Snow Watch Part 4. The Winter continues....

met office warnings For tomorrow for Scotland and NW England, extending to Yorkshire. NW Scotlant in particular looks awful with blizzard conditions.

I'm not quite sure about the warnings for England, I'm going to be really interested to see how they pan out. Tuesday scattered sleet and snow showers for many.

It's damp, grey and dreary here with rain.

That NAE chart looks promising! I find this will it won't it snow excitement a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. It's very strange how excitable I get at the merest mention of snow.

Ooooh. That snow in New York looks amazing! Although it's. shame so many are without a power. They've been hit badly in the last few months what with sandy and now this. Hope everyone's ok out there.

Will some of that weather make it's way over here?

I'm using the "looking out the window" forecasting advice - I'd describe what is falling out of the sky as light sleet. (North Yorkshire)

Too cold and wet to go out for a walk, not cold and snowy enough for any fun.

Pah.

Husband has gone on possibly foolish outing to South Yorkshire, I told him not to expect any sympathy if he gets stuck trying to get back later on.

I would be amazed if we get snow, I expect a bit of sleet will be as good as it gets. MEH!

Just off to walk the dog. She looks as thrilled as I do....wet, cold & grey. Then a football match to watch in the rain. I want snow!

It's raining here, not to bad, but enough to put Mankyboy2 in a bad mood - he is going to be wet while playing in goal today!

Just before I walk the dog, had one more look at met office. Heavy rain all day, but then heavy snow midnight - 6am.

Must not get excited as I'm sure it'll change in an hour or two....

Crap drizzly rain in my part of Kent. We're sitting in the car waiting for the rugby match to start and it's bloody freezing :(

Fog here (north lincs). Looks very touch and go whether we'll get any though! Maybe Weds though.

Nah, this is rubbish. Very light drizzle. BBC weather said we'd have "heavy snow" all morning. They are wrong.

5 degrees and heavy rain here. Bleurgh.

South Herts.
Was +3 in the night but already +5 at 7am < mmm, mild I thought>. At 9am it started raining. At 9.40 it had stopped, so took little dog out for a 30 minute walk. It did begin to drizzle but was tolerable. Feels colder than yesterday, but must have been the WET cold.
Next walk < in the mud> is at 3pm - so keeping fingers crossed it is not pouring down then.

Snow here, up the hill in Sheffield. Woke to a covering, still snowing now though lightly. But farmer gritted the estate this morning, so our roads are fine. DH has taken the car out to take DD to a party and says it is all fine. Good job - we have family coming later for a birthday meal!

Very wet in North Yorkshire. I did see the odd flake earlier, but nothing exciting. If it does snow here, I can't see it laying with all the rain about.

According to the beeb in about an hour it should be snowing heavily.

DamnDe - I would be inclined not to believe them. The beeb reckon it's been snowing heavily all day here (looks out of window at rain).

Has anyone had any snow yet?
