Just posting as Chelsy was in the Royal Family folds for many years.
What a beautiful family & life she has. Very happy for her. Her life looks so idyllic, what a handsome husband too!

That's very true and Chelsy says that it was very difficult to have any privacy from the media while she was in a relationship with Harry.

Well it was featured in the Daily Mail today so it's topical & related to the Royal Family as Chelsy dated Harry on off for over 7 years.
I thought she was fabulous & also loved Cressida who was also & still is wonderfully discreet & private.

but we have no idea what it would be like. there's literally a million guesses. yes maybe they'd have lived happily ever after as working royals with Chelsy supplying a little line of never-be heirs. Maybe she'd have been utterly miserable, had an acrimonious divorce and decided to move her and the kids abroad. Maybe they'd never have managed to have kids together so would have been the main working royals whilst William had his, leading ro bitterness beyween the brothers over who worked hardest and you got the biggest reward, or maybe it would have spurred Wills on to work harder and Chey would have been a doting aunt. Maybe she'd have had an affair or he would. Maybe she'd have talked him into walking away from the family and moving to South Africa to avoid the kids being raised in a media frenzy. maybe maybe maybe.

I think she genuinely loved Harry but just didn't want all the scrutiny & baggage that came with being married to him. She valued her privacy more, smart girl!

One thing is for certain had Harry married Chelsy he would never have sold out his family. Like Catherine Chelsy came from a very strong, supportive, functional family so would never have expected Harry to fall out with his.
She wouldn't & still hasn't sold out the royals.
He would still have all his old friends as Chelsy was part of that set before she starting dating Harry.

I’m not so sure I’d agree with the ‘functional family’ thing — her father’s money couldn’t be dodgier. His giant safari business for years had one of Mugabe’s henchmen as a director, and there were well-evidenced claims by Zimbabwean journalists that he was involved in the illegal export of rhino horn with senior Zanu -PFF figures, hence why he was unusual as a white landowner in being able to hold onto his huge landholdings after independence.

I'm taking about Chelsy's relationship with her family, they were very close knit, supportive & discreet. Harry speaks very lovingly of the Davy's in Spare about how he used to love visiting them in Zimbabwe sitting up late drinking Gin & Tonics.
That type of supportive, loving family would have done wonders for Harry in the way that the Middleton's have for William.
Family is everything.

And Chelsy’s set were essentially white African Footballers’ Wives. There was already media criticism at the time about William ‘doing Africa responsibly’ via conservation charities and friends with discreet private estates where he could misbehave off radar, while Harry was getting pissed in nightclubs with the modern equivalent of the Happy Valley set and not seen to be covering himself in glory, added to a girlfriend from the murky, unpleasant world of Zimbabwean landowners, with a dodgy dad and indiscreet friends (and wasn’t there a dodgy uncle who was always claiming they were going to get married?), I’m not sure it would have been any kind of idyll.

Chelsy was also very close to & still is friends with Melissa Percy. She was friends with all Harry's aristo set before they became a couple. So it sounded like she had lots of good friends groups which is a very good sign of her character!
So what if Harry got pissed in his 20s, didn't we all! At least he was enjoying himself, he looks so angry & miserable now ,it's so sad..

That’s not quite true , it came out in one of Harry’s court cases, when he joined the army he stopped communicating with her, so she ended it, she kept trying, but he was blanking her, and off doing his own thing, he tried to say some press intrusion was the cause of it ending, it was proven it was not. He was just a twat and utter shit to her
