Getting really really fed up with it now. I actually think it's partly to cause for my depresion coming back, I am feeling so down ATM.
I get soaked twice a day walking midnees to school. I ahve 3 airers ful of wet washing all over the house, the heating on to dry it all, and muddy dog pawprints everywhere.

I want someone to turn the tap off please Grin

Ahem.

It has stopped.

Loshad · 29/04/2012 19:27

I have ducks in my field fuglies - not grass but a lake and ducks Confused

VickityBoo · 29/04/2012 19:28

Wow beautiful blue sunny skies here in Suffolk land. First time in ages.

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 29/04/2012 19:33

For today fuglie

Actually, tomorrow looks to be a reasonable day away from the sw (and ne Scotland) but Monday night Tuesday could be another wet day ( not as bad as today, but nevertheless the met office have warnings out) may well start a thread on this tomorrow morning if it looks like it's going to warrant it.

heartstart · 29/04/2012 19:35

Helping at school trip tomorrow outside all day ........please one dry day

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 29/04/2012 19:47

Away from the sw and your wish shall ( probably) be granted. If you are in the sw then you are a bit stuffed, at least at first.

Collision · 29/04/2012 19:48

DAMMIT RAIN STOP!!! I WILL SELL THE BIKE!!!!!!!!!!

sailorsgal · 29/04/2012 19:50

Its been like this since they mentioned the word DROUGHT. I know we need the rain but bloody hell when is it going to stop. I wouldn't care if it just rained at night.

DontCallMeBaby · 29/04/2012 19:51

Currently Not Raining in Gloucestershire. Doubt it'll last - I can live with it, apart from the fear that too-much-rain will turn into no-mains-water again, and the fact that my cats have cabin fever and are driving us all bananas.

treadonthecracks · 29/04/2012 20:01

We have scheduled Ark building for next weekend. The DC have been practising herding their soft toys all afternoon.

dementedma · 29/04/2012 20:04

why are you all complaining? Recently there was a thread about the drought and water shortages....now you have water!!
You can actually go out in it and not dissolve. Grin I live in Scotland where rain is a daily occurrence pretty much, so am kind of used to it.

stubbornstains · 29/04/2012 20:07

OYBBK stop it!stop it! I'm going to start crying! Wedding with camping next weekend (in Cornwall, where I also live), festival in Gloucestershire weekend of the 19th/20th..

NOOOOOO! (bangs head on table)

As a plus, at least it's stopped raining in the kitchen now...

sailorsgal · 29/04/2012 20:08

You should see the poor sheep in the field outside my house. They look so miserable. Sad

landofsoapandglory · 29/04/2012 20:13

Uh-hum Fuglie, it has not bloody stopped here!Angry

I am so cold and pissed off it is unbelievable. DH was doing my head in whinging about being cold and begging to put the heating on this morning! I was saying, no because it's nearly May! Then the DC started! At 3pm I caved in an put it on. This time last year, we were in Summer frocks and the heating was off!

The cold and wet is not good for my joints. My back is killing me. I reckon my screws have gone rusty. And as it didn't get light this morning I didn't wake until 10.15! Well I suppose there has to be a little silver lining to these black clouds!Wink

Loshad · 29/04/2012 20:51

dementedma - it was never too dry here, and all my grass is dying under water. I am still feeding my livestock hay, when normally by this point they would be out at grass. My land is like a swamp, everywhere has a slick of mud. All my animals are swamped and fed up - even the chickens.

123caughtaflea · 29/04/2012 20:57

Not raining here just now, but . . . we are south west, so I am drawing the curtains and refusing to look again, cos it will be soon.

I can't put the heating on, can I? Ever so tempting though.

daffodilly2 · 29/04/2012 20:57

Never minded rain, washes the cob webs away, cleansing! What I hate are still grey days. Blustery, showery, you know you are alive. Went for a little walk in it yesterday - showery and bit of bluster, quite refreshing when you are all wrapped up!

sphil · 29/04/2012 21:00

We are in the soggy SW and have heating on! Last night we had a fire too. It has rained relentlessly all day, with about five minutes of weak sunshine at 7pm. Am so fed up - due to go camping over the long weekend.

Had massive roast dinner to make up for it and have eaten my own body weight in food...

HumpheadWrasse · 29/04/2012 21:01

It really is making me down. Grey gloominess everywhere. Stuck in the house with toddlers who keep trashing the place. Went to the swimming pool today and could barely move for the other bodies 'cause it's the only indoor activity around. Pleeeeease make it stop!

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 29/04/2012 21:17

Our fire just won't stay lit this evening :( we do have the heating still going. If its cold, it's cold.

Loshad that sounds like a really difficult situation. What will happen if the rain continues?

Blatherskite · 29/04/2012 21:17

Oh I'm so sick of doing the School run in the wet Sad

Still, there were a load of very wet and no doubt very miserable people running a marathon here this morning! Makes my shivering under my brolly with my rain cost on seem positively cosy.

Marne · 29/04/2012 21:25

Its chucking it down here in Dorset, i'm scared to look outside as the road will be flooded again. Getting really fed up with it. We need a few dry days so i can cut the grass and sort out the garden (which is like a giant bog at the moment).

Deadsouls · 29/04/2012 21:30

OP - I am so with you. I have been feeling increasingly down and fed up also...PLEASE STOP RAIN!!!

123caughtaflea · 29/04/2012 21:32

'Twas entirely pointless shutting the curtains, because I can hear it throwing down again anyway! It might have been half an hour without rain . . .

barristermum · 29/04/2012 21:36

It's relentless isn't it?

DD (aged 4) came to snuggle in bed with us this morning saying "Mummy, you're really not going to believe this....it's STILL raining".

So wet it went right through my barbour on the way to church and a car going past us created a wave so big it actually arc'd and overshot dd and landed on her offside! Which she thought was hysterical. Fortunately.
