Snow watch!!!!

well, it looks like winter finally might be arriving!

First indications for snow are for this coming saturday as a low pressure draws in cold air . The met office arent really going for it at the moment, but the potential is certainly there. At the moment I'd say the biggest risk is for the midlands and central England.

After that there seems to be a cold few days but then the models start to disagree. GFS shows a positive snow fest for the 24th! masses of snow, but its a long way off and until we get much closer who knows what really will happen.

When I read your reports, I always read it in my head like a TV forecaster! If I didn't know what you looked like, I'd think you were really Sian Lloyd!

You really do sound very professional and it gets better with every year. This must be really good for your confidence? It's like an apprentiship!

Thanks Kitten. Mumat the forecast seems to specify just East Kent but it will be localized so a lot of Kent will miss out.

The odd thing is, although people irl know I love the weather, none of them I know that I do it to this level and it can lead to some really frustrated conversations! Especially when a colleague contradicts me constantly quoting someone from the bbc!

mumat, we may get some light snow in our area, but at the moment its not looking like a really good snow fest at the moment sadly. (much to dds relief!)

Oh wow! Happy big 40! I'll be hitting 45 this year but didn't mind turning 40 as my dd was just under one at the time and an excellent distraction. Hope you're doing something lovely for your big day! Have fun! xxx

They are specifically saying Thanet area for Kent now which I am near so there is still some hope for me.

I'd like snow for Sunday, as it's my birthday. I'll be 27.
