Potential gales Monday

Been too busy to look at weather stuff in any detail at all this week

Obviously details are low at the moment but Monday does look quite interesting as a low moves through. Strong gusty winds, which many of us have not seen for a good while. met office are showing gusts over 40mph right across the uk, 50-60mph in places Keep an eye on this in case the low deepens more than they expect.

habbi - at a quick glance it looks like a high pressure is starting to build with temps on the coldish side. at the moment gfs is showing a lot of moisture and as a complete guess I would insert the snow word into your prospects.
Of course things may well change.....

Thursday looks pretty rough for scotland and perhaps northern england. Lots of isobars with another deep low pressure.

It was very windy overnight but today has been very calm and all day sunshine.

Saw this on News24 about the weather in Scotland today. Don't think I'd like to be stuck on that passenger ferry!

Thankfully he's fine thanks OhYouBadBadKitten, but keeping him locked in his hut over night/when out for the next few days though - just in case

the mound of earth, WAS what filled the large trough type planters & pots that were around the top of our wall, looked worse than it was, as also mixed with the plants :(........though its pretty sheltered & they've seen plenty of storms before though & never even budged an inch

& weirdly I slept through all of it, even though its right under my bedroom window it was apparently all fine before DH left for work, so it must of happened sometime between 6 & 6.30,

I am in LA and it was so windy today all my son's foam flooring has been whipped into the air wizard of oz style-

warnings out for this morning for se 50-70mm rain. I'm on an outdoor school trip. oh dear.

Miserable here and I'm finding it difficult to stay away from the cakes. This always happens as soon as winter hits, I just crave sugar! Had a celeb slim yogurt berry bar which has done the trick. Looking out at the wind and rain and wondering why I didn't wear an extra layer today!

well weird one here still, looked nasty REAL out there, but when I went out very wrapped up for the school run, bar a bit of drizzle, compared to yesterday it was actually quite warm

Not for long though.....plant/pot debris cleared, but as it was after dark, DH naively thought he could get away with piling the soil in the corner so we can re-use it later - he let the Rabbit out, & said Rabbit has now had a party, & as our yard would now make a good wallow for a couple of pigs, I can only presume it was really pouring down earler ......& it soon started again....thankfully after I got back indoors :) & theres now rivers running down the roads outside

So glad we don't live in a flood area, but Sussex is under a severe weather warning & its threatened to last a month, so I can think of a few we know who will be worrying :(

Fortunately most of the rain had cleared through so it was just damp but grey and cold. I feel chilled to my core.
