Not even going to pretend I don’t want something twatty, so don’t come at me.
I love a posh little market town. Basically I’m trying to replace Chipping Campden as for various personal reasons we can’t go to the Cotswolds anymore.

Criteria in order:
pretty town which doesn’t hate tourists or visitors.
nice pub or pubs, roaring fire vibe.
upmarket high street
good restaurants and cafes, extra points for an excellent restaurant.
nice deli
high street gallery and antique shop
possible to stay in the town
preferably some nice country walks around the area.
Max two or three hours drive from London.

Many thanks in advance.

Holt in Norfolk

Stockbridge in Hampshire.

It literally hits every single one of your Criteria. Check out the Grosvenor or the Greyhound on the Test.

Intrigued as to why you can't go to the Cotswolds anymore...did you make a play for Jezzer?

Oakham in Rutland. Most of Rutland is quite twatty.

Following, we are in the Cotswolds but have always fancied going south east (more sunshine I think?).

Marlborough Wiltshire. Lovely High Street, reasonable property prices. Surrounded by lovely countryside and pretty villages.

Holt
Ilkley, if you want to go north

Tisbury, Wiltshire. Fairly similar to Chipping Campden. Has Beckford Arms and Pythouse Kitchen Gardens nearby which attract similar people.

Just here for the gossip about why you cant go to the Cotswolds - thought I'd be upfront 😬

I feel I should add that as far as I’m aware I’m not the reason OP can’t be in the Cotswolds 😂
