Just come back in to see it all go mad on the weather front in the SE. Be aware that the developing storms may produce damaging hail, flash flooding, c-g strikes (unplug those pcs if there is a storm about) and strong squally winds.

No hail stones yet but I'm off to pick boys up from school/preschool so it'll probably save it for the walk Grin

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/06/2011 14:56

Good luck WoT and all you other school runners! Float well!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/06/2011 14:57

It is possible that some of you in the midlands may catch something a bit later.

seriously though, if anyone lives near Poole, have a look up at the storm formation. Some lovely mammatus reported (you dont need to report back if you dont want to give your location away!)

OP posts:
TobyLerone · 28/06/2011 15:18

Ugh. I just googled 'mammatus clouds' and they look gross!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/06/2011 15:21

they are not gross, they are really cool and dramatic!

OP posts:
TobyLerone · 28/06/2011 15:23

Most of these are awesome, but I stand by my 'mammatus clouds look gross' statement.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/06/2011 15:23

Grin some of the pictures on google do make me feel a itchy!

Oooh, I think storms are finally coming to Paris. It's fucking 33 degrees and according to the meteo people, humidity makes it feel like 40. I'm sitting in just my knickers here.

TobyLerone · 28/06/2011 15:26

I'm at work, still waiting for the giant storm.

Antidote · 28/06/2011 15:29

Lots of bedraggled tourists and some moderate size puddles. Traffic seems to be functioning. Haven't been down the tube.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/06/2011 15:29

I take it you arent at work Winny Grin TobyL - you may not get the giant ones :(

OP posts:
OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/06/2011 15:29

bedraggled tourists. excellent. thats what they get for coming to London Grin

TobyLerone · 28/06/2011 15:30

Sky's darkening again. It's looking a bit yellowish, so I'm living in hope.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/06/2011 15:31

oooo

OP posts:
nickelbabe · 28/06/2011 15:31

the sky had been dark for ages (since the last thunder) and then it just opened
about 15 minutes of pure tipping it down.

and i was able to show DH where my downpipe doesn't work properly (it's not spillingout halfway down like i thought, but overflowing over the top - must be backing up from the drain that doesn't drain)

winnybella · 28/06/2011 15:31

Er, no Grin

Looking at the map it seems we're on the edge of the stormy weather Confused I think. I want a big one!
