Was King Charles wrong to take a rose from Charles Spencer's bouquet?

Charles Spencer says as Diana's coffin was lowered into the ground, several people there dropped flowers on the coffin. King Charles took a rose from Charles Spencers bouquet and dropped it on Diana's coffin.

This struck me as it shows a very casual disregard for other people's feelings. This was Charles Spencers flowers, but without a thought, king Charles took mine of the flowers. And remember relationships were extremely strained between the two men.

Sometimes I think the smallest incidents like this can reveal someone's true character. It's like someone being rude to a waiter. The king just acts like no one else matters except what he wants.

Diana named her mother as one of her two executors. If she had not wanted her mother there she would have changed her will.
We have zero idea of the mechanism of how the sisters were involved. We know Charles phoned them and invited them in the flight. We don't know if they asked who else was going. We do know the flight was hours after they were told of their sisters death.

Charles was there to support his sons. It didn't matter if he had a flower to throw on top of his ex wife's coffin. As he didn't have flowers he should have just supported his sobs.

As a legal eagle yourself you must know what there is often a difference between what people want and what is recorded legally as their wishes at any particular point in time

otherwise Diana would have been in and out of her Lawyers offices on a regular basis

Yes and out of respect he shoud have had his own flowers and no he shouldn't have pinched one !!

Diana had already added a codicil to her will once. For very rich people adding a codicil is a five minute job. The solicitor visits you at home.
Diana did not add a codicil removing her mother as an executor. Her mother had been an executor for a long time. The king was not an executor yet made the arrangements to collect Diana's body and invited her sisters to join him on the flight.
