I'll pop a link in the old one so you know where to find safe haven. I have tried to clear out some space by getting rid of the ohp and vcr trolley and gin is hidden behind the sick sand bucket.

I had a Bob incident today.

"But miiiiiisss, I don't GET it."

Why yes Bob, that because you've missed the last 3 lessons, and according to your mates it's because you'd rather sleep and play playstation (I love how the grass each other up). I've flagged it with your form tutor but yes Bob, you are going to struggle to understand when you don't come to lessons Hmm

PlayStations have a lot to answer for! They have featured on a lot of threads today.

FrippEnos · 25/02/2021 16:53

I like this one as well

Full on teaching and an afterschool meeting today. But lordy the 50th is open for business. Long live the republic and long live the broom cupboard

Give me strength. Got home and all the power is out. There are 3 adults stood round the fire alarm control panel trying to stop it beeping, which it won’t do if it doesn’t have power and discussing who’s going to phone the landlord to sort the power out.

‘Is it just our building the, rather than a power cut’.
‘I don’t know. How would we find that out? I’m not sure what we should do.’

Novel idea, but perhaps check the rest of the street before you ask the landlord to come round and fix it.

GuyFawkesDay · 25/02/2021 17:05

@FrippEnos oh yea, it's my theme tune 😂

MrsHerculePoirot · 25/02/2021 17:25

Do any of your schools have iPad/laptop/chrome books schemes? Is there anyone who might be able to answer some questions for me at all?

MrsHamlet · 25/02/2021 17:45

We've moved @MrsHerculePoirot

Just checking you didn't find the level 5 serious emergency gin. In lockdown no. 312 you'll be glad I hid it so well.

Does level 5 come after tier 4 or before national alert level 62?

HarrietDVane · 01/03/2021 21:51

Brrr! I thought it was meant to be spring? Can anyone smell burning?

In continuation from the previous thread, Ofsted really are bastards aren’t they? Are hospitals still getting audits of departments and being judged on their performance at the moment during a pandemic, or are they being left to, you know, get on and do their job?!

I hope no one is sitting on a chair here lol.

How can OFSTED do a visit during lockdown? Okay hold up your books to the camera and wave. Sorry Mrs Inspector I didn't mean to have you on mute for my lesson..

TheHoneyBadger · 06/03/2021 12:02

Just popped the heating on in case.

Hiya, just finished the old thread with this:

Yeah, am still confused, but now am hoping the fact that the Beeb is actually talking about it will lead to proper debate/clear explanations ??

Just realised it might help glasses wearers on here to say I've now finally found an answer to the misting problem when masking:

MrsHerculePoirot · 06/03/2021 12:14

Do they work @JanFebAnyMonth?

JanFebAnyMonth · 06/03/2021 12:22

Yes sorry, that's what I meant, Dd and I have both tried them, and they do!! All day from one wipe.

You sometimes get momentary misting outside, but it clears quickly without having to take your glasses off, wipe them on your scarf or whatever's to hand, or trying to cease breathing, which I find tends to have other more difficult consequences!

noblegiraffe · 06/03/2021 12:27

Which wipes do you use. Jan? Have you tried the micro fibre cloth?

Bananasaretheonlyfruit · 06/03/2021 12:28

Hi everyone.
Name change here. Long overdue I think.

MsAwesomeDragon · 06/03/2021 12:40

I've never had a problem with my glasses fogging up for more than a few seconds when changing temperature (generally from cold outside to warm inside). I don't know why. Maybe it's something to do with the shape of my glasses, or the shape of my masks, or maybe even the shape of my face?

BustopherPonsonbyJones · 06/03/2021 12:42

Thanks, Jan. I have all the protective stuff on mine so am wary of Amazon products. I’m guessing vision express make sure the protective stuff is protected. It will be nice to see when I step outside!

Piggywaspushed · 06/03/2021 12:47

I have just bought some of the No Fog ones for DS so we shall see!
