unusual wind from NNE

Dry cold and grey here.

Been snowing all morning here but not settling at all (phew!)

We have piddly nothingy stuff falling. Keep willing it to turn to big fat fluffy flakes but no such luck. Boo!

That's not fair I want your weather. After all the south east is supposed to be the sunniest and driest and Wales the wettest < sulky face>. We may have 8 degrees by end of week < sour face, I want it now>

now stopped, and getting quite bright. I expect it will soon be dried up.

Nothing here in Dorset yet? Any predicted??

boiledegg - nope! in fact just the odd snow showers now really through til Wednesday. Thats going to be another tricky day to forecast!
