Just posting as Chelsy was in the Royal Family folds for many years.
What a beautiful family & life she has. Very happy for her. Her life looks so idyllic, what a handsome husband too!

Prince Harry's ex Chelsy Davy avoided marriage before meeting husband

In a candid post, the Zimbabwe-born socialite, who dated Harry on and off for seven years from 2004, says she was more committed to having fun than being a mother or in a meaningful relationship.

i can't think what this has to do with the royal family topic. but can guess what you want to happen.

Kingsandqueenz · 07/10/2026 07:58

Chelsy was Harry's girlfriend for years & attended many royal events & weddings, the British public was very fond of her & it is lovely to see her living such an idyllic life with her beautiful family.

She is much more than a socialite.
Chelsy is well educated and has worked hard and has also forged her own family.
Good management on her behalf.
I admire her.

KassandraOfSparta · 07/10/2026 08:08

She dodged a bullet, didn't she? Qualified as a solicitor, lives quietly, seems content with her lot. And keeps her mouth shut - she could make ££££ giving interviews or writing a book about her 5 years with Harry and has chosen not to. That alone says that she is smart, trustworthy and savvy. Far too good for him!

I doubt most of the British public could pick her out of a line-up.

Exactly & isn't that the goal!! Private & discreet!
Chelsy could have made a fortune after breaking up with Harry but choose to stay silent & private rather than selling him & him family out.
As a qualified lawyer Chelsy was highly educated & obviously very well brought up.

No but they will probably remember her name. She probably foresaw how things would be, marrying a future Kings brother and decided it wasnt for her.
Wise decision IMHO

She most certainly dodged a bullet. Very intelligent, well educated & most importantly private & discreet. Harry's friends loved Chelsy, she was really part of their inner circle.
Love the way she had her fun in Europe before moving back home to Africa & choosing to raise her family there

That entire story is ‘Woman settles down aged 35.’

Or ‘Woman with a new jewellery line to flog blogs about settling down aged 35.’

Hibernating80 · 07/10/2026 08:23

I assume she would have signed a non disclosure so can't talk about her time with Harry

I seriously doubt it! They weren't married, Chelsea was a solicitor she wouldn't be that foolish. Also Harry talked about Chelsy at length in his book, he was obviously very much in love with her & also her family.
She was the one who got away.
Chelsy chose not to speak about Harry as she was also very discreet like Catherine & values her privacy. It's also a sign of respect to Harry & the Royal family to not speak about them in derogatory terms.

In fairness most normal, functional adults don't sell out their partner of his or her family to make a quick buck!!!

None of us know whether there's an NDA or not. Equally likely there's not. She's not short of cash, she may be choosing not to talk about it because she's moved on, and happy.

KassandraOfSparta · 07/10/2026 09:23

To add - there is nothing to indicate he treated her badly, or she treated him badly. They split because they wanted different things. She was invited to his marriage to Meghan so they must still be on good terms.

MissyB1 · 07/10/2026 09:26

Agree she definitely dodged a bullet! She was too intelligent for him anyway.

Too intelligent for him I would say.

teaatdawn · 07/10/2026 09:46

Harry cheated on her.
she was well rid.

I really liked them as a couple , I feel had her married Chelsy he would still be much loved by the British public, would still have a great relationship with his brother & all his family, would have had a great relationship with Chelsy's family in Zimbabwe also.

I feel Harry could have done wonderful conservation work in Africa for the crown, he loves Africa & could have had a great life with Chelsy there whilst working for the crown.

What could have been! Delighted Chelsy dodged a bullet, she.deseved so much more & got it!

The phrase "the one who got away" always irks me for some reason. If they were "the one" (stupid notion anyway) they wouldn't have "got away".

Anyway, it's quite disrespectful to Harry's actual wife.

How is it disrespectful? This is a discussion board & the discussion is about Harry's former partner & how different his life would be now had he married Chelsy!

Exactly! And with high self worth people like Chelsy who move in high society discretion & privacy is what they value most!

You don’t have to just move in high society to know the value of discretion and privacy.

Absolutely it's just basic class, good manners, maturity & common sense. Most functional human beings value their privacy & being discreet.

Just trying to link to an interview with her this morning on News 24 in Australia but it's not working. This is very telling.

However, their relationship made major headlines over the years, with Chelsy later dubbing the media scrutiny she experienced while dating Harry as "full-on" and "uncomfortable".
"I found it very difficult when it was bad. I couldn't cope. I was young, I was trying to be a normal kid and it was horrible," she said in 2016 in an interview with The Times.
