She was probably worried it would end up on eBay!

Good one! 😁

I think this is going to be a very interesting swerve round the NDA drama.

The Harolds aren't the only ones AK47 has beef with.

🍿

I agree. It's pretty clear that Angela Kelly was a favourite with the late Queen but less popular elsewhere. I've read one of her books and it was interesting about the Queen's Jubilee wardrobe.

I know she was asked to leave her grace and favour home but she was bought another one and I assumed her existing property was needed for incoming staff. It sounds brutal but it's what happens with tied cottages.

If she wanted to I bet she has a number of stories the family wouldn't want released to the public, but the question is would she betray confidences like that. I'm not sure she would. She is not Harry after all.

Anyone else seen this ?

IF that is true, poor little Hamlets.

I don't think she would betray the Queen's confidence. I think the King would probably be off limits too. She might consider H fair game since he attacked her in Spare at a time when she couldn't answer back.

Maybe she discussed with the Queen what she might put in any future book.

Charles bought her a house, Derbyshire way near family. I am sure she was well paid for her work. I think she was disliked by some...including it seems Charles because she was a bit of a gate keeper. In reality would she have wanted to stay in Windsor after the Queens death. The Queen and Philip liked her alot. Apparently he was the one that first met her at some embassy or other which were having some important guests and she refused to tell Philip who they were. Her discretion impressed him.

Well I’ve just caught up after my annual excursion to the laundromat to wash the duvet. (Biannual actually as the summer one gets done in spring). Being in the Cotswolds there are notices on every machine saying “Please do not wash dog beds or horse blankets in the machine”! I always put a big slug of that Dettol antibacterial laundry sanitizer in! There’s a laundromat in an expensive part of Bath which has a big sink and shower where you can shampoo your dog. I bet people wash the dog beds in the machines there while they are laundering their dog.

Anyway a pleasant sunny afternoon was spent pottering around the shops and coffee outlets in between topping up the dryer. I noted a large pile of unsold Swansong 🦢 books being ignored by the book buying public in Waterstones.
I haven’t even felt the need for a medicinal gin.

I bring to you a not very good picture (due to reflection of the shop window) of literally the most frightful jacket ever. Just why would anyone think it a good idea to apply lurex sleeves to a tweed jacket? Did they run out of material and think oh well may as well use this stuff up? Did they think this will hit the brief for day to evening wear?

Apologies for a non H&M related derail.

Imagine if Angela Kelly has been biding her time in agreement with the Mail … waiting …

I do think H is now a sitting duck in PR terms.

He has lost the ANL/Mail case;
He will lose the PR battle with Sentebale even if it’s settled (he’ll have to apologise);
He has lost his father’s last piece of patience;
He has lost family connections;
He has lost any respect as a speaker;
He has lost all respect over his pompous security pronouncements;
He is losing M.

That's quite a list of failures

I probably would have tried to take on AK if I was MM back in 2022 after TLHMQ passed. Not take on as in squabble, I mean as in, as hire as staff

It seems she'd be a no-nonsense, grounded type, and knows all the satorial BP insider with connections and knowledge.

I can imagine they would clash mightily, but if I was MM, I'd want AK around, and after the death of the late QE, AK might have been willing to take the role, assuming no Megxit had taken place

MM could have had a very good life if she had let herself

Yep. I think M will make her move back home soon. Her message to the RF will be, ‘You keep an eye on him - he’s your problem now. I just want money. I’m done. Don’t mess with me and I’ll keep my mouth shut.’

Ha. That makes me think of a No Nonsense, Northern, ex army senior midwife on Labour ward when I was a student midwife. She had a spoilt, wealthy, drug abusing woman to care for and was outraged when, after the baby was born, the woman asked her to come and be her nanny!

Wonder how they knew when the most secretive, security conscious couple would be arriving 🤔

And why isn’t there a burly chap with a Kevlar shield following them close behind, with another one carrying Meghan’s bag? Or were they airbrushed out of the photo.?

Lord, not more bloody fish and chips. Or is this a ‘sweet nod’ (aaaagh) to Uncle Andrew and his war service, going to the Falkland Arms pub?

They are at rock bottom now. Here they are tipping off the Sun. They really want people to know where they’re staying.

They’ll be posting on here next pretending to be either excitable HaM fans or international villains.

They’re like children with notions.

bluegreygreen · Yesterday 23:21

[The pub] is named after Lucius Cary, the 2nd Viscount Falkland, who fought with Royalists in the Civil War and died in 1643.
His family still own the Great Tew Estate — where Harry and Meghan lived before they moved to the US.

This bit confused me, as I only knew about Nottingham and Frogmore Cottages. For anyone else who wasn't up to speed:

And when William becomes King, Harry will be painted as his loser brother. When he could have been by his side, supporting him. It would have been a much easier life too…

Re Tiaragate.
AK was at Windsor with HLMTQ.
Harry/Meghan/Hairdresser (all three or combination of) rocked up at BP and demanded tiara.
They were told they couldn’t have it as AK wasn’t there and AK was they keyholder for the jewel vault which is obviously only accessed by very few people.
Meghan not Happy, Harry kicks off, phones Windsor and kicks off at AK.
The odious couple left empty handed.
Harry phones HLMTQ to complain about AK. (AK was utterly devoted to HM who I believe loved AK too. She did pretty much everything for HM and only rarely left her.)
HM had obviously heard Angelas side of the story, listened to Harry who was rude about Angela.
HM then tears a strip off Harry for the way he had spoken to AK and for his ridiculous entitled behaviour that he thought he could just waltz into BP, demand a tiara from the vault and take it to a bloody hairdressers!! Never mind insisting his granny’s dresser leaves his granny and comes back into central London to get it for him.
iIt brings me great joy that neither of them will ever get their hands on any of the glorious jewels in the vault.

on first glance, I thought they were lookalikes. Harry’s legs look much shorter and Meghan looks very different, and really short.

“Imagine my surprise when there just happened to be a photographer- who didn’t want any credit for his pictures -was just waiting at the exact pub we went to for lunch “.
🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
They are so transparent they make cling film look opaque.

If I had been in the pub I genuinely don’t think I could have stopped myself from proclaiming in a loud voice how “wonderful the Prince & Princess of Wales are and look DD at this lovely picture of the Princess of Wales with Tom Cruise. And yes, William IS handsome DH and I totally agree - he looks more and more like his mother”.

BigWillyLittleTodger · Today 00:40

I knew Meghan wasn’t tall but she’s even shorter than I thought looking at those pictures.

I don’t think he bought her a house. He bought a house in Derbyshire which she can live in for the rest of her life but he has retained ownership. I think a lot of palace staff were jealous because of her close relationship with and access to the Queen.
