Getting really really fed up with it now. I actually think it's partly to cause for my depresion coming back, I am feeling so down ATM.
I get soaked twice a day walking midnees to school. I ahve 3 airers ful of wet washing all over the house, the heating on to dry it all, and muddy dog pawprints everywhere.

I want someone to turn the tap off please Grin

Metoffice have given the South-West a warning for heavy rain, for tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 08/05/2012 13:18

Thats the start of this approaching storm. Gloria.
I'm going to attempt to cycle into town this afternoon. Not done it for months (before I got poorly).

GloriaSmud · 08/05/2012 13:27

I thought it was (the start of the rain) coming our way.
Ooo don't overdo it, OYBBK. Take it slowly.

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 08/05/2012 13:29

slow as a snail!

I don't get it-originally today had heavy rain forecast and it was a lovely day.The the rain was forecast for Wednesday, but the BBC weather showed a fine day-met office show rain.BBC said Thursday would be fine-met office have given a severe weather warning.I'm trying to rearrange work and they aren't helping matters.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 08/05/2012 19:57

The BBC get their weather forecasts wrong all the time. You're best off using another website.

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 08/05/2012 21:30

I think the day to day detail is really tricky atm - its so unsettled but in general I'd stick with the met office. The rain is due to move into the sw tomorrow, spreading across much of the rest of the uk overnight. Severe weather warnings for much of the south, and also parts of the midlands and southern Wales.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 08/05/2012 21:34

I find their rainfall radar quite accurate, within 24 hours. I find their wind forecast way, way out. So I tend to go for a few different sites.

Mirage · 09/05/2012 16:13

Well it is a good job I didn't take any notice of the forecast and rearrange a day's work.It was fine and warm until 3pm when I finished and then we had a light shower.Hmm

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 09/05/2012 17:30

I think thats the best way to play it mirage at the moment. Forecast has been bang on target here today.

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 11/05/2012 07:44

Sunshine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

woo-hoo!!! Fine weekend for many of us once the stuff in the north clears away. Bad weather returns for Scotland on Sunday afternoon, returning to the usual dross for all over the course of Monday.

TheScottishPlayer · 11/05/2012 12:39

It's rained here (Edinburgh) solidly yesterday and after a brief dry spell this morning it looks set to do the same again today. A ray of sunshine tomorrow would be most welcome.

MrsGuyOfGisbourne · 12/05/2012 20:34

Apparently there was one day of hot sunshine yesterday here in London, while I was in Brussels (where it was raining, natch)
At lest, halleleujah!!!, the rain held off again today (tho' not hot) so DS2 could finally play a game of cricket, after every other one this term has been cancelled.
They lost Sad

GloriaSmud · 13/05/2012 11:21

More sunshine here!
Anyone else having a mad washing day before the next lot of rain moves in? My washing line's groaning under the weight of it all!

GloriaSmud · 13/05/2012 11:23

Apologies to western Scotland; I didn't notice they had a weather warning covering them.

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 13/05/2012 21:40

I've been neglecting them too - oops. Insanely busy over the past few days. ( and rather exhausted this evening) it was lovely to have sun though.

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 15/05/2012 13:15

would have issued a heads up about the potential for storms today if mn hadnt been down, especially for the western side of central southern England. Any reports of good hail?

Meglet · 15/05/2012 23:29

Hail-tastic in Hampshire this afternoon.

Mirage · 17/05/2012 22:03

Awful hailstorm in Leics at 3pm.I had to run for cover into the stable and the yard was just awash with water afterwards.

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 17/05/2012 22:20

It's still so unsettled!

TheScottishPlayer · 17/05/2012 23:25

Pleeeeaaaaaasaase someone say we'll have perfectly pleasant spring weather by next weekend!

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 18/05/2012 07:43

Well, the gfs is showing much happier things next week. It's only just switching to this scenario so don't get too excited in case it's having a mad moment, but It is looking both drier and warmer Starting in the se and spreading. Eastern coastal temps look disappointing but for many of us, if it is right- much better.

MegBusset · 18/05/2012 16:53

Any thoughts about June OYBBK? Pondering whether to book a camping trip for my bday weekend (16-17 June). We're in Norfolk.

Labradorlover · 18/05/2012 17:07

OYBBK, Eastern coastal temps couldn't be much more disappointing than what we've got in Edinburgh today......6C with and East wind. It's bizzare, feels like winter, but not dark till 10pm.
