Snow watch!!!!

well, it looks like winter finally might be arriving!

First indications for snow are for this coming saturday as a low pressure draws in cold air . The met office arent really going for it at the moment, but the potential is certainly there. At the moment I'd say the biggest risk is for the midlands and central England.

After that there seems to be a cold few days but then the models start to disagree. GFS shows a positive snow fest for the 24th! masses of snow, but its a long way off and until we get much closer who knows what really will happen.

Ooh yes, another vote for 3 days of really deep snow which then completely melts. Preferably arriving on a Thursday night and melting on Sunday night ...

No! I don't want snow. I need to be able to get out and about. My car isn't good in snow! I end up having to go part way with DH and then having to walk the rest of the way - which is rubbish in the cold, wet snow.

Can do what it likes Feb half term, after 16th Feb - so long as I can still catch my plane to warmer climates first!

I might have to buy emergency cocoa for hot chocolate now and tins of soup. In fact, I should have a food emergency cupboard like my Mum......

The netweather thread is going mental, I seriously fear for people if it doesn't happen Grin.

I like snow, but unlike most of the people on there I wouldn't want a 1947/1963 type prolonged spell. It would get mighty annoying and inconvenient after a few days, although good story to tell the grand kids.

3 days of deep crisp snow, which magically disappears without the sheet ice/frozen slush stage would be marvellous.

Marking my place, holding my breath, doing snow dance and hoping for at least two white and fluffy days in the South East....

If it could wait for a couple of weeks and then be snowy until middle of February that would be fine :)
